Hey y'all, I'm very happy to report my latest FT package, shipped via the $3.24 USPS expedited service option, arrived today.

12 days!!! ------> Amused and amazed, I.

It was a different kind of FT label too. No indication what was inside, zero contents listing (no filter or faucet).

The label does have a DHL number + a USPS tracking # AND the shipper is FBM out of Bell CA 90201.

So the option for $3.24 USPS expedited service is faster.

ETA: ---> BEFORE you consider using this service please read JCinFLA's post below!!!

Thanks for the tip! Maybe I'll place that order after all.

Quite a few Chinese vendors who ship via DHL use either a middleman/woman or forwarding company here in the US. Boxes or air freight containers full of multiple people's orders arrive in LA or SF, addressed to that person or company. That's why a regular FT label claiming bogus items are inside the package isn't necessary. They claim the boxes or containers after they go through Customs, attach another label on each package (sometimes over the original label), and send it on through the USPS system. The additional money you paid...is what that person/company gets paid for performing that service.

Only reason I know the above, is because 1 of the vendors told me about it not long ago in an email...when I questioned how 1 of my packages had made it to LA, wasn't held up by US Customs, but suddenly went "poof". Any/all tracking had ended when it reached LA. They blamed it on most likely an incorrect shipping label attached to my package by the forwarding company, and they refunded me. (I think the person or company just stole my items!) I wasn't a happy camper at all, because I wanted my items instead!

Aha! But mine does not sit. Mine went from "out for delivery" to back "in transit." Where is it going??? It was right here, by my house, just yesterday!!!
The delivery person is probably taking a scenic trip around SoCal with a detour to the Red Marlin for dinner down in Mission Bay SD. That's what I would do. ;)

The fastest shipping, with no delays, that I've experienced during the pandemic has been DHL and FedEx. After reading JC's post it's back to DHL for me. Unlike USPS they get the job done super fast. Never had any package lost with either. :D

Forgot this above - When you pay a much higher shipping cost, for a package to be sent via DHL from China or elsewhere overseas...they are the only carrier of your package. I've had them deliver items I've ordered from China and from the UK...directly to my door in 1 of their schoolbus yellow vans before. Those don't get handled by any middleman/woman or forwarding company.

This is my tracking number (still in the system) from November 11, 2019. Not DHL--regular epacket that went poof. Cleared customs. Pre-epidemic. Still in transit. Just checked.

So you should probably get it any day now, right?

@Katya - About this: "Aha! But mine does not sit. Mine went from "out for delivery" to back "in transit." Where is it going??? It was right here, by my house, just yesterday!!!"

I had the same thing happen with a package about a month ago. I called the PO early the next morning (after Out for Delivery had shown on Tracking the day before) and was told the driver said he couldn't find the address, so he brought it back to the PO. Huh? My house number is on my mailbox post and in big numbers ON the front of the house! I got the package the next day.

Did you get your $3.24 USPS expedited FT package yet?
I had one that I ordered with the expedited that was shipped on the 24th. So maybe I will get it. I had two other orders that I just did regular free shipping. One was shipped yesterday, and the other one is still pending because it is waiting on one item.

Yours shows the same type of thing mine did, except mine didn't have (USPS) further up, by the date and time, nor where yours does below. There was nothing there to indicate a carrier or company on mine.

I hope you're planning to file with PP for a refund or dispute the charge for what you paid by CC. Although I'm not sure if there's a time limit to do either of those.

Have you contacted the USPS about it? I know they have a minimum time limit, as far as how long you have to wait, before filing a missing mail report. But I don't know what the maximum time limit is that you can wait before filing one. Eight months past date of shipment may be too long though.

I know that thousands of items that couldn't be delivered or just weren't delivered, for various reasons...used to be routinely sold off by the USPS after a certain period of "holding" time, especially if no missing mail report had been made. They used to have literally hundreds of auctions for those items on eBay years ago. I bought a whole bunch of brand new stuff from them, usually in lots containing multiples of the same items or similar ones. They sold jewelry, sporting goods, software, hardware items, clothing, tote bags & purses, electronics, etc. They also had live auctions in Atlanta and several other major cities. They may even still have the live auctions. I haven't checked for a long time. Their main shipping center for the eBay auctions items...was their huge hub in Topeka, Kansas.

I'm an ocd rewicker - as soon as there's a lil bit of carbon? I rewick  Which is a major reason I prefer bf RDAs and squonking - stuff, cut, squonk ;)

However, now that I'm squonking in the morning and using RTAs in the afternoon, I'm actually rewicking a lot less. It's possibly due to the RTAs I'm using.

I've had my Juggerknot mini for over five days now, and I went to rewick it yesterday - thinking it would be black (I have been chainvaping the hell out of it). But it was still really clean. @Letitia and Mr @Fredman1 is it a cleaner RTA than others?

The Tripod RTA I've rewicked a few times to try out different things. But it also seems to have cleaner wicks than it should. I wicked it today slightly looser in the coil - OMG  It just went up another flavour notch. And it was more airy with a loose coil. WIN WIN :D

Any of you have cleaner wick RTAs than others?

Dvarw, KFL19, Prime, Pocket, X and you already mentioned the Tripod.

In the RDA: rewicked my Creek's today after almost three weeks. Should have taken a photo. The wicks were pretty darn clean.

Have you tried rayon in your Tripod yet??? Rayon boosts the flavor another notch. ;)

I did try rayon. But I found the whole having to thin the tails, and getting it really tight in the coil, plus then the priming it to get rid of the taste - meant it took me 15-20 minutes to rewick instead of 5 or 10 with cotton. I may try it again one day, but for now I'm a happy ocd cottonati
