I've had my Juggerknot mini for over five days now, and I went to rewick it yesterday - thinking it would be black (I have been chainvaping the hell out of it). But it was still really clean. @Letitia and Mr @Fredman1 is it a cleaner rta than others?
To be truelly honest Ma'am...from memory I can't say i've noticed that....but I haven't been using it full time for a while now.

Since I got myself a new cabinet I thought an Updated Asmodus Family Photo was in order:wub:

And all the mods that didn't fit stayed sitting pretty in the old cabinet:p

I'm an ocd rewicker - as soon as there's a lil bit of carbon? I rewick  Which is a major reason I prefer bf RDAs and squonking - stuff, cut, squonk ;)

However, now that I'm squonking in the morning and using RTAs in the afternoon, I'm actually rewicking a lot less. It's possibly due to the RTAs I'm using.

I've had my Juggerknot mini for over five days now, and I went to rewick it yesterday - thinking it would be black (I have been chainvaping the hell out of it). But it was still really clean. @Letitia and Mr @Fredman1 is it a cleaner rta than others?

The Tripod RTA I've rewicked a few times to try out different things. But it also seems to have cleaner wicks than it should. I wicked it today slightly looser in the coil - OMG  It just went up another flavour notch. And it was more airy with a loose coil. WIN WIN :D

Any of you have cleaner wick RTAs than others?
I don't notice much if any change Ange from other rtas. Most of the time since starting diy I need a dry burn before I need a new wick. Since I seldom use sweet juices I've gotten into the habit of dry burn/ wick every other week needed or not.

    Good morning Shiny's
Loves and likes to all. Had a chat with Col, he sends hellos to all.

Plus the tails of the wick can't be too long or too short. Or too thick or too thin. It's like a Goldilocks situation.

And then I saw that if you use rayon, you want it thicker because it shrinks down or something. My brain hurts.

When it comes to your preferred wick (and we all have one) your going to want to try them all. That's what I did.

I purchased three different kinds of cotton and had another given me, and a small amount of rayon to try..

For a while i found I was absolutely stuck on Japanese organic cotton for RTA's, and Native wick platinum blend (cotton) for RDA's... then I picked up what puts all to shame - Fuzion cotton, and I love that in both RTA's and RDA's equally. It's just the perfect vaping cotton all the way around. (I hated rayon, and cotton bacon)

You'll like to do the same experiment. People here can send you samples of what they use, so you can make your own choice of your own favorite wicking material. Some people like cotton bacon, yet I couldn't give that stuff away fast enough.. lol. others are so stuck on rayon it's unreal (have no idea about some people.. lol)

So just try everything, find your favorite wick... once you find the wick you feel delivers fine flavor for you and is easy to work with in your RTA's, (or RDA's if you will) you'll know it well enough to work with it.

For me, I had some failures when I first built... some fairly serious ones. I tried twice to build a Kayfun 2, and it was dumping juice out of the airflow holes as fast as I could put it in, and I checked and everything seemed right.

After two such occasions I gave up, put it aside for 3 or 4 months then when I picked up a Kayfun 4, I decided I wasn't going to stop until I learned. The Kayfun 2 was an inexpensive clone, whereas the 4 was authentic so I was being hopeful the error wasn't with me...

So, in comes the most difficult RTA man ever created, the Kayfun 4... and with sheer determination I finally got that thing down pat... I learned how to build. (Yea!)

Because I learned how to build and wick on the most difficult RTA, there's nothing that's difficult for me now. Pretty much everything is easy.

I will say when I say something is easy, I usually mean beginner easy. The Gear is the perfect beginner RTA to learn how to build on, so is the Siren v.2 or any RTA with a suspended deck (RDTA)...

What your looking for is something that has a roomy enough deck, that's virtually leak-proof.

Once you have the easier RTA's down you can branch out. OR, you can choose a difficult one... then all else that comes after will be a breeze. Up to you.

It can be very easy to learn, often some people get it bang on their first try... others, get it after two or three. But don't sweat it... Buy something like the gear to start, I absolutely consider that an easy beginner RTA...

Something like the Coppervape Hussar project x clone i have I would perhaps consider intermediate, but only because some people seem to have problems with it, although atm I can't figure out what anyone finds difficult about it. I've never read anyone have issues building the gear and for me it's just a pleasure...

So is wicking your coil in an RTA as big of a PITA as it sounds. It seems like everyone has all these different methods and you have to do it just right otherwise it doesn't work well. It seems like it is a bit complicated.
Red it's not hard, just need practice to prefect.the main thing to it is

Well I have purchased several RTAs like the Ares 2 and Hellvape MD. I am going to try one of those first. The Gear probably would not be something I would purchase, just due to my vaping preference.

The Ares 2 should be easy for you.. Innokin is big on things that are simple, and the 2 fixes any design flaws the first one had..

I don't know much about the other, but I've been planning on an Ares purchase myself, and I doubt you'll have a difficult time building it.

Watch a couple of Busardo build videos with it, that should be your best bet and you know he's got one with it.

You've got this. If you want me to send you a couple different types of wicking material send me a PM and I'll get something in the mail to you if your in the U.S.

I can send you some Fuzion cotton, some native wick premium and some JOC.. someone else can shoot you some rayon to try.

you are what you want to be never more.
That should be on a motivational poster. BTW, I am really not that pessimistic, I was just poking a little fun at myself. However, working with my hands has never been one of my strengths.

If it helps, I am the least mechanically adept individual on the face of the earth, and if I can do it, you can too!

Send me your info and I'll mail you some Tidi rayon. It is medical grade with near zero break-in time. I used to use Sally's but gave it away after trying and being sold on the Tidi.

And for cotton I will send you some of Cottonman's Mavaton's X, regular Mavaton's Select and Carolina blend.

I've been using Cottonman's cotton for years. IMO it blows away every other cotton out there. Cottonman is a real cotton farmer down in Edenton, NC. It's organic and simply the cleanest cotton I have ever used and I've pretty much tried them all.

His cotton, like the Tidi rayon, lasts me ~2 weeks (flavored DIY) and ~1 month (flavorless).

I also have an unopened bag of Native Wicks (got for free) that I will send. I have zero interest in it.

Opinionated is spot-on, some folks like XYZ brand of cotton while others think it's not so good. Some can't stand rayon while others swear by it.

Guess you could call me a hybrid in that I use both cotton and rayon equally in RTA's and RDA's. Both work very well for me. I have no preference one way or the other.

My Vandy Vape Kensei RTA has arrived. It hits really hard, especially with this Cider Apple eliquid.

Apple cider sounds pretty tasty. I have never had that flavor of eliquid before, but I love the real thing.

It might not be hard for you. But there is one thing you need to understand. I am a very dumb person.
Oh yeah... betcha I'm dumber!!! I know I am not the brightest bulb nor the sharpest knife.

And I forgot to mention last night that I ran into a parked car with my bike as a kid. I obviously was not paying attention. The car won, didn't budge. I ended up on it's trunk, bruised and battered.
