Good day all,

Windy as hell here in Toronto as well, Zelda has yelled at me a few times to make it stop. She is hiding in one of her secret lairs – no idea which one. Lunch is at 2pm so I expect her to come out then

Still letting my DIY Strawberry Cream steep – had a sample late last night, not too bad. Will give it another week before I pass judgement.

Spent the past few days contemplating over what DIY juices I would like to try my hand at and the needed flavours. Going to try out a Dinner Lady Lemon Tart rendition, a Lemon Crumble Cake from DIY or Die and a Strawberry Shortcake and Mothers Unicorn Milk that were both highly rated on ELR. They were all chosen so I can try and capitalize on the flavours that I own, and the flavours I need. So have a bunch of flavours on the way. Also have a bottle of five pawns Castle Long in the mail…this $h!t is bloody expensive but I have never tried it. Has anyone tried any of the DIY renditions of this?
There are a bunch of clone recipes on ELR for their juices. I found a Pawn Master I like. Here’s two for Castle Long from the clones thread on Reddit

Finally got to ordering some fancy drip tips from Siam. Only bought extras during the first year of vaping and they all sucked badly, so I stopped buying them. And during the whole DL craze I couldn’t be bothered to dig for smaller bore DTs. I hope these are awesome.

Nice looking mod, never heard of it though. Top air sub ohm tanks? That’s new to me too. Let us know what you think.
That little bugger deserves way more attention that it gets. baby compatible coils/atties are so widespread, yet they're all bottom-airflow - except this one.

When getting recipes from elr it is important to note the date it was posted. The older ones will likely need the percentages adjusted for current gear.

I think I’ve tried every rendition of DL Lemon Tart. None have come close. But I have 1 steeping until Friday. Nick Evans has a Lemon Meringue Tart I’m really enjoying with a 2 day steep but it’s not a clone of Dinner Lady.

Thanks:) I'll give that a try. What I was trying was pretty close. The spaced coil gave me the hot spot at the end. I overwrapped and let it spin 1 wrap out I still ended up with the wrap on the end looser than the rest. I thought I pulled it tight enough but apparently not. I think it didn't have enough contact with the wick because It glowed out from the center without a wick in it. I tried more cotton but still got a hot spot. I have 50 feet of it so I can practice. I also have .5×.1 i bought for the Hastur. If the rta arrives today I will give that wire a try. Should be easier for learning.
I put the flatwire on a screwdriver with a 3mm shank, do 6 wraps, snip and pull it all tight with the Leatherman. On a same side coil I will pull the wire 1/4 turn further as if making an opposing leg coil, when you release everything lines up nicely. I run the flatwire contact as I don't like the snapping and popping from spaced coils. A few strums of the coil and all the hot spots disappear.

I have that one saved for when I order flapper pie. I think/hope that might be the missing link to kick it up a notch

Thanks. So you have tried this recipe? There is another on DIY or Die that seems a little more complex.

Interesting….thanks for the tip. So what defines “older”? And how does one adjust? Increase percentage or decrease? Or follow the recipe then go from there? Much to learn.

Thanks. There are so many which I am almost positive I will eventually try out. Big fan of lemon desert flavoured e-juice, so even if the DL Lemon Tart rendition I am going to try is not close, I am sure I can make it work as something I will enjoy.

You do it right in ELR in the drop down you click to adjust %’s.

Which one are you using?

Thanks. I got that far but as per @Letitia post, how do you know if a recipe needs adjusting? Example: The Strawberry Shortcake recipe from NotCharlesManson is from 2015. Is this considered old? And if so, in what direction does the adjustment have to be made. More flavourings or less?

If for example the flavoring total % is like 20% that’s considered high nowadays. If the recipe uses TFA, CAP or FW nowadays anywhere from 11%-15% is considered modern.

Ahhh….I see.

So the 19.5% flavouring of the Strawberry Shortcake is considered high and I should knock that down to 11 - 15%?
