Good morning shiny folks. I woke. Late. I guess I could do everything a little later today or something. IDK. Too much to do today. I really want to do some flavors very a LOT! Sigh. It's last on the to do list, though.

My large 21700 dicodes arrives in 2 days. Titan grey.

Having a conservatory is fantastic....they come into their own in the winter sunshine and also think of all the rare species of plants you can grow year round :) Looks like there has been some good attention to detail there.....and nice paint job too ;)
I’m proud of what Himself has built, he’s quite meticulous with details. Ours will just have screens. Since we’re subtropical, I can keep my orchids outside year round, just bringing them in for the brief cold spells. The screens are key here, to keep the mosquitoes and other flying beasties outside. And the fans to make being outside bearable in the heat and humidity. I’m jealous @stols001 of your future sunsets! No view here, except a yard full of citrus trees. I will miss my geckos on the nook windows though.

Oh well if you're sub-tropical there's no use in plants being indoors. It'll be great as you say for sitting and not being attacked by the bugs etc...Doesn't sound a bad view to me...a yard full of citrus trees..:thumb:

The med lemons we have are fantastic but where I am it is too cold in the winter for eating oranges....we only have the bitter ones.

Anyway I hope you both enjoy the fruits of your labour :)

OK, last one about the panel makeover --- here's a quick gif of the panels installed back on the mod:

I'm really impressed....did you take them through the polishing treatment or were they pretty good from the get go?

Good job  Maybe you could do a step by step on the mods thread about the resin application process??

I can’t wait to sit on the teak sofa and vape while I watch the birds at the feeder. That Gloom clone looks very interesting, especially if it takes og Pulse bottles (of which I have a stash). You got it from FT?

Yes FT...it was only 18 euros. I think @Eskie is going to get one...you can hardly go wrong at that price :)

I have been vaping it all day and had one problem about half an hour ago where it refused to squonk (it was blocked somehow)but re screwed on the rda and it's fine....obviously a temperamental 510 :)

Titan Mod FTW, did you get another tank too?

I hate posts like that, the sides always seem a little to soft and eventually spread, those look quite beefy though.

the titan mod gets used often. never got another build deck for the broken RTA. hope you're still getting mileage from the example that originated here.

No polishing ... it would need another day or so to be sure its fully cured --- and I'm not sure how well this artist resin would take to polishing, that'll have to be another experiment. It doesn't cure to a super hard surface, so other resins might be more appropriate for this kind of application.

There are a few tiny bubbles that I missed that partially rose up after I left the panels alone, visible from some angles and causing very tiny micro-pimples in the surface ... but I'm ok with that at the moment. Might have to order a few sets of panels from FT just to play with.

The land we be looking at, we got VISTAS. VISTAS for days.

We are considering (although I still LOVE that 48 acre plot) something smaller like 10-15 acres. 48 is kind of a LOT and you do have to like, do some routine maintenance on stuff even if it's "wilderness" land. Also it has two large washes on it, and that could wind up a problem.

But yes--vistas. I grew addicted to seeing the sun rise and set in my Tucson house (it also had vistas for miles) .... like, this is gonna be even better. I'm getting antsy.

That means TEETH then notes. Sigh. I really hav4 a ton of tank maintenance to do I hope I can get to it. Maybe with one eye on Meredith Grey.

I'm on season 6! She is starting to look elderly and she isn't aging well at all! Something to do with her skin, I believe.

Yes...mine were only around 30 dollars if I remember correctly. The finish looks nice and shiny...by rights you shouldn't need to polish a resin pour it should be shiny from the get go which I think you have achieved here...

Well done :)

Well I threw a Limelight in my cart. I'll just wait if there's a FT special July 4th code as I have a few other things in the cart, so what's another few days when it'll take forever to get here anyway.

I know some places already started advertising sales beginning this weekend, but IIRC they get slightly better on the actual day.

$22.03 Limelight Freehand Gloom Styled Squonk Mechanical Box Mod - 1*18650 / built-in 8ml squonk bottle / ABS at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I've got the silver version coming, currently it's over the Pacific somewhere ;)

Rebuildables win, so far (a sample of two). Much more intense and nuanced flavor. I've only got one on an adjustable mod, but I'm vaping it at lower power, so I'll be saving on juice, too. Think I may need to reduce my nic as well.

Things are going to get crazy here, though: I feel compelled to try out every atty I get, so I'm going to end up with a crazy number of set-ups for a while. I plan to put the same juice in some of them, to see if I can discern any differences. That'll be an entertaining experiment.

A Doggy question for you: All the videos I've watched say to cut the wick so the tails just touch the bottom of the juice well. Is that what you do? Or are there tricks I should know?

Nah I always have long tails, and so does nearly everyone else here who has one. I normally just cut the tails in line with the base, then tuck them under the deck in the juice wells. Here's two examples, the first is @bigbob2322 's using rayon, second is mine trying out 26 gauge (went back to 28 ga ;))

With cotton, you literally just stuff the cotton into the coil, cut the tails and poke them under. It doesn't need any more finesse than that ;)

After a few hours testing this Gloom is a great little clone. Currently running the NarEA with a (32+32+32)*3 + 40 coming out to 0.3 ohm Ni80. Responsive fire button and feels solid and confortable. The shape is known to be one of the most comfortable mods to hold ever....I agree....

Should I get one, your asking yourself?? Well I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to go for it. I'm quietly impressed with the build quality for something that cost under 20 euros :) It works well and I love the in hand feel and top plate fire switch.....get one :)
    Into the cart.

I thought I remembered seeing this around here. Thanks! I wonder why the reviewers say what they do.

No building for me today, due to MSyness. I'd be frustrated if I didn't feel dead. It's a silver lining that serves me well.

Well this is exciting even as we speak I am in a competition on FB to win some exquisitely beautiful mother of pearl panels for my billet box....exciting.

They come from Thailand and are handmade. I'm one of 57 in with a chance :)
WHAT  i'm going to Thailand and giving up vaping (cause they might lock me up), and you're getting pearly BB panels from there. I could've taken my BB with and fitted the panels there....that is just not fair...UH UH :(

After a few hours testing this Gloom is a great little clone.
What i'm interested in Charlie is how hard it hits. I've been eying this for months now but reluctant because of that. I love the look of the grip but it needs to hit properly. One of my mechanical squonkers (the Squeeze) have that problem....voltage loss because of the design. The path from the battery positive to the contact is to long resulting in the loss.
