Good morning shinies

Last night I decided to restock my VG as it was getting low. I'm a member of a wholesale french supplier website so my VG cost me 5.23€ per litre....good eh :D

While I was there realised that I needed a bit of a flavour restock....ended up spending around 250€ for 25 different Capella flavours. The wholesale site does 10ml for 1.70€ approx but you have to place an order for 5 of each flavour minimum so it mounted up :D

Wait I hadn't quite finished. Realised that I may as well get some isopropyl alcohol to make my own hand sanitizer so flipped across to Amazon and ordered that and whilst looking for that I came across a cbd oil based pain relief cream which I bought for my wife's neck pain which I hope will work as there were lots of glowing testimonials saying how surprised people were that it gave so much relief.....if I could cure my wife's neck pain that would be the best present I could have in..... forever

Looking forward to trying some new fruity juice recipe's when it all comes....have an excellent Friday guys. Hey it's the weekend  :D

This whole thing with Mayor Goodman is becoming a meme bonanza.

I'm not sure what's happening over there but it seems as usual between the president and the local governor's there is as usual some bonkers stuff happening.....I assume that this is about reversing the lockdown?? From what I see on the news it seems way to early but I suppose states that don't have much infection can as long as the people don't have the legal right to travel into areas that do :)

Hope you're doing okay Skunk...have a great weekend :)

I posted the video earlier in this thread. The interview with her and Anderson Cooper went viral big time. The issue is not her wanting to reopen it has more to do with her wanting to open with no plan in place and no protections. When asked how she planned to protect guests and workers, she replied "It's not my job" it's the job of the hotels to make sure they're safe. Then she proceeded to say that the citizens of Las Vegas could be a control group?? That's where all the outrage is coming from. People here take it as she's fine with many of us and guests being used as lab rats and dying for profits.

Thing is, Las Vegas gets about 50 million visitors a year. Other places that open up don't have the potential to have such a widespread impact as we do. All those visotors potentially infecting workers and vice versa. Then people returning home and spreading it in their communities. That's if anybody comes at all. Before the shutdown we were at 11% occupancy. Ecinomically, if they were to open and nobody came that would be more damaging than the current situation. The people who work down there are all on unemployment with a boost from the fed. The businesses down there are all mega corporations so this isn't about the small businesses. If they rush into it and people get sick then people will not feel safe coming here. That could destroy our economy.
We have low numbers here considering how it could have been. If they didn't shut it down when they did, I fear what the situation would be here. It could have been tragic considering the amount of people from all over the world who come here. We dodged a bullet big time we shouldn't tempt fate right now.
I am not against opening up some places in the neighborhoods. I think as long as everybody is careful, risk should be low. The governor and Gaming Comission are working on a 4 step plan to open but it isn't quite time yet. I think they should open the National and State Parks now. I don't understand the logic of closing the places people go to get away from people.
As for me I'm doin good. I got some cabin fever but enjoying hanging out with the family. Bills are paid and plenty food. Thanks. Hope you're doing well too.

EDIT: The meme with the swords mentions Boomers Milennials and Zoomers. Generation X forgotten about again:mad::lol:

Well yes I agree if it's done sensibly then it could be a positive move but as usual (sorry to have to say) it sounds really off the wall.

Here in France we have been told that we will end the lockdown on May 11th but with very strict rules and social distancing to be put in place. They are stressing that life will not go back to normal for a very long time but it's true that countries can't go on economically for ever without somebody working a bit at least. My guess is that our lives here won't be the same until a vaccine or anti-viral is developed.

Whatever happens with the US I sincerely hope you and your family stay safe....take care buddy :)

Yeah I need to rebuild the axial today myself... I put a simple round build in it that is just swimming in there...

I spent days looking for the open spool of lower ohming Ni80 Clapton wire I bought thinking I now have space for a large enough build to use it, only to find I gave that open spool to my son...(he complains I always give him what I don't like.. lol. Which might be true in the strictest sense, it just so happens what I don't like, he actually does enjoy.. lol)

So now that I know what happened to the open spool I can open the spool I have.. lol..

why oh why does it take days to figure these things out? lol

You are over thinking it, just play around with different types of wire and coil styles. Don't concentrate on your ideal wattage so much, shoot for an ideal coil that satisfies your wants.

    giphy.gif

    NO YOU;RE OVER THINKING THIS!

ok. serious. all ive noticed is the stadard: the wider the better and reasonable ramp up. straight up dual fused and even those thinnish tricore that come with blank i really don't like, often firing too longg, too often or raising the power until they dry or burn as i feel the vape jusr isnt right, full, saturated, warm whatever enough.

wondered of all the praise of flats, if all those builds and the effect on heat and ramp up could be much ado abt nothing
    ..

huh i guess an important question to flatters is if you're saying theyre great as opposed to singe round or even toe to toe with decent builds..

Tri, Quad core and Flat are my main all purpose wire. Those are good for a wide range of power.I like the hex for big single coil builds. It doesn't really work so well for duals. The hex is great in the Axial because it is designed as a dual so it has enough AF for the coil. Many attys don't.

    hmm verstehe verstehe
so sexcore be axial but maybe not blank and reload s...

    that'd be a good waste of a 20euro spool...

    Happy Friday shiners!

Thank you for your update on the day, as some of us are no longer able to keep track..

On Wednesday you said "hump day!" and we all went "wow... Wednesday already, wasnt it just Sunday?" now on Friday you say "Happy Friday!" and we all say "wow, how did we get from Wednesday to Friday so fast?!"

    Haha... Happy Friday to you!

I’m in a lockdown state, but while we have ‘travel advisory’ that’s just a recommendation not to go anywhere if you don’t have to. No law against other states coming here.

Add to that we have a high percentage of non-believers, and almost nobody wears a mask. I’ve seen 5 people total wearing them. Tbh I haven’t worn one yet either because I still don’t have the stuff I need to make them. All the do-gooders wanting to donate 100s of masks have completely depleted fabric and elastic- and I do appreciate their efforts, but it’s harder to get supplies than toilet paper.

What really surprised me is, I can still order almost anything from almost anywhere else. Surely, people in other countries stocked up too, surely their shelves were bare, no? So how come the states still can’t supply for our own people, when other countries seem to have plenty of everything to go around?

With you 100%. If we had clear instructions on how to avoid spreading it, and if people were compliant, we could open.

We have, I think, made this far less tragic than it might have been by staying home. And I do understand that folks need to work, businesses need to get going, but I don’t feel any amount of money is worth large death tolls.

I just hope they come up with a vaccine soon.
