If you aren't worried about any of that, then go for the older v2 style you linked to

With this build it strikes me as a little thirsty. Flavor is ok. Probably a little better with a different build?? I think this is a Ni 3mm. It’s a nice smooth draw though. No turbulence or noise. Playing with the af now. It has possibilities if I can get it’s juice consumption down. At 17 w I shouldn’t be emptying a tank this quick

I'm running a 3mm id baby flat wire coil, which is the equivalent of 26ga. Wattage is around 20-25 watts. And yes it's thirsty, but not noticeably bad. Flavour is fantastic, however. I have my coil height just a smidge higher than Daniel does in his review:

I don't know what a lot of these things mean. My knowledge of different parts of an RTA is limited at best. Are these things important? Because it sounds like there is a big difference. Is this FL version basically an update and newer version of the V2?

The Gear has been built! I was excited to see the rainbow I ordered (because everything else was oos), was stainless when I opened the box!! Threw a .6 spaced coil in, checked for hot spots, quickly wicked.... and POOF! wick up in flames  :lol:
Managed to not catch the whole bathroom on fire at least. Well, it’s up and running. I’ll make a decision on it later.

Looks right at home on your pretty blue Dani. Nice matchy match DT too. Are you running the AF like that on the Gear? Or did it just turn out like that for the photo?

I wonder if it would guzzle less with a 2.5mm ID coil??? IDK, jus thinking out loud. The Project X nor the Tripod (both in your airness IIRC) do not guzzle juice at that power. :)

I figured as long as it is shipped out by the September deadline, everything would be fine.

I believe it actually needs to be fully through customs by then or you run the risk of customs refusing entry...

The only difference between the OG Dvarw MTL and the v2 are the sizes of the juice flow holes on the chimney sections.

    ..............v2 Dvarw chimney..................................OG chimney
    ovalvsstock.jpg

I have both chimney types for the OG's and clones. I prefer the oval juice flow holes over the circular. IMO they offer better JF and wicking. The newer FL's all have the oval JF holes. KHW Mods recently added the PEEK round hole chimney in their online store for the MTL FL's. The OG DL always had the oval JF holes. :D

You think they are going to open every package from Fasttech to see if there is vape gear inside? That isn't a sarcastic question btw, I actually am curious.

It depends on how hard the crack down is, for real.

It's a help that Fasttech doesn't declare gear as being vape related, but with our issues with China being what they are atm coupled with new laws in place here, they may inspect more packages than usual for a while.

Earlier I trimmed my FT cart down to only "needs". Not surprisingly, my cart ended up empty.

I'm sticking to my original plan which was scooping up spare parts for RBA's I already have. Got an order coming from KHW (Dvarw's), another from Atmizoo (Creek and Tripod) and one with SvM Kayfun parts. :)

Truth be told customs does not have anywhere near enough agents to inspect each of the millions of packages coming into US ports (east or west coasts). Packages will get through BUT there is the risk that yours, or mine, will be the one to be inspected and yanked.

I get that there is a chance. But I imagine a lot of the stuff the see, they wouldn't know what it is or that it is vaping related. Things like spare tanks and drip tips, I doubt they would immediately recognize their use. For things like mods, or complete kits, then yeah.

With the sheer number of products I think customs has no clue what is what when it comes to vaping gear. They would need dedicated "educated" agents for vaping gear alone (mods, kits, RBA's). I don't see that happening.

There are millions of different products coming into the US every single day. There is no way some overworked agent, on the line, in NYC or SF (or ???) knows every single product that is ok to pass through versus what is not ok.

US customs has always been about the large $$$ busts. Like large scale shipments of counterfeit Nike's or other US company products. And drugs. Many counterfeit products and drugs still make it through, daily.

    Here:
JFK is America's largest mail room. Here's how customs searches 1 million mail packages a day for drugs and counterfeit goods.

Despite hiring changes, Customs and Border Protection still understaffed | Federal News Network
