That's what I thought, they do have a hole to thread the wire through but they seem to only do the tensioning bit properly on the dedicated Beadalon Spool, at least that's what I understand from the details on the pack.

They do a reasonable job of stopping the wire unraveling, but looking at the pics you really are supposed to match the width of the elastic to the spool. Mr Optimist here was hoping one size would fit all, as I didn't match the size on ordering (which I realise now I should have).
I didn't know they were used to tension wire, they only have an elastic band so you could never get an even tension. To prevent unraveling they are perfect.

Excellent fit on Lightning vape spools, not so much on AVS and I didn't try them on Zivipf spools.

Heh. I love the profile. I just bought another one. It gives comparable flavor and performance to my dual coils at 100 Watts but it only needs like 40-45 Watts. Not as much vapor but similar heat.

I like the Orion a lot though. Just not a big fan of pods. The Orion’s super power is the ability to make 50mg feel like nothing tho. Super tasty.
Odis Collective (the O-Atty people) are coming out with an RBA pod for the Orion. That might be something to keep an eye out for.

Cheap is good, fun to play with!
The VLS' posts have a ton of metal in them, a single vertical coil in the center works but you might want to try a horizontal too. The idea placement for vertical is on the outside of the posts, but you have to build dual as there is zero AFC adjustment that way. Really none to speak of through the posts either... The holes are angled downwards, so it will take some trial and error for good coil placement. I never bothered with the stacked horizontal coils as the airflow angles down, you'll see when you build on it.

I have run a single centered coil in the Tauren as well as dual. Morten likes it with a single, he actually gets quite giddy over the results. ;)

Queued up at the spot.

So did it make you giddy as well?;)

Baking = Being totally OCD about quantities, measurement, temperature, air content etc. Very few good bakers can survive without an extensive set of measuring scales, cups, spoons, a food mixer and an oven thermometer. All bakers are inherently vegans at heart as the total spectrum of their ingredients includes grains, seeds and plants. Have a potential crisis of conscience over the regular use of eggs and milk, as these items are either offspring or food destined for offspring. Inherently the cleanest food, if dropped on the floor batter cannot be easily picked up. Dietary weaknesses include butter, sugar, chocolate and cream. Requires skills not normally held by the average person to achieve anywhere near excellence.

Cooking = Throwing various unmeasured quantities of dismembered animal parts either onto a barbecue, or into a skillet containing butter or oil. No cook can survive without a decent chopping board, sharp knives and a plethora of heavy pans to caramelise aforementioned cuts and make sauces. Closest a chef will get to using plant matter is for garnish, as nobody but the most avant-garde will heat lettuce. No conscience whatsoever, will shamelessly steal stale leftovers from the baker to grind up to coat or pad out and disguise various dishes. Lives by the 3 second rule, provided any matter is picked up off the floor within that time, frying will kill off any bugs. Dietary weaknesses include garlic, wine, cream and spices that will cause either raging flatulence, indigestion, or the inside of your mouth to dissolve. A minimum skillset of reasonable eyesight and the ability to heat food and prod it with a knife to test doneness is all that is required, if it turns a darker shade then it is probably cooked.

(Purely my dark attempt at self-deprecating humour, I cannot bake to save myself, my last attempt was used as structural support for a major highway project) :(.

And me and wife both agree being a chef compared to being just a cook is no good. You'll see the chef for a minute in the galley. They'll bark at cooks to have dishes finished in three seconds & expect them to be perfect. They themselves, the chefs, cannot do anything else in a galley.

I have a dish used to fix a housing structure in a very dry and cold environment. "Oh look, this stew works just like concrete when applied to the ice, ..." The trouble being it wasn't even stew but rather scrambled eggs & sausage.

Did enjoy spending a day with a cook in the Navy. He had me on the Po' Cho's. His great grandma on down six generations or so worked the houses in the French Quarter. Brought in a secret rub for the pork, then it got put through a marine in a 'torpedo tube' bin. I would then slather the griddle with the chops, make sure they got done proper. Worked that a full 18 hr shift for the guy. In turn I tasted real coffee, stuff so thick and black it stood spoons up in itself.

He also turned me lose a bit in officer's ward. Got snuck a cigarette and ten minutes in the ward to enjoy it. Then we tried boiling a sleeping mate in a soup cauldron. He rolled up awake when we started adding cold water.

*smh* Fun times although never done again. I still haven't got a good sleep cycle after twenty or so years. Some nights two hours only. Other nights at most I see six hours, average out four. Eight hours sleep the recommended? Ha! Keep dreaming Alice, Wonderland is just around the corner.

I just continually feel an urge "something needs done". Though when I do sleep it is dead to the world. Wife says she has to nearly beat me to death to wake me. *chuckles* Oh well, reckon one day I'll stop my evil ways. Yeah, one of these days, ...

I'm not wanting another dual, I seldom use them.

*nods* There ya go! Used to use duals on the Velocity clones. One day I had this really funky thought thing.

"Hm, what if I only used one coil like the evods did," I asked myself in my wooden block on my shoulders.

Now, I cannot seem to use anything else but one coil. I blame global warming and the lack of good Silly Putty, string, aluminum foil at opportune moments.

I grew up here in the 80s. It was really cool here back then.

It was? I forgot. I grew up in the mid to late'70's though and was a young adult/teen during the '80s. There was once a trip I recall where I was in NM, did not remember how i got there, why. Um, so like you say the '80s were cool, I'll take your word, i don't remember much except Duran Duran, Bowie, Metalica, Mega Death, Suicidal Tendencies, Velvet Underground .. hoping off here or there, or when and where, ah yep some Maiden, Ozzy.

My dream mod went up for sale last night (I think). I missed out because (1) both instantly sold and (2) ain't nobody got that kind of money.

It's so beautiful

Bah! It's only $786.00 USD. I'll get us half a dozen and ship you three. *chuckles* And please don't hold your breath for that. Lucky if I could find two pennies to scrape together here.

The logistic service what supplies reimbursement for fuel and auto upkeep from my visiting doctors sometimes 90 (144.8 km) miles both ways, is being a pain in the something. Seems they're having difficulty in sending me the first cheque/check to then lead into a new electronic pay out debit card. One of the unfortunate aspects of America is private health care.

Even were I at a decent form of employment making even say $20 USD hrly, I would still need to rely upon government assist for health care. Companies can offer group rates on insurance offered employees and sometimes that's alright, other times you'd be better off paying fully out of pocket until you pay the insurance premiums, deductibles. Why did you get insurance, again? And then too, me with a congenital issue might not even get covered.

Government is supposed to help a bit. Trouble being they rely on private groups as well, without much regulation. Bent over if you get insurance, bent over if you do ... BOHICA BOHICA! :) (Bend. Over. Here. It. Comes. Again!) I think if the US swapped out to like Denmark, get us taxed at the higher rate of 30% flat for all, we'd be better off. At least there they have free education, free health care that is actual health care. But nah, nobody wants to hear that.

My nephew actually did that, too. The first he started talking was during the movie Barnyard, while cuddled up in my arms in a chair. He called me Mooshy Cow. Sadly in a way, about a week later he whispered in my ear to ask if I would be his daddy. *sighs*

The US pays more per capita for healthcare than any other country in the World. There's a misconception that taxes to need to be raised to give people universal coverage... the reality is more that the fat just needs to be cut. That's the reality when the hospital is for profit, the investors need to get paid, the insurance companies get their cut, and everything has its cost marked up because there is no control or regulation.

This is from 2016, last I checked the US was at $13,000/capita.

I just celebrated my 9th anniversary working for Canada's largest private insurer. I started by adjudicating claims and worked my way up to capacity and planning.

The way it works here is, I believe, pretty good. People get basic coverage. This means doctor visits, hospital visits, etc are all paid. What isn't paid is paramedical (massage, physiotherapy, chiropractors, etc.), vision expenses, dental, drugs, and equipment.

But the way it works is that your employer by law has to offer you private insurance. If you don't have private insurance, you get the government insurance. So really everyone has the necessities plus whatever their private plan covers. Some people have huge private plans that cover everything with no maximums, others have the bare essential. The important thing is that if you got sick or injured, you wouldn't be in a position where you would die.

There's a big misconception when it comes to waiting times too. I often see US news reports saying people are waiting hours and hours and hours in line in Canada. Because the doctor side is largely public, it's not on a first come first serve basis: it's on a first needed first served basis. If I went to the clinic because of a cold, i'd probably wait 2-3 hours. If I went to the emergency room with a cold, maybe 5-6 hours. When my aunt and grandpa got cancer, after triage they were immediately sent to diagnostics and treatment for their cancer began within 24 hours. They effectively did not have to wait for anything because they had cancer and not a cold. There's wait times to see specialists and stuff like that; but again, wait time is based on need. If you have a sore back your scan might need 3-6 months. If you have a ruptured disk or broken back, it'll be handled pretty much immediately.

Federal tax rate here is 20.5% if you make between 40 something and 90 something annually. Another 9% to the province. Brings us to just under 30%. In the US it's 25% on the federal side for a comparative bracket. Not sure how state income tax works. Yet we're the communists losing our entire salary to taxes.

@dom qp - Was looking at that this morrn. Doesn’t add up… $1039 CAN for the mod and RDA but separately they are $714 and $169 respectfully. Unless I am missing something. BTW - that stabwood looks awesome! :thumb:

@MorelyMagicMist – at $786 US after conversion they are cheaper in Canada not including shipping and customs.

@Letitia – Zelda caught me awing at your kittens. I’m now in the dog house. Super cute!!

Assuming there's a premium for full black edition.
