Granville Island has the best pastries! And it's such a sweets-paradise there!
Really anything... we did get some sweets, but also some savory focaccias of different flavors, fresh fruit, cheese, spicy horseradish pickles, and some charcuterie. I had a lovely almond paste stuffed croissant for breakfast. There are a couple artisans I hope we get to go back to today, but we’ll see. Himself wants to go to the Gastown/ Chinatown areas again this trip.

Back on topic......
I’m just being a lazy slug, sitting here drinking coffee and vaping. So far so good, this is a big room and the smoke detector is waaaaay on the other side (fingers crossed so I don’t jinx myself lol). I looked up the websites of a couple vape shops near here out of interest.... gear is older models and super expensive (like over $100 for an Aegis 100). I was going to pop in one and browse, but guess not.

Good afternoon everyone ... (and all? YES) :D

I hope you are having a wonderful day doing whatever it is you are doing.

@NolaMel thanks for that!!! You have a way with words. It was most appreciated. I hope you two have a blast in Vancouver. Oh yeah, so you're saying you are getting one of those cars to matchy match your Dani?

Not much going on here today just a nice relaxing day. But I am making a list of flavors I want to stock-up on so I can place one mega order. My motto with these questionable times ... be very prepared.
They’re lovely, but with my back I’d get in and never get out . We just don’t see them in NOLA, they’re too ground huggy for the potholes and flooding. My neighbor has a porche gt something... I bet he hasn’t put 50 miles on it in town in 3 years. Has the darn thing shipped to Houston to drive there when he’s there on business .

Now, another dani is still on the want/need/lust list. Definitely think I’ll get a color this time. Waffling between another mini and a 21700. I bought the charger (it really is magic), so a second dani is needed to justify spending for the charger ( poor logic I know, but I have convinced myself that is a solid reason )

Congrats on your 1 year anniversary. :rickroll:

The DB rocks!!! Just don't drop it on your foot cause it will likely break a bone. ;)
Thank you!
I got the DB because I think I read it last’s a long time. Add that to a new Provari and 6 picos. Have many that have questionable life spans....

Thanks, I might just give it a watch and see. Castle Rock is a great setting from his books, not a good as Derry mind you (I could live in Derry) but still great. ;)
Since Derry is based on Bangor, I kind of did live there.

The Paul Bunyan statue is pretty terrifying.

P.S. Stephen King and I lived in the same district. Used to see him on election day. He towered over most of us.

Not sure if it’s in your wheelhouse but Justified is one of my favorite TV shows. Six seasons, I think, and Raylan Givens (star character) is easy on the eyes.
Pretty sure the star was Timothy Olyphant.

I finished Grey's Anatomy! I need it now more than ever but I REFUSE to start over.

I need a good show that like has millions of seasons. I don't like superheroes. I did not grow up here and the closest thing I had was a Princess Lea figurine and honestly, I never thought she was that great, dude.

I have seen the old Batman shows on TV and for some reason they make me wish to die. Even back THEN they were just so AWFUL.

The husband likes superhero movies and like, Kung Fu and etc,. movies.

I do not like movies much at all. Two hours is NOWHERE near enough for me to commit frankly. I usually spend the movie picking apart all the plot and continuity holes, and people want to punch me. They usually express that.

Thankfully I don't think there is a movie theater here. I'm not going looking let me put it that way. ONE HOUR TIL POLICY PROCEDURE AND STATUES.

So not looking forward to that. Sigh. OMG.

Anna
You could watch All Saints on Hulu. Twelve long seasons. And consistent with your doctor theme.

Hey, that was my reasoning.

I love some of the shows on the paramount network the channel that used to be spike. But dam the commercial breaks are brutal 6 minutes long and the same one each time over and over. Just advertising their own shows with the same exact scenes I can recite by heart now. Only watch it now if it’s pvr’d. Cops keeps showing the same commercial about some skinny car thief named nick being caught lying about stealing a truck. Then bar rescue is the same one about some woman not
Washing her hands and getting chicken fingers all over EVERYTHING! Then ink master and the stupid lip sync battle same thing.

Why can’t they make new commercials on a network called the paramount network! I’m sure the even the people in the commercials want to shoot themselves by now.

Then I see some show called 911. Looks so dumb and I can’t belive anyone could take it serious. Some shark getting loose on the highway ? What the hell.

And I initially thought that WAS your guys rental for your trip. I figured Himself went small knowing you would be shopping and there is only SO much room in a car like that for the goods. Haha
I don't see cars like that around here. And while it would be fun to drive (on a track + wide open) it would be too difficult to get in/out with my back too (L5-S1 argh).

I've been waffling on a Dani for a long time but I always come back to thinking about all the other stuff I could buy for its cost. Stuff I likely don't need. Hmmm, except more flavors cause now I am a wee bit concerned the rug may get pulled on DIY at some point. My stock is healthy but as with nic, more is better.

Hey wait, I caught that, you said you'll get a color Dani this time. So your current one is colorless??? ;)
Photo please ... I want to see your colorless Dani as I will buy one (not a stripped one but colorless). Haha
