Another pic from yesterday I found, that shows off the mountains better.

Usually you can easily walk around the lake shore banks and find a good spot to fish, or take pics. As the water level was so low, the current lake shore was 10-15 metres down a 45° levee. So I just scrambled down (in the dark ) and followed the lake until I had the view I wanted.

I can't wait to return once there's some snow on the mountains

I don't know if I enjoy cooking, but I don't mind it...but ug not in this apartment, the kitchen is entirely too tiny to be cooking in...all the counter space is being used by the dishwasher (one counter), air fryer/oven/toaster/rotissary/all-in-one-thing-a-majig (another counter), coffee maker and microwave and leaving a tiny spot where my toaster is (which I'm about to store away and put my ninja blender back out)(the last counter) I had to move the microwave to the end of the counter and turn it sideways just to get all 3 things on the same counter
would love to drag my crockpot back out but there's just no more counter space
A good kitchen is essential to enjoying cooking. I have always loved to cook. Seems like a creative outlet to me. Two years ago I got the kitchen of my dreams and now no one at home to cook for anymore. I do make a cake, from scratch, for every person in my circle for their birthday

Looking forward to the review. It may give give my sceptre some competition, I just wish Vaporesso went with coils instead of replaceable pods

I agree about coils but their pods seem to last a long time on other Vaporesso pods I’ve tried like the Xros. I reviewed the Luxe Q about a month ago. It’s basically a smaller pm40 without the screen and adjustments.

yeah kind of the same issue....well more that I just became a short order cook....both my kids are picky eaters and do not eat the same things...so trying to cook one thing for everyone became useless....even when they can agree on something it still has to be different
one kid wants fish sticks, the other wants fish fillets (the triangle breaded kind)
one kid will only eat chicken nuggets (preferably from mcd's) and the other wants chicken fries (preferably from bk)
or like my eldest would eat spaghetti but my youngest didn't want sauce just the noodles or with butter...
I was constantly preparing 3 different meals
and that whole oh they'll eat it when their hungry enough thing...yeah nope...my kids will not eat even if it makes them sick because they didn't eat....or my eldest ug she would eat it under protest then force her self to get sick when she was little :-x
sometimes you just gotta pick and chose your battles and food was not worth it...
though I do understand my eldest is her autism...textures and smells....and my youngest it was hard to explain to her why her sister got "special treatment" so meh....I'll just fix everyone something different instead of trying to pull my hair out.

I don't really agree @chanelvaps . I can enjoy cooking on a portable butane cooker or a BBQ. My must-haves are razor sharp knives, a wood chopping board and running water.

Was wondering if anyone knew where i can get replacement gaskets for the QR JuggerKnot MR.

    It's this one right here:

    GASKET.JPG

Forgot to take a pic of mine before i replaced it but the area i mark with the red arrows was bent outwars, did't fully grasp the center hole.
I think that is why it was a bit rough when i screwed in the top and why sometimes i got spitback.

Thing is i don't know if it's an issue with the cap or just the the first gasket was faulty,i made sure that every time that i filled it i didn't just shove in the tip of my chubby e-liquid bottle so that can't be it.
I always started in the outer ring pressed outwards a bit THEN put in the nozzle,so this problem has me a bit baffled.

    Anyone else with this problem?

I email QP Design because the gaskets don't show up in their store, can't seem to find them anywhere so I'm hoping i get good news from QP Design or maybe someone here knows where to get these gaskets.

Apart from that i am loving this atty, flavor is soooo good and now i got the wicking perfect each time ;)

    cheers

That is one of the things i would do if i won the lotto, get my perfect ideal kitchen all set up.
Pops was a chef and we have had like 4 restaurants so i have spent my fair time in the kitchen and good tools and proper space is essential for cooking in style and with good quality of food.

Personally i can't afford to buy all the fancy kitchen gadgets i would like (looking at you flat-top griddle) but at least i like to have my basics covered.

3 professional cooking knifes of different sizes and 2 chopping boards, plastic one i use for meat (chicken, pork and beef) and the wooden one i use for vegetables and other things.
Gotta be careful with my pops so for hygiene reasons i never used a wooden chopping board for meat specially pork and chicken.

Pops in a foul mood today so i thought oh well i will cook him his second favorite dish, almost 2 hours and a half later this is the result:

My world renown Special Triple Cheese Macaroni Bolognese

Tomato base sauce takes about 2 hours of slow cooking, wash tomatoes, blend them then you slow cook them with spices, red wine and a dash of olive oil.
Mix of ground pork and beef and use my famous middle filling system, once the macaroni and bolognese is mixed i put a layer in the baking dish, add a dash of cooking cream (nothing worst than dry oven cooked pasta bolognese) then add parmesan, bit of blue cheese and some Emmental cheese, then add the rest of the pasta and finish off by putting the rest of the Emmental cheese on top.

Bake it and you ready to go :)

P.S:Setting up my paypal so i can receive payments for revealing my recipe :lol:

    What spices do you use?

    What spices do you use?

For the bolognese i keep it simple, sometimes less is more:

Salt, freshly grinded black pepper and cummin...sometimes oregano but not much, just a tad so it doesn't overpower the rest of the flavors.
Secret of the tomato sauce is you need to keep it at really low heat and you need to move the sauce every 5 minutes,if you don't it will stick to the bottom and burn which will affect the whole flavor profile of the sauce.

I mean yeah it is a pain in the .... to do the sauce when you can just open a can and use its contents but this is way better, flavor is miles ahead of any store bought sauce and you know what exactly is in the sauce.

Pasta needs to be boiled al dente, meaning it can't be soggy and really bland,it will finish up cooking when it's in the oven.
This is a common mistake people do when making this dish, they over cook the pasta.

Morning all! Just a quick howdy, I’ll catch up when I can.
I have my eldest granddaughter - since Monday. She’s a good kid, helped me assemble the patio furniture. She as supposed to go home yesterday, but her dad (my son) was in a car accident. He says he’s fine, but his car is totaled.
Waiting to see what he needs to do. She seems to be having a good enough time here though. I’d keep her a while longer.

Sourcemore asked me what I’d like to review next, but I need to dig through my stash and see if I already have some of the stuff I’d like to get. I thought I had a VV Pyro, but I don’t think it’s the V2.

    Two Thelema Pod devices

I am loving the Thelema pods. When my son came over to drop off my granddaughter, he saw one on the table and wanted it. I had one still in the box, so I gave him that, a box of coils, and 30mls of Charlie’s custard clone. He loves the custard, @charlie1465 although he has never liked any other juice I’ve made.

It’s always hard to pick the next review item since they have restrictions on what brands we can pick.
