I love spotted turtles! I wish Florida would put them on our protected species list. The wild population across the entire South has been hit hard by the pet trade.

Btw, thanks for saving the little guy/gal... I wonder if it was a female looking for a nesting spot. If you ever see one again you can tell the difference between a male and female by their chin--males have a black chin and females' chins are orange or red.
We have a tortoise here in the Sud de France which is getting rarer and rarer. They still exist mainly in the Maures mountains the beginning of which I can see from my terrace :)

I agree with you Charlie , I just wish the work alarm clock in my head understood Sunday is a day off. :D

The one thing I looked forward to all the years I worked was not having to get up early. Cruel twist of fate, I cannot seem to sleep past 6 am.

@Zazie i knew you’d take right to RBAs. I’m sure you’ll find a bunch to try, since you know who has similar tastes to yours.

Not sure if I told you folks this story, but 10-15 years ago, there was a story in the local paper about a missing tortoise. Asking for help to locate the big fellow, lots of pictures of him, and everyone was following it to see if he’d find his way home.

It was talk of the town when he wandered home, weeks later.

Soon there was more info on it, his owner was surprised to find his personality had changed. He ate food he’d never liked, he interacted differently with his people, etc.

In the midst of this musty, a similar large tortoise went missing.

Turns out, the owners of the missing tortoises had found each other’s pets.

I still can’t fathom how two animals the size of an ottoman wandered around a small Ohio town and nobody saw them.

After a few hours testing this Gloom is a great little clone. Currently running the NarEA with a (32+32+32)*3 + 40 coming out to 0.3 ohm Ni80. Responsive fire button and feels solid and confortable. The shape is known to be one of the most comfortable mods to hold ever....I agree....

Should I get one, your asking yourself?? Well I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to go for it. I'm quietly impressed with the build quality for something that cost under 20 euros :) It works well and I love the in hand feel and top plate fire switch.....get one :)

Beautiful Hermann's Tortoise! They are one of the more popular tortoises over here due to their small size.

Good morning Shiny's
Managed to get the current rotation coils cleaned and wicked, also mixed a couple lemon mixes using the MF lemon so the long steep can begin. Looking forward to trying them out, been reading how good the MF is for months.

Sold. What's the squonk bottle like, and will it take just a generic without hunting for a proprietary bottle?

Yes the squonk bottle is the same height and diametre as a VV pulse bottle which is a standard size I believe. The included bottle is probably low quality but it's very supple. It seems to take a little bit of time to suck back after a squonk though. The connection system is the same as many.....the tube sticks out of the top around 8 mm and it slides on to the copper receptor under the 510.

Hope you enjoy it :)
