Yes the Pyro V2 wicks just fine without cables. SS cables shouldn't make a difference to flavour.

They shouldn’t, but because they help with keeping the cotton consistently wet, some people feel they do help. I’m a tank twirler from back in the day so my wicks don’t dry lol.

Got this from Freemax to review. Haven’t heard of it but it looks nice, doesn’t it?

Weird, delivered to the house on a Sunday.

I took pictures of the ZZ1 today and will get working on that review tomorrow.

I've never tried one of the cable-fed rdta designs like that "brawny lass" the Brunhilde.

Reckon I should try one @Daniel Forsyth ?

Do I reckon you should try one?? That's a silly questiono_O

Of Course You Should Try A Brunhilde MTL rta Mate:thumb:

I love the Wotofo profile, but it doesn’t squonk. I love the VV Pyro V2, but it doesn’t have cables - doesn’t seem to affect the flavor at all. The Thunderhead Artemis is bf with cables and that’s a really nice RDTA that nobody seems to mention.
    Ahem
    Profiles squonk for me.....

I got the exact same one a couple days ago. I knew it was coming though.

It has been mentioned on the Freemax forum. I’m curious if your pod will be loose on the base like mine. If I pick it up by the pod it moves quite a bit.

The pod doesn’t seem too wobbly, for being held in by magnets. But I’ll pay attention to that.

Does "cable fed" mean that the coil is powered by way of wires rather than from traces in a PCB?

I'm sorry to be so unknowledgeable, but from a 40-year career in audio electronics I've seen too many impedance-based accidents to trust myself to wind my own coils. Thus, I haven't paid that much attention to tanks that don't accept factory built coils.

If I pick mine up by the pod, it pulls it up just enough that it doesn’t make contact if I try to fire it. I have to push the pod back down.

No, there are stainless steel rods that wick the liquid up to the wick from my understanding. I don’t have an rta like that but listen when people discuss it.
