I lost the relisted auction for that ProVari mini that I missed out on a few days ago. Didn't hurt too much, I'm happy to say. I think after buying the Reos and the Creeks, my shinyitis needs some time to reboot.
There's still that other one though....3 days left...ish :D

Well after a very unsatisfying nap I decided that despite my decision to stash the RAM, I decided to put it into rotation.

What, you're surprised?

So I stuck a Recuve with a 6-7 wrap simple 26G in it, came in at 0.5 ohm (must have got the wrap count right). The problem for me with the Recurve is I usually like a contact coil, but with simple round wire the holes on the deck are too far apart. Works fine with a Clapton or whatever but not a little coil without making all sorts of funny bends in the legs which I have little patience for. The chamber is a little big for a simple coil, but otherwise it vapes fine.

As to the RAM, it works fine. I watched that review by the Biking Vaper and found a few disagreements with it. First, I don't find the button too hard to touch, and I don't have super strong hands. It's as easy as a Pulse BF. I also found with the standard 24 mm cap on the Recurve there is no overhang. It's right to the edge but you sure can't see it or even feel it if you run your fingernail up the side (without scratching anything after all the time polishing) so I've got to say that's not an issue. The 510 inside isn't wobbly, the button makes a solid contact, and the 510 pin is good with solid contact so no leaking thus far and the atty sits flush, no gap. It looks like a tiny gap if you blow up the photo, but in normal conditions my eyes can't see it (so much for my vision without reading glasses). Glad I bought it before watching the review. A score at any of these clearance prices, so yes, I recommend it, especially if you want to polish it.Here it is in real world use.

Sorry it's a bit blurry, but we'll get to that next.

As long as I was messing around, I decided to make that little video for sourcemore as I haven't heard back from them since their last we'll get back to you email. Put a well saturated atty on top, propped up the phone and spent 10 minutes figuring out how to keep it in the view while not holding the phone, Stuck the battery in, all nice and charged. No autofire.

Tried it again. No autofire. A third time, nope, all good. Five clicks on and fires when you press the button and stops when you release it. Five clicks off. Fourth round and let it sit with the battery. Turned it on and off a few times. Reinserted the battery. Nope, no autofire. Now I don't know what to do. I know the button was covered at all times when I sanded and waxed it. I'm sure because it's dull around the button where I couldn't get to it.

All I can think of is something got into the button during my beauty treatments, maybe the orange oil wax that was fairly thin and runny (and flammable according to the bottle which surprised me until I smelled the terpenes that had to be in it) and a little got in. Now I'm not sure what to do.I'm not sure I can really trust it, but it's all prettied up and seems OK. Maybe just only use when it's right next to me? Kinda annoying, but I'll feel silly sending it in to Asmodus and paying for shipping there and back for them to see a normal mod. Now I'm stumped.

Anyway, after all that I was too ...... to take a really careful pic of the RAM I'm happy with, so that's the pic I've got and I'm not doing it again.

Thank you! There are so many little doo-dads, I was at a loss.

The repair kit comes with a 6ml bottle, feed tube, cap with o-ring, metal spring, P67 positive contact, P67 push button, and P67 strike plate. I put two of them in my cart last night. I've now added the other things you mentioned as well. I hope I never need any of them

FWIW, I have used almost none of the spares I bought for the Reo's (two fair sized boxes full of them acquired because I bought so many Reo's). Early on I collapsed a spring on purpose to see just how fast they reacted to a short. Have never had to replace a spring since. Have used 2-3 small screws and a couple of door magnets because I dropped and lost the originals. Have replaced a couple of positive contacts on the Reos that I used daily for years. Of the several dozen spare joose bottles (both sizes) I have used maybe 5-6 over the years that eventually were stained. Not many because I dedicate a DIY to each mod/atty and that's all I ever vape in a setup. Something else that I have always gone against the grain of is what most folks recommend... pit stopping the Reo's. Take care of them and they never need to be disassembled and washed in water/soapy water. But it is a plus to clean and retreat the positive and negative contact's in them occasionally to keep them hitting hard. I use DeoxIT D100L to clean them (while installed in the Reo), and their G100L to retreat. Here's a video that was made by ReoMeister Robert O'Neil (Reosmods founder) about how to do that...

There are quite a few YouTube videos on the care, repair, modifications done to, etc of Reo's that can be found easy enough with a search.

Enjoy your P67. With a little care it will last a lifetime.

The P67's back when they ran Psyclone Mods Kryten's and a Goon LP.

Hey, you'd know what size atty fits on these! (You'd think I'd've checked before I bought two, wouldn't you?)

They can run 24mm BF atty's without any unsightly overhang. But 24's are just barely over the back edge of the door, so you can only slide it down to access the inside. That's the normal way to move the door anyway to access them, but some folks like to continuously slide Reo doors up a little and snap them back down like a nervous twitch. Unnecessary wear and tear IMO. If you want to twitch the door, use a 22mm atty.

I'm off to Singapore and Thailand in two weeks. Now that the time is getting nearer, the reality is setting in...and building. I'm not allowed to vape over there. For the first time since I stopped smoking i'm going to be tested. Don't really know what to expect...:w00t:
Ive heard several people say they soak toothpicks in juice and chew them in flights etc..
I have not attempted it but worth mentioning.

I’m beat, going to bed as soon as I get my dogs taken care of.

The meals on wheels guy found my mom on the floor, and apartment manager called to say EMS was there. They took her to the ER, where we’ve been all day. No broken bones, fortunately. They checked her out, and finally sent her home.

We hung around and got her fed, and into bed. Hopefully she sleeps straight through.

I have to go over first thing in the morning so I’m tucking in early myself.

G’night all.

Thanks, @Spydro. And what a relief!

Zazie, here's another fun Reo video that you might like to watch that was made by Russ (superXdrifter in Georgia) way back in early 2015. He was one of the more 'color full' characters and a very nice man on the Reo forum back in its heyday. It was made to confirm how bullet proof Reo's are. He made many other Reo help videos back in those days, so you might check for others on YouTube you'd like as well.
