I see a lot of my old favs there. Loved the VAMO
The friend that originally got me in to vaping used a Vamo. I thought it was such a cool design that I had to try it. At the time I had no real intention to give up the smokes but he flicked the switch.
Looking at that photo and comparing the devices (industrial design/art) to today's flood of plastic, tells a sad tale.

I have something that I'd like to tell my very close friends of the Shiny Thread and do forgive me for being a little foggy but that's were my head is at the moment. I was admitted to hospital a couple of weeks ago with a rather nasty chest infection and breathing complications. They gave me medication to help combat that but also took a heap of blood tests and a few scans in the process. The results of the scans weren't very good at all. I was found to have cancer on my lungs. A few more scans and a biopsy was taken to mainly to see there was any spread throughout my body. Yesterday I got the final results and everything I contained within the lungs so it hasn't spread anywhere else, I've been worrying about that for the past two weeks and struggling to keep a smile at times. Being on the Forum helps immensely.
Now I have an appointment with my oncologist and from there we'll work out what treatment path is the best for me.
Right now I'm so so confused and a little bit scared. I'm just very lucky that I so much support in family, especially my mum.
I'll keep everyone in the loop the future on how things are progressing but one thing is that I have much more of a positive attitude towards life these days so that's already a step in right direction. Forgive any mistakes in there but that was rather hard post to type.
It makes me sad to hear Daniel, but they have found the cancer at an early stage.
They have become very skilled at treating cancer, you are in the best hands.
You can do this, and we are here to cheer you on.

My first "real" mod was the SVD, and that after vaping for a year. Uh, wanted to make sure vaping was working for me.

It was :)

Followed up for a few years with more regulated tubes, got a few tube mechs (and fuse units) for the apocalypse box before box mods came on the scene.

So the tubes mostly gather dust these days, but there if needed down the road.

My first mod was an Eleaf TC 40. When I finally found a coil that suited me I went to step two which became an Innokin Kroma-R. I still remember debating whether to buy the Innokin kit as it was a lot of money (I felt then).

Then I ended up on this forum, read thread after thread and wanted to try out an rta, and on a bit of impulse bought the Kayfun Prime Nite DLC.
After that, it completely took off.
Of course, it also didn't help that I ended up in this thread...

My first little mod was my Innokin Coolfire IV Plus! Then I joined up to ECF for some great tips and stumbled across three Threads! The Asmodus Owners Club, Showoff Your Stabwoods and the Shiny Thread. That's when the trouble began and mods were being delivered left right and centre:w00t: so I can officially 'thank' Ange, Sara and everyone in the Shiny Thread for for my vast Asmodus and Good Wood collection, it wasn't my fault:laugh: and don't get me started on who pushed me towards those Vapefly tanks:lol:

    Somewhere between here and there
My first kits were 510 cigalikes. That’s pretty much all that was available except 901’s and 801’s. Didn’t take long until I tore apart the 510 batteries to make boxes out of battery boxes with 14500 batteries. Modder parts really weren’t available at first.

My first real mod was the mvp. Then the 2 and 3 lol.
Before that I toyed with the early cigalikes. Had the blu kit. The one that looked like a cig and the tip lit up blue. The white was the batt and the brown filter was the cartridge. The cig hard pack charged the batts and held extra cartridge. Wow how far we have come, thought that blu kit was the bees knees.

Anyway, after the Atlantis tank came out it was all downhill.

My first was the Joyetech ego AIO in May 2016.
Followed that a couple of weeks later with a Pico 75/Melo III mini tank. Took me about a week of obsessive YouTube watching to decide to build my own coils. The Youde (UOD) Goblin Mini RTA fit the Pico and looked cool! (Bought from Gearbest). The flavour of that tank probably stopped me going back to smoking. It's a 22mm bottom fill RTA through a tiny little flat head screw. Leaks like a sieve if you get the wicking wrong but amazing when right.
Anyone here like the Goblin mini?

    Good morning shinies,

I received a package today, an 8kg package from the UK with wire & shrink tubing, for the tractor.
I'm going to add new wiring for lights so that I can make everything a plug & play system.

Next month I may be back with vape purchases, this summer has been hard on the budget because of the tractor.
