Bestia mods, uses 2x18350 batteries and i gotta say it looks pretty good.

I might be interested if they didn't have all that "branding" crap on the body.
Me no like mods with in-your-face branding. Mods w/bold branding are a "no go", for me.

Yep,gotta agree with you there.

But the thing is sooo small it gets a higher cute rating just for that.
Would have looked better maybe with a 2 tone motif or perhaps with just the one color and then a pinstripe in another color to add a little something something on the side.

Shame i am not into mechs or that would be another rabbit hole i would be going down

I would buy one if it was a solid color and "Bestia" was printed on the bottom of the mod. Or if Bestia was in a very small font on one side.

I love my mechs, always have 3-4 going (tubes, box and squonkers).

I've always felt it was in each vapers best interests to own at least one pure mech mod as a backup plan.

Why? Because eventually the electronics might/will fail in regulated mods.

I purchased spare DNA, Dicodes boards/screens and also a couple spare boards/screens for my Eleaf Pico 75's.

Could've been static discharge.

What a great idea! A simple mosfet circuit - never thought of that. Are the right type readily available? I did test the fire button for continuity and it's fine.
If you go the mosfet route, I would buy a mosfet board, then you get some protection against how far down the battery can be drained and also battery protection.

The cheapest one I know of is from Mod Maker.
The only thing you need to do is make a transitional frame for the mod, and solder.
They have two types, one with switch and one for external switch.

That's a nice option too.

Or, just skip the mosfet and wiring altogether and convert the BXR into a true mech.

I'm thinking the easiest, and quickest, option would be to install a DNA60 (same as the authentic).

Converting a BXR into a true mech might be a PITA. I can't tell from @Pigs photos if there would be room for a contact strip without modifying a contact strip.

IMG_2723cr.jpg

That's the contact from inside my KrönigBox squonker. It's a pure silver .999 contact. Krönig sells them in two sizes, one for 18650 and one for 21700. I bought one for a spare when I purchased my KrönigBox.

ETA: Oooops, forgot to add there is a silver contact strip running from "-" to where the 510 squonk assembly connects. ;)

Bestia Mods does make the Baby Bruto in solid colors and with only the "B" on the striped fire button. They say it's the smallest dual parallel mech mod on the market (2x18350). They originally released released the Bruto (dual 18650) and Baby Bruto (dual 18350) in July 2020. They released more last November.

Bestia Mods are high-end, with prices around 250€ (some cost more). They do make some very nice mechs. Also have an AIO/Boro mod.

@Javichu looking at their mods on Instagram, none have whacked out branding. Perhaps they made the one you posted as a one-off for the Madrid Expo.

The authentic BXR uses a DNA60. Didn't you buy a spare DNA60 a while back? Or did you use it in another mod?

There are a ton of threads on ECF that go deep into modding with mosfets.

Or, just skip the mosfet and wiring altogether and convert the BXR into a true mech.
Thanks SMT.
I do have a spare DNA board but don't like the design/build quality of the BXR clone enough to use it for that. Saving it for possibly upgrading my PRC Ion or another mod.
Converting the BXR into a mech did cross my mind but the wires between the fire button and the contacts are too flimsy for my liking.

Thanks Tor. The one without switch looks ideal.

Thanks for the info buddy, yeah i tried looking for more info but couldn't really find any on this particular brand.

About the color you probably right, think it was like a display only type of thing but my friend the owner of the local vape shop talked the guy at the stand into letting it go hehe

Eager to read your thoughts on this one Hitt.
I’ve actually had one for a couple weeks that I preordered from HC because I didn’t know if I’d get to review one. My only real complaint is that the display font is too small for my old eyes.

Does it have some weight or is it pretty lightweight? I need weighty mods, keeps me from dropping them.

Yes, it’s got a nice weight to it but not so heavy that it’s uncomfortable to hold.
