I haven’t polished any of mine, and I don’t really plan to. I might, someday, but I doubt it. So don’t feel bad.

Done enough replying to SMT's posts ;) I agree completely!!!! I'm not going to sand or buff my Luna, I may wax it for protection - but that's it ;)

Yup. All polished and shiny, popped the battery in and autofire. Tried it again, same thing. Contacted sourcemore and after some back and forth emails they're sending a replacement.

I tried it again a few days ago to see if I could get a video of it, but it worked OK.

While I was very careful with everything taped over during the finishing, including the button (which resulted in a little dull area around it, but I wanted to be safe), it's possible a tiny amount of the beeswax and orange oil polish I used to finish it off may have gotten into the button. It was not very viscous wax, so it's possible, and then dried out over the week or so sitting around. Still, I don't trust it after that and am not using it, so fingers crossed I like the stab wood on the new one as much, because the one I got was gorgeous.
Sounds like Howard's. I use that on my woodies.

Excuse the spam  @jandrew I was thinking of using coconut oil. Mainly as I love the smell, and it's a thicker texture. Is it just a splatter on, leave it to soak, microfiber cloth it off job?
Pretty much ... although "splatter" isn't the term I'd use ;) ... I just get a very small amount on a small folded square of paper towel and wipe it on, leave it a bit, and wipe it off with a piece of old cotton t-shirt ... repeat if it looks like areas need a bit more.

As soon as my v1 RDAs turn up it will be the first thing I do. Then I can have a true battle of a Luna vs Squeeze 2 :sneaky:

I've been playing with builds in the Luna for the past week. It's a toss up between a 5 wrap 30*2/40 clapton @ 0.5 ohms or a 6 wrap 28ga @ 0.65 ohms. I think I prefer the single coil in an unregulated, it's a cooler vape and hits faster. But the clapton coil will be perfect in TC mode on the Squeeze 2 :thumb:
Once I saw the Squeeze was AF compatible that got me thinking decent TC ...AND... squonking. :D

I don't know if you like thicker wire ... but in the v1 and others I am really liking 26/36 316L claptons at 0.5 ohms. Super smooth and mighty flavorful.

I found it :p(eventually :p) and yes it was a flub - if that is internet lingo for a :censored: up ;)
Why did you change it? It was my first and I was all happy to finally get one. Now I will need to work at it all over again. Dang it Ange!!! ;)

Holy MOLY that is gorgeous  I'm so glad you took the purple lottery and won BIGTIME :hubba:
Thank you. I decided to play the purple lottery again.

I love all the Lunas ya'll are showing off. I will jump in soon, but I want to see how I like the rebuildables first. I do like my Phobia, but I want to try a couple more that I can get local cheap first. Thanks to all you shiny peeps!

Thank you. Info saved. I appreciate it.

Thank you. I hope you get your Luna tomorrow. Can't wait to see it.

Thank you NolaMel. Do you have any Luna's? Maybe I should have asked if you squonk first.
Just one Luna, and a *few* other squonks ;).... ok, maybe a half dozen *ish*

Trust me, you'll get another accidental from me any day now ;)

I've got 316l 28/40 which I tried in the v1 & Luna, but the resistance was too high @ 0.75 ohms to get too much out of it. I love that wire in my Project X RTAs however. It's another wire that may work magic in the v1 on the Squeeze 2.

on the subject of the Hussar v1 RDAs:

    fused coil.jpg

Ignore the uneven spacing and other errors ;) Is it better to build with the legs on the inside, or outside like I have? And how low down does your coil sit? When you have time (no rush) I'd love a pic of your deck :thumb:

I have no idea what you already have. Do you have the Cthulhu 1928 ? The OG Magma RDA is hefty and a nice dual post with tight draw. My Origen Little keeps puffin' along. Idk how much money you want to spend but the Italian line of MTL RDAs is great and made well. You can still find some clones for them.
Thanks for this, @muth. But what is this Italian line of MTL RDAs of which you speak?

I don't know what line of RDAs Muth is talking about, but for a really restricted MTL, it's worth looking at Luca creations series of Speed atomisers (Speed revolution, Speed revolution 2019, Exo, Speed up and Duetto Reborn). Not very similar to Kayfuns though. But ticks the boxes for simple, durable and MTL.

The Ctulhu 1928 is still my favourite for a sturdy atomiser with a great and smooth MTL to RL draw.

Other great, small, Italian RDAs include the 900 (novecento) and the Etna.

Im not sure if you're into building small coils though, because it seems Italian RDA designers have very small fingers and great eyesight

Good morning shiners! Tracking shows slow progress. I really want my new Luna. I still have the other one out and it looks so pretty but I can't do anything with it except stare.

I have one package from a contest win here of a nexMesh subohm tank with was sent by Netherlands Post. I figured they just did overseas shipping like anyone else. Instead my package is in Amsterdam. While I'd love to be in Amsterdam on vacation, but not my package. So now to cross another ocean to get here.

For anyone still Luna stashing, the numbers on clearance is starting to dwindle so get your credit cards out now.

Received another Dvarw MTL (clone) in vape mail. They sure are flavor bangers. It's on my DB v3 and also some mystery juice that I didn't label. Turned out to be a vanilla/butterscotch. Nice

The deck is super easy to build on ... and I do mean E A S Y. :thumb: It's awesome!!!

FT has them $15.66 Coppervape Dvarw MTL Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 3.5ml / 316 stainless steel + PEI / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
And they sell all the spares <for stash> needed. FT sells AF pins to open or tighten your draw. They also sell the DL version of the atty.
Insulators would likely be the most important. Followed by extra tank sections.
$1.60 Coppervape Insulator Kit for Dvarw MTL RTA Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Spares including extra tank sections: FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics
Yup, I have the DL version but haven't built it yet as it's one of many.....maybe i'll do that one first.

Thanks. I hope you get yours soon. :D

Question for you. On your red Luna you posted in the photo of the day did you sand and polish it? It really looks super shiny and stunning. The colors pop brilliantly on yours.

Everyone sanding and polishing theirs is making me feel like a serious slouch. I need to read up and get going. Although from what @charlie1465 posted I should start with 200 and move up to 10000 grit. Charlie didn't you say you used your drill and velcro padded sanders on your Luna versus hand sanding?

I thought I saved all the info somewhere, hmmm. I'm pretty sure @Fidola13 said all this info is in the stabwoods thread too. I need to head over there...
Yes that's correct I used my drill and rotary attachment for all my sanding and then a buffing wheel for the final polish. It's much easier. Let me know and i'll send you the links for the polishing kits i purchased :)
