Good morning all!

So far so good with the Luna and recurve. Zero leaking from the atty or the juice bottle. Everything working as it should. Vaped over half the bottle already though!

That's great!

And I think you have me sold on the recurve for real!

It's a gorgeous set up!

Understand though, that I don’t have much experience with RDAs, okay? I do really like it, it was a piece of cake to build, and I’m getting great flavor right out of the gate. No problem. But that’s not to say there isn’t something about it others would see as a con, or that there aren’t far better out there.

I have only used a VV pulse, a hadalay, and the Galatek- and a fancier if that counts, was awful as a dripper although a great tank. But they are all really messy compared to the recurve. And this is my first go at squonking.

I sure wouldn’t talk you out of it, but I’d tell you to ask people with more dripper experience.

I've never set up a squonker before yesterday... my expertise lies in building RTA's (and which wicking style also works in drippers since you add juice as needed)..

So what is easy for you, would also more than likely be easy for me.. :)

Yeah that’s me, too. I got RTAs down, pretty much. And I do like it well enough that I haven’t even thought of building the other two yet. That’s saying something, because I’m like a little kid, playing with the new toys. But I’m not ready to take this off the mod yet.

afternoon all.
my stratum 0 (or is that zero) clone and another package with coils and some other gubbins have gone into that black hole that the royal mail seem to keep active for things that have just cleared customs.
what a facility it must be.
nothing else incoming as of yet though a couple of things may be plucked from the list in the next week or so.
there may also be shiny of a long sought after sort in the near future. fingers are crossed.
still haven't built my zeus x...maybe this weekend.

I have it figured out. It was user error. I WAS wicking it wrongly.

It has a gentle squonk, and just fills the juice well when you squeeze. (Its kind of nice really) so in order to wick quickly, the wicking has to be far looser than you have to build for an RTA..(I had a hard time seeing this because my juice is clear)

I went to town on fluffing the tails, and watched and made sure it was wicking right, and now I'm getting some flavor.

I changed the coil placement higher, and it's doing better; I'm going to try messing with placement again, and then I think I'll have it... not quite right yet, but far closer...

Thanks for all your help so far... I may still need you yet, but it's coming along..

hahaha.. I never realized how different this would be. (This is my first Squonker set up)
You can't flood the coil with that RDA Either. The Recurve and Rabbit SQ you can fill the atty to the point where it buries the coil. Both are pretty much leakproof. The bottle will suck the extra juice back down. The atty should work better with the wicks thinned. It will make it easier for the juice to draw up and saturate the wick. Less pressure is better when squonking. I think some have bigger holes in the pin. My DRs seem to fill up quickly and have very little back pressure. A lot of the folks here who are big into squonking love the Recurve. Seems simple to learn but good enought to keep people loyal to them. The DR is that way for me. I can build those blindfolded.

It didn't leak a drop.

So how many babies are there?
Just 4 now. The tiny runt and gray calico died. The babies were just too crowded and think the two that died had internal organ problems. So far the other four seem to be thriving and June is looking much healthier. Mother Nature takes care of her own.

Glad it's working out so well for you. I love the Luna. You are making me want to get a Recurve now :) My next purchase will be another 30 ml 510 threaded bottle tho.

I'm glad mama and the babies are doing good. The other 2 are sad but it happens.
