Hey all I want to get the brass vert unicorn mod from Mdx mods on Arkansas e liquid. I see a knurled brass gold stack piece for sale for a good price. I know it doesn’t match but anyone know if it would work with this mod?

3-1 Gold Knurled MDX Stack Piece
The 3-1 takes 18650 and 2_700. The regular MDX is 18650 only. Each has it's own stack piece.

I'm amazed you can write coherently with a temp of 104, @charlie1465. Very impressive. The one time I ran a fever that time, I told my sister, when she asked how I was, that I'd be all right once the h-eroin stopped dripping from my pores. There was also something about a dog.

Digits crossed that your immune system wakes up and kicks out the bad bugs forthwith.
Lol....I hadn't thought of that and I suppose I should be more confused. I've always had a strong constitution so maybe it's that :)

I was 40 again this morning but I have ice and paracetamol so it probably dropped.....

Anyway, long may the coherence continue:p

The CM4 has a slot for fatbutt wire. But to be fair - once you get the hang of winding a coil, you don't need the slot/gap/hole. Most times I just hold the wire with my thumb, and wrap it round the rod with the other hand.

It all becomes second nature, and it does not take many coils to get there

yeah i started reconsidering cm after i played with som of the premades, spacing some, reducing and increasing wraps , and realized what winding is.
so i don't really need the whole gear and the way the alternative simple jig is used is essentially what i'll be doing with the CM?

In all reality you probably won't be using quad core wires. I say this because I've made and used many Many MANY kinds of wire. They look good BUT they don't function any better than a small gauge wire core fused clapton or alien. That's obviously just my educated opinion. I have my own design Killer coils that noone else makes so I'm a bit biased but I only got there from alot of time and money spent on many different kinds of coils. Take it for what it's worth.

i;m finding it hard to remember reading any post of yours that wasn;t just a little bit offensive.

don't know if you mean i won't be building quadcores [i don't intend on building anything from scratch] or i won't be using the wire i ordered
$10.32 Authentic Wotofo N80 Quad Core Fused Clapton Heating Wire - 28*4/36 AWG / 0.32*4/0.12mm dia. / 20ft at FastTech - Free Shipping :( as they're the only low resistacne i've ordered

i still haven't got the chance to try an alien, but out of staple, tricore, jugger, nurmal fused and braided nothing's felt right in comparison to the first quadcore Ang made me get. might be a quality discrepancy with some but over all, yea.
i do hope you're right though, that there are other satisfying vapes ou there

    There sure is!

    29g Kanthal...SINGLE wire

    8 wraps

    2.0mm

    Japanese cotton

Kayfun Lite [2019] (Steam Tuners top fill kit optional)

    1.5~ ohms

    Fired @ 10 watts

    Provape Radius

(Boost set to 4 or 5 based on flavor of juice)

INFZN juice 36mg Nic Salt (they make many flavors for Phix pods, or IS Phix under a different label)

    Your mileage may vary!

P.S. Of course, I also like my 0.5ohm builds on my Authentic Exocet in my Authentic DNA60 Billet Box...with a two wire twisted, 28g Kanthal, 2.8mm, 6 wrap, ... cotton, fired at 25-30watt, 3mg juice.

I know a lot of you guys have been DIY juice mixers for years. It's really only been a few months since I got serious and it's been a major positive for me. Loving the mixing, loving the experimentation, loving making blends for a couple of friends.
Still lots to learn but I'm saving heaps of money and don't feel bad when I go on vaping binges.

The 3-1 takes 18650 and 2_700. The regular MDX is 18650 only. Each has it's own stack piece.

That stack doesn’t fit my regular MDXs though. You can put an adapter in the Vert , and the stack screws onto it.

Is there some reason that shouldn’t be done? I haven’t used any of the stacks yet, I have a couple different ones for different mods, but I’m awaiting new batteries.

And you never have to worry about running out, and hoping your order gets there in time!

I originally used a Kuro coiler and it was fine to some extent though it actually makes it harder for me to make a coil. For some reason when I'm using the coiler (which is the same style as all the rest of these with a little hole you put the wire through and then you twist) I have a difficult time with clockwise vs. Counterclockwise now I know what those two terms mean I know which direction they go but I have like a spatial reasoning issue with which way to wrap it and I find that the legs gets screwed up and that it's harder to judge how much wire I need for a certain wrap of course that's down to experience I'm sure. I get really frustrated with the coiler sometimes and I just end up wrapping the wire around whatever is available. There is something very nice about just the simple jig the one with the different steps of size. I find myself using that way more than I use anything else I also have a good stash of pre-made coils but I again I'm having trouble with the whole clockwise vs. Counterclockwise thing and it seems like most coils are made the way that I don't need them...
