I love my old D2 Nitecore. Been going full steam for 3 years now. I got myself another updated Nitecore to do 21700 but after I received it I discovered I can actually squeeze a 21700 into the old D2. The new is staying in its box for another y type day.
Me too.... Exactly the same. I've got a new Xstar in its box with my, so old I've forgotten when, nitecore still going strong. It does every battery type I need and just keeps going and going :)

Touch wood :D

Morning from the uhm, EU Circus! The sun is out, briefly, as 5 days of cloud are forecast.

Some wild storms and severe flooding in parts of France, Spain and Italy these past few days. Think they missed you Charlie, Lombardy got some I believe. Haven't been around that way for decades, must return.

Have had gales and heavy rain around here too, some flooding in Wales and elsewhere.

So it's a day to get the NAS rotating and watch some old films after catching some Vit D rays.

We had rain all day yesterday, and gales today. Which imho is better than having them together. It was cold and miserable yesterday though.

I got home from that party at about 9, I know that sounds early but it was s long day for me. I spent a few hours out on the covered porch reading cards and my bones ache. It was a good excuse to leave, to go home and thaw out.

But also I wanted to get out of there because there were two 12-13 year olds who wanted a reading. The one, her parents were there, the other was with friends. I just don’t like reading for kids, especially when I can’t get their parent’s consent. They’re all the same... drama, unrequited puppy love, and fighting with siblings and parents. And then once in a while I see something really awful. I don’t know what’s worse.

Nope ......we got them unfortunately. Had a leak in our roof which was a pain. I seem to have a thing with repairing my roof when i'm ill....jeez. I'm confident it's not going to leak again though. 25 degrees and wall to wall blue sky today though although I think we're heading for a drop in temperature.

I live just over the alpes Maritime border in the Var and we have this amazing winter micro climate here so winter is mostly not so bad. Cold at night but the sun strength during the day makes up for it. It's a fantastic place to live for sun all year and mostly we are protected from the bad weather that comes from the west so very dry for the most part....I can wholly recommend it :)

Good morning Shiny's
The CS120 has left Hong Kong. Snagged a few boxes of coils for my uncle's stash at central vapors. 25% off VAPOR25, hit or miss if the free shipping is available, I got lucky.

Dumb question time: What happens if you set a charger to charge at 2A, but the battery will only take a 1A charge? Does it do any damage, does the charger automatically drop down to 1a, or do I go up in a puff of smoke?
Not a dumb question at all.

Good morning shiners! All that nasty weather made it up to my area. Nothing planned for the day except polishing off the second season of Mindhunter, which I really, really, recommend. Amazing series by David Fincher, and if they don't do a third season I'm dumping Netflix.

@jandrew

If you like mysteries Britbox has some of the older ones and most of the newer ones, Midsomer murders, Vera, Morse, vintage Sherlock... I’m familiar with maybe 25% of them.

Loads of comedy like Keeping up appearances, Dirk Gently, and if you’ve never heard of Psychoville I highly recommend it.

Vintage Dr Who, some Agatha Christie... I would say roughly as much content as Acorn, a bit of cross over, but plenty I haven’t seen yet, plus stuff I’d like to see again. Oddly a lot of Christmas content already.

I and the wife enjoy several of those shows. Keeping up Appearances just makes me slap my forehead.

I thought the first season of Castle Rock was pretty dull, @TrollDragon. I watched the whole thing, even so, partly because I liked where it was filmed and partly because I am generally doomed to finish anything I start. There is one great episode that focuses on Sissy Spacek's character, though.

It's a big, not very difficult Easter egg hunt, full of references to Stephen King's books, almost to the point of being annoying, but isn't based on any one of them, so at least you wouldn't have to be irked by its infidelity to an original if you watched it.
Thanks, I might just give it a watch and see. Castle Rock is a great setting from his books, not a good as Derry mind you (I could live in Derry) but still great. ;)
