It depends on how hard the crack down is, for real.

It's a help that fasttech doesn't declare gear as being vape related, but with our issues with China being what they are atm coupled with new laws in place here, they may inspect more packages than usual for a while.

I think China sites will make a killing, I've never had a package opened by customs in over 7 years ordering from there, any of them packages could be carrying illegal products, so expect some to be opened, but none of mine. But then are we going to risk our money though? But word gets out stuff still getting through, lots more will order, till they do really crack down on it, or that's what I think :)

I don't know what a lot of these things mean. My knowledge of different parts of an RTA is limited at best. Are these things important? Because it sounds like there is a big difference. Is this FL version basically an update and newer version of the V2?
@Redbird11 the best way to find out about how all the parts of an RTA work is probably to watch lots of youtube reviews by guys like DJLsb Vapes, Todds Reviews, pbusardo and even Mike Vapes and SMM. If you go back a couple of years before pods became dominant you'll find more RTA reviews. It's all pretty simple and the basic principles are much the same across devices.

I've had several Chinese packages opened and searched. Not many all things considered, but enough to consider it a problem if they end up in crack down mode.

Looks right at home on your pretty blue Dani. Nice matchy match DT too. Are you running the AF like that on the Gear? Or did it just turn out like that for the photo?

I wonder if it would guzzle less with a 2.5mm ID coil??? IDK, jus thinking out loud. The Project X nor the Tripod (both in your airness IIRC) do not guzzle juice at that power. :)
I had it about 1/3 open when I was vaping. Picture was taken right after I put it on the mod. Seems like after reassembly on some tanks I get wide open/all shut from fiddling. Inner chamber threads were a little sticky first go round. I’m going to try a 2.5 and rayon and see if that changes the juice slurp. Or, it may just be I’m used to bigger capacities and it just seems thirstier. Tripod is nice, I never use it because to me it’s fiddly to take apart/get back together. Haven’t tried the Project X. Are they still around?

Cancel that SOS  Juat saw the $$$. I’m not ordering anything else from China, so no clones to be bought :(

    Here's a rough translation, with a rough sketch ;)
    mtlFL.jpg

    1. Mech safe 510 insulator
Updated for use on Hybrid type mech mods

    2. Shorter than V2
Less height, especially for the 5ml/6ml version

    3. PEEK chimney
v2 has a SS chimney/chamber. Peek will minimise any possible shorts by coil legs being too long

    4. Offset posts
    5. Improved coil leg clamps. Ridge on the edge.
Easier to install coils - especially fused claptons and flat wire

    6. 22mm glass tank section (available separately)
v2 tanks were PC/PEI/Acrylic, some ejuices (citruses) crack those types of tanks

    7. Largest optional airhole is 2x2mm (=2,83mm) (available separately)
v2's largest MTL airflow hole was 2.5mm id. Plus previous versions only had single hole airflow inserts, now 2 hole and 3 hole inserts are available.

    8. Easier bottom fill (fewer turns of the tank section)

    11. Fixed position chimney

    14. Shorter chimney, smaller chamber (= better flavour)
1.5mm shaved off height of the original.

    15. Airflow is optimized
    = Smoother ;)

Klaus (a MTL connoisseur) covers the differences in much better detail in his video:

I didn't even bother trying the gear bubbleless. Will your Dani get grumpy with me if I suggest bubbles? ;)

    goodbye
With this build it strikes me as a little thirsty. Flavor is ok. Probably a little better with a different build?? I think this is a Ni 3mm. It’s a nice smooth draw though. No turbulence or noise. Playing with the af now. It has possibilities if I can get it’s juice consumption down. At 17 w I shouldn’t be emptying a tank this quick

How many wraps and what kind of wire? Those are 5 wrap, but I take a wrap off and they are really good at 30 to 35 watts. I haven't noticed an abnormal amount of juice consumption with these. Are you using the straight glass or bubble glass? Standard glass is only 2.3ml.

I get that there is a chance. But I imagine a lot of the stuff the see, they wouldn't know what it is or that it is vaping related. Things like spare tanks and drip tips, I doubt they would immediately recognize their use. For things like mods, or complete kits, then yeah.

My suggestion? Include at least one of these in each FT order:
    hehehe.jpg

Give them something to REALLY talk about
