There's laws governing how LiIon batteries can be sent (I'm sure the UK has one as well) - if the sender doesn't conform and customs get a hold of your package...

For sharpening I get those
Naniwa | Dictum
and made myself some strops from thick leather (one laced with chromium oxide).
My knives split a falling hair. I don't have to cut onions, they fall apart neatly as soon as they see my knife

Should be OK, as they were being shipped inside the UK. They might turn up tomorrow (Sat).

Wish I could sharpen knives the old fashioned way, it's just not one of my skill sets :(.

Today was the last of the shinies until Christmas. Have had a road to Damascus moment with the Wasp Nano, so picked up a spare one with a crazy 2ml tank. The Wotofo Serpent was in a mystery box along with the factory flavours. Thought I'd go out with a bang.

Happy weekend shiners! Sorta chain vaped that 10 ml squonk bottle down last night for fun, now I have finger cramps.

I do have a Recurve arriving today so another atty to try out on the Topside. Also have to download the firmware and get TC on there and see if it works. It's still a fine vape without it, but I do love my TC.

I can't shave with an electric shaver, all that does is give me a terrible rash, every time without fail. The multi blade razor thingies don't perform much better, so some time in my 20s I started to look into older razors.
While exploring that I of course came across straight razors, met an old guy that still does a classic straight razor shave in his shop and learned how to shave and how to restore/sharpen/strop razors from him.
Now I mainly use

and straight razors once or twice a week (quite a relaxing ritual, not so much if you're in a hurry :D).
If you're still awake after trying to read this - that's how I got into sharpening everything

New straight razors are pretty shiny and cost a lot (like 200+€ a pop) but you can find old ones on flee markets/fleebay or household clearances for under 10€, just have to restore them. UK must be flooded with Sheffield razors

I'm home and waking up slowly Do not think I am caught up on the thread, I am not. It's not gonna happen. I feel a bit panicky for no reason. I got EVERTHING done by Friday afternoon and a few things to do this weekend, but it's just an ECCH moment. I imagine it will pass. I plan to take it a bit easy. Husband is still asleep.

My snus arrived!!!!!!!! It is HUGE package honestly. I guess I didn't think about like, what 103 cans of snus would look like. I'm going to shrink wrap them in sets of 4 or so and shove them in my freezer (up at the apartment).

UPS is freaking ghetto. I haven't used them in years. The box arrived torn open and beaten up. Give me DHL ANY day of the week. Nothing seems missing. IDK if customs tore into it or what. But it's here and looking pretty darn shiny to me.

I have money in my account left over (I'm not gonna spend it, I am saving right now) and all my needs are met except some groceries and a couple meds until my next paycheck. .

I am enjoying this having funds thing. Still enjoying the job too, so there's that. I am really pretty happy. Overall.

I have that same razor! Himself has one of my grandfather’s straight razors. He was a barber by trade, from the 20’s until he retired in the late 70’s. Sooo much better than the tossers you buy today

I have that same razor!
It's a gillette adjustable. There's several models, I got 3 of them, the one in the pic, the "Fatboy" and a longer one with a black handle. They're indeed built to last, mine were produced somewhere between 1955 and 1965 and look pretty much like new. Some of my straight razors are almost 100 years old.
The plastic multi blade bangers from the supermarket are garbage right out of the box, they make your skin buckle behind your hairs (making a small round cut more likely) and one stroke is dragging 5 blades across your skin. If you do 2 directions (with and against "the grain") you just put 10 blades over your skin vs 2 with and old razor.
I strop my razor blades on the palm of my hand and they last pretty long and feel smooth on my face - impossible with the fixed install of the plastic ones. If you've seen those blades under a microscope after just 1-2 uses then you understand why they need 5 blades...

It’s HERE! @bigbob2322 , you’re so right, the color is much more vivid in person. Nice and light, with the same tactile, easy to hold feel of its big brothers. And (shocked), I like the Cerberus tank. Dials down to a more restricted dl, getting great flavor. Usually the first thing I do is pif the tank. I’ll order more mesh coils for this one.
Now, if the PO would just deliver my FT order. I’ve got the coil already built for the ammit mtl.

Pretty colors there. How many watt are you giving the coil Mel? Looking for a new tank for my cousin.
