I have no idea what to get my wife for Mother’s Day. I do know not to get her a vacuum or anything to do with cooking. If I bought her pans I might get one upside my head.

See I keep pans and well, anything for cooking on my running, get me list. Domed silicone molds, a new roaster, candy thermometer etc etc are always a win with me, even for my anniversary.

Call me practical, but that kind of stuff is my idea of a perfect gift. One year I got a meat grinder... I was totally thrilled. :) and this year, nothing says I love you like all clad... hahaha

Don't do that to me. I almost had a panic attack.
I did forget the UK mum's day this year as France has a different day....jeez I was pacing up and down, tried Interflora online, phoned nearly every shop local to my Mum and begged as they were all fully booked but no dice....got them there for Monday....had to own up :lol:

I just figured Mother's Day was the same day in every country. I hope your mom was forgiving.

I'm sure she was. She would've been happy to receive the flowers on France's mother's day. Moms are like that.

You probably enjoy cooking. My wife thinks it’s a necessary evil even though she’s pretty good at it.

I don't know if I enjoy cooking, but I don't mind it...but ug not in this apartment, the kitchen is entirely too tiny to be cooking in...all the counter space is being used by the dishwasher (one counter), air fryer/oven/toaster/rotissary/all-in-one-thing-a-majig (another counter), coffee maker and microwave and leaving a tiny spot where my toaster is (which I'm about to store away and put my ninja blender back out)(the last counter) I had to move the microwave to the end of the counter and turn it sideways just to get all 3 things on the same counter
would love to drag my crockpot back out but there's just no more counter space
