Good day all.

Nothing shiny to report BUT I have finally taken the plunge into DIY. A local retailer has put together a couple of DIY kits whose base ingredients should be enough to make a few 60 ml batches. The kit itself is cheaper than if the ingredients were to be purchased separately, and with yesterday’s holiday sales in Canada, I picked it up for the price of a 60ml bottle of premium juice. Looking forward to it.

I do not have a precision scale that can be used – will see how the drip method works out prior to investing in a scale. But I can rely on my cats expertise – she is quite accurate at eye balling measurements. One bacon strip plus 1 chicken leg equals yummy. 2 bacon strips plus 1 chicken leg equals more yummy.

Speaking of which, yesterdays sunny and warm(ish) weather sent her into a furry ball of uncontrollable energy. Spent the day playing fetch, tag, hide and seek with a few cuddle breaks in between. I had a number of cat naps, she had none! To be young again!
Don't start with 60ml batches. Have any flavors yet?

Drip method? If you are taking about mixing by counting drops I would advise against it. Very inaccurate, graduated cylinder or beaker and a couple syringes would better serve you. Honestly the scale is cheap, personally I would have saved money if I had started with the scale.

Thanks for the response Letitia – TBH I have not spent much time into research. DIY was something I was always interested in but have not taken it much further than reading the few posts made here and perhaps a YT vid or 2. As for the scale – despite my lack of knowledge I agree, but will most likely source something locally. I have read and seen vids where they counted drips oppose to measurement by weight. I do have a kitchen scale, but it lacks in resolution….no 0.XX

The 60ml reference was just to compare cost, and a estimated amount I am able to make in total- not the amount I am going to attempt to make on a per batch. That will be gallons ;)

The kit is based around a strawberry cream recipe, so the flavours included, which are 6 different 30ml flavours if sweetener and marshmallow are considered flavours, plus 500ml of VG, 120ml of PG and 60ml of nic based VG. It is probably not the most economical way of getting into DIY, in terms of flexibility, but it is small enough for me to at least get my feet wet and experiment a little. Guarantee I will be purchasing other flavours to attempt at mixing up something other than strawberry cream. It should arrive later this week. 100% positive I will have a ton of questions.

I’m having a Monday moment ... forgot to add the bloody link!
Sigelei Chronus Baby 80W Starter Kit – VaporDNA
I kept my j80, great stealth mod. Fortunately, because I’m pretty sure a joystick and I would not get along
I like that one! Looks about the same as the J80 with a centered 510 and joystick. I am thinking about trading her my cobble for the J80 back. I think it would be better for her. That one is going on the top of the list.

I haven't even started mixing yet, but I agree with this wholeheartedly. DIY'ing is just like cooking, and scales are better (easier/neater/more accurate/more efficient) for that. In my opinion.

You make me itch to get started, @Punk In Drublic! Too bad I have so much old juice to vape through.

You can vape through your old juice while the DIY stuff steeps. :)

That’s one of the reasons why I am looking into DIY. My taste in juices seems to change like the weather…today it maybe an apple pie flavour – tomorrow I just do not want to vape it anymore. I can always go back to Apple pie down the road but looking at my accumulation that does not seem to be happening.

sxmini meh...103 puffs. kaput.
I really like the looks of it but the 450 mah battery turned me off. I think I will be happier with a regular tiny mtl rig for salt nic. Hoping the Pebble/Hastur does the trick. 1300 mah and super tiny.

Edit: I really like the Orion, but I dropped it hard and panels flew and battery fell out. It still works but I need something more durable.

Got my Goon 25.

This thing is a joke. It has to be a joke. There's no way this is real.

It's so power hungry I had to put it on a regulated mod. I'm vaping this thing at 175W. I consider myself more of a flavour oriented vaper, but with this much cloud there's no way to not get flavour.

Babydoll is going to kill me if she can find her way into the living room when she gets home.

Also came with scratches. Thank you. Love them so much.
