I have mixed feelings about the Recurve. It's a good atty with decent flavor and airy enough if you're not focusing on clouds. I just find from a flavor perspective I do better with little flavor bangers like the Venna and KRMA (clones). As leak resistant as the Recurve, as easy to build, and very concentrated flavors. Definitely not for clouds but more than enough to satisfy you if that's not your thing. There are a whole bunch of 22 mm RDAs that work great for squonking.

I'm not knocking the Recurve, I have 2 myself, but I don't think I'd be happy with it as my only or even main squonk choice. That's totally subjective so no rules on that. The Recurve will accept a larger coil like fused Claptons than some of the little attys without crowding the chamber, but the little ones can be amazing even with just a plain simple round coil.

What build do you have in the KRMA @Eskie? I have a hard time getting decent flavor from it, could be coil placement too.

Right now a simple Clapton ~0.45 ohm. I do raise it up to get more air coming under the coil. In the Venna a simple round 26G 316L of x wraps to come in at 0.54 I think. Slightly raised, but not as much as the KRMA. Both live on mech squonks.

I like the look of that SXK KRMA..

Thanks for the heads up.

So these do an airy MTL?

Do they whistle?

No whistling that I've heard. I would call it more a restricted DL but you could turn it down a bit. The airflow adjustment on both really doesn't give you a wide choice to dial in, so I think it's a case of if you like it open you're good to go. If you're fiddly with dialing in your airflow just so they're not the best choice.

Today is my 7 year vape anniversary, and tomorrow is my real birthday. I’m thinking I need a shiny to celebrate... was thinking of looking at Atmizoos other tanks (I love the Creek rda), unless someone has objections or better ideas. Also toying with the idea of a billet box... but that sounds like a bottomless shiny pit. I know zero about BBs. Can it be done for a reasonable cost, and how does that tank thing really work?

Thanks, I'll have to try that. I might just be looking for too much from the KRMA.

I do prefer the Venna. That one is a joy that just fits my taste.

For dual coil rdas which obviously have and need more airflow I really like bottom or bottomish airflow. Not quite like a Kennedy, but some of those slanted bottom air setups with a bit of a juice well to limit leaking. Obviously even with care bottom type airflow atty designs will still be a challenge to keep totally dry, but for me it's worth it even if I do have to clean up after every bottle full I run.

definitely like to cut the leads to length prior to final screwdown w/Nixon if ya don't have a fancy angled wire snipper. I cant ever find mine & wind up using scissors :?: Wotofo is killing the atty game for sure though. really want to grab the profile. next time I buy a mod, I'll grab it to put on top :p

The BB is amazing, mine is always with me. Authentic's can get quite expensive but you can pick up an SXK DNA60 version for roughly 100$. It comes with a Kanger coil bridge but there is an A-Tank (they are called Borro's) available that will allow you to use Aspire Atlantis compatible coils. The Vaporesso EUC ceramic (Atlantis Adapter Version) has phenomenal flavor and the Eleaf EC-Mesh coil works great too. I don't use any of the BB RBAs (Insider, VapeShell, Exocet) anymore, the maintenance is a PiTA on them and the drop ins are so much more convenient.

The biggest money pit for the authentic BBs are the accessories, you can get a stock BB from Billet Box Vapor for $265. Keep in mind that the authentic does NOT have a USB port for charging or connecting to eScribe like the SXK clone does.

The B2K is my goto single coil RSA, love it to bits. Dual is the Kali V2 and Goon 24, very hard to beat. I was never a fan of bottom air Kennedy style RDAs, they were just to messy for me. :D

I'm still totally puzzled why they never put the USB on the authentics. That lapse alone is enough to make me want to go with the SXK if I ever went for one. The advantage to the DNA 60 was the ability to use eScribe. I guess with the small production runs and high price there was no pressure on about the port, but I find it troubling to offer something at that price that fails to provide such a simple and essential feature.

This sounds like quite the rabbit hole... so, you buy the borro boxes separate? The atmizoo bridge says: “RBA bridge concept for Billet Box rev4 Boro tank and compatible tank systems”. Would it work with the SXK? I’d already looked at that one on FT

I see a 60w and 70w sxk version. 70 is cheaper, but not dna? I doubt I’ll ever use escribe, as I haven’t yet on any other mod. I’m wattage only.
