I’m using two ni80 coils. Some kind of Clapton that were .35 ohm each coming out to .18 installed. 51 watts is a good spot for me.

Ill be shooting for ohms in the 3 to 5 area. Wattage from 30 to 50ish depending on the rba I’m building. I like having some variety.

I got some vape mail tonight. It’s review samples but shiny nonetheless. I got both of the new Dovpo tanks and the Freemax Maxus 168. I haven’t opened anything but will share pics once I take some.

Photos for sure otherwise it never happened lol!

I contacted SM again with a not so nice email about my order, they said they could ship from a different warehouse, but be by NL post which could take 25-35 days, well that is what I paid for anyway, at least I know it is on it's way at least.

We’ve been wrapping Xmas presents all night and still aren’t done. I need to at least get started testing the Vativ.

The only shiny thing I've gotten are some spools of wire. One spool is ribbon wire, and I haven't tried it before. A bit trickier to work with on my first attempt, but works well.

    A bit of Coil Porn:w00t:
What gauge of ribbon wire did you get yourself?
I've been using it for about 1yr now, Great Stuff;) I use 0.2mm×0.8mm, you get the hang using of it pretty quickly:thumb:

I got .7mmx.1mm, it's pretty thin. I might have to find some of the .2mm:)

I've tried the 0.1mm before and it veeery thin, not fun to work witho_O
I'd recommend trying 0.2mm-0.3mm depending on how many watts you vape at.
I have always purchased my wire from Fasttech, they have a pretty good selection.

Got me one to mate...shipping only $1 something
Got high hopes for it to. I'll use it on the Billet box first, and talk to you later about other mod options.
But as you say it'll take a while....I took the Chinese post option :w00t:
I chose the Chinese post option too. It's been a little while since I ordered from 3f but figured shipping is so screwed up right now that it's a bit of a lottery so just take the plunge and see what happens.

Keen to share thoughts with you on this one when it arrives:thumb::thumb:

At this stage, I still want to get the Pulse AIO as my first - due to the price and that it comes with the Pulse rba which I love the look of.

And I'm tempted with the £40 nautilus Boxx from Cheeky Vapes. But I can get the qbix rba here for their price on that. What I want to try first in the Boxx if i do go there, is the Pulse rba or the Orbit rba - I love the look of that airflow design.
So many good ones to choose from now. The Pulse AIO kit looks good :thumb::thumb:
It's really good times for boro mods and rbas.

    Morning Shinies

@Daniel Forsyth Morning mate. Here's a post I just wrote on the Big Bob review thread....

"I pulled the tank apart and took the opportunity to give it a good clean. I roughed up the ends of my cables and noticed that they are almost smooth at each end. No trace of the open cable twists as shown in the pic above. I think it's because they were compressed when cut....are yours like that?? Anyway it may explain the problem. It doesn't matter how I wick it it just isn't wicking unless I tip it right up to allow juice to leak onto the cotton :-x They ARE a tight fit through the cable feed holes so I was loath to try untwisting them.
I haven't checked the spare set yet....but I will

ETA. I've tried the cotton tighter than I usually would in the coil and it's worse!! I use Mavaton X so there's never a problem with fluffy dense tails".

    Hope everyone's ok

Sure thing. Have to say i'm kinda exited to put the BB with a new tank to use again. From what I see, the original is one expensive and well made tank, so I hope the clone is a good representation of it.

    Good Morning Charlie:wub:
I've just checked my Big Bad Brunhilde and three other small MTL ones and all 10 SS cables were nice and smooth on top, more compressed like your ones and they have always wicked like troopers for me. So that's not a problem at all.
If you're SS cables are are a bit of tight fit in the holes try giving them twist back and forth as you're putting them in the holes, it's easier if you use some tweezers.
You've got me scratching my head on this Charlieo_O

I hope you have a very nice day Mate:thumb:

My SS Kumo and Brunhilde number 2 has shipped along with my two Cabeo's. SM and 3F respectively. SM will take ages I expect but my last 3F order was here in around a week... we'll see. They're both using Netherlands post express line so weird and that there's a difference in timing.

They're not a tight fit at all....just right I would say. It's difficult because I know that you and Bob are tootle puffers so the wicking may just keep up in that context.

    I shall keep trying :pervy:

I just received a 3F and FT orders that were placed AFTER my SM orders. I chose and paid for the USPS shipping but it was changed to the Netherlands postal service.

I remember reading something about SM’s shipping policy that stated some orders would be switched to the NLs service which states it taking 23-25 days to delivery.

It may explain why so many of us are waiting for orders. I’ll go to their site and see if I can find it.

UPDATE this may be the shipping info I read about the other day although I thought it explained it better.

Looks like there's a difference between the Hong Kong warehouse and Shenzhen. With the Hong Kong warehouse you're paying for either/or NL/UPS but with the Shenzhen warehouse it just shows USPS/UPS.

Did your order come from Hong Kong??
