I think that the first two were pretty much identical but this one actually reinvented the wheel a bit so is more desirable imo....here's a review of the original by Todd's reviews..

I hope it doesn't whistle too much otherwise I might be driven crazy also :)

Thanks Charlie. After skimming through that quickly it seems that it has kept the NarDa's reduced chamber but the airflow has changed, it also has a much deeper well and looks simpler to build. To be honest it seems to share many features of my O-Atty V2 clone which is also very flavoursome but was limited by having a similar small well as the original NarDa. I might have to grab one from fasttech myself.

View attachment 813819 Jeez, I finally caught up! I did five miles at Magee Marsh between the boardwalk and the estuary, took about 650 pictures that I’ll be going through until next year’s Biggest Week.
Got some great catches including an oven bird (picture) and a Prothonotary warbler. I did not practice at all with the camera the last few months so I was feeling pretty skeptical but I did pretty well.

The weather was great, but that meant the birds were high, a lot of flying, and my neck is so sore lol. But I want to go back out.

Kept me from shopping for a whole day!
This oven bird picture.. is it hot?

(Sorry, you said ovenbird and I got a mental picture of a flying stovetop. I misplace the blame for this terrible pun on you)

I think the Rage is one of the unique designs that some love, some hate. I really enjoy using mine and feel it fits well using both left or right hand and thumb or trigger firing. It is a heavy device, but as Boris the Blade says, “Heavy is good”, I do have fairly large hands but I could see someone with smaller hands fumbling with the device given it’s weight, shape and smooth finish. But my Rage is a stay at home device, I feel it is much too large and heavy to be carrying around in your pocket. Is that a Rage in your pocket or you happy to see me! Obviously this may not be an issue with those who sport the latest in fashionable fanny packs or purses.

The Pulse 80 is sooo much lighter than the Rage which gives it the upper hand for portability. But being a single cell, battery life can not compete, especially if you are a mid to high wattage user. Anything over 50 to 60 watts (60 is stretching it), I would look at dual cell devices.

The Rage uses a proprietary bottle but it is of excellent quality. I am still using the original clear bottle that came with mine with no issues of it retailing odor. The Vandy Vape bottle is of poor quality silicone – mine lasted only a few days before it started to smell. Good news is you can find alternative bottles for the Pulse. Regardless of which you choose, buy spare bottles – both devices have been out for a while now and I doubt either company is still producing. What you see is what’s left on the market.
I wonder how it compares in weight to the vapecigge vtx200? That thing is basically all abs

Why no shopping? No cell service around where you were taking photos?
Yeah, really. Some people just don't take their shinyitis seriously anymore.

Heck, even when I was but a wee lad I could be out and about and generally running amok and still take time out to peruse the X-Ray vision or Sea Monkey ads at the back of a comic book.

I took the Littlefoot back out. @jim_87 I am gonna throw a smaller build in it. Even a 5 wrap tri core instead of a 6 wrap quad core should help keep it much cooler.

I had to check and I've listed I drilled it out and used a central post from a doner clone of the baal v4.
I've recorded most of the rda's I've converted if anyone's stuck. (Guitar tech by trade, so it's a habit now).
I think I’ll try a straight drill through first. It has the advantage of simply being 2or 3 holes if I do it right. Plus I wanna see how accurate I can make the press. I got a cheap machinists level to check the square of the post and chuck. That should get me at least close. I’ve been thinking about putting a laser in the chuck and spinning it up to look for wobble. The one I got is meant for cats though so I doubt it would do any good.
The pressfit copper plug should just tap out using the threaded hole in the top of the post, so if I screw it up I can still save the atty. good to know there’s a backup plan available though. Thx! :)

I have a drawer full of vapes I bought and then didn't like. Finally I'm selling them off on ebay so I can justify buying a new one...I have a problem lol

No but really I just want one heavy duty vape for when I'm at home chilling, and one lightweight one that doesn't have huge cloud production for when I'm out with people. I was at an engagement party with my Nord AIO and I know it's no box mod, but my plumes were definitely bothering people so i ended up congregating with the smokers in their corner. I don't want to be one of those annoying vapers.

It vapes lovely when sorted but yes the tolerance on that disc is awful.
I have three.. no scrap that four here and only one aligns properly.

Post womble has just been and brought me a rincoe mechman 228 mesh kit to sample.
Pics will follow later so overt your eyes.
Looks like they designed it with GI joe in mind.
Perhaps it vapes better than it looks.

Thanks! I had a blast. Almost didn’t go because my bird buddy is out of town on a trip. I’ve never gone out by myself and my anxiety was through the roof.

I heard the causeway was flooded and there were 10,000 people expected.

But I’m glad I faced my fears. I’m thinking I deserve that 500 mm lense just for that lol. Picture is a black-throated green warbler.

What’s the pg/vg on your juice? Something around 50/50 ought not to be too cloudy.

I have the yihi mini mi and Geekvape Flint, which I took out with me yesterday. I was pretty discreet with it, and did not get any dirty looks. Either one, you can hold the puff until there’s no visible plumes.

Hey Black...which atty are you referring to about the tolerances? Not the NarEA i hope.

That's a great shot. I am a completely addicted photographer but I gave up doing birds because I don't have the lens for them...my max is 210mm :)

The sigma Sigma 170-500mm F5-6.3 DG lens is really sharp and it won't break the bank either. But there are other lenses I would buy before that one...wildlife is tricky and you need never ending patience :)

No, sorry Charlie. That wasn't clear was it. I was referring to the snapdragon.
I've not tried the narea yet. Like vape Muppet the narda as good as it was whistled. I do have the narca which is good but I prefer the o atty. I will give the naRA a try soon.
The salix is very good if your clone shopping. As are the airlab and convergent clones.
Apologies.

I totally understand that. I would DIY if I had the time and I wasn't addicted to my favourite juice vendors.

What exactly is different about the NarEA? I have the NarDa clone and it's great for flavour but the whistling airflow drives me crazy.

I put the NarDa and NarCa clones away because of the annoying whistling. They’re in my PIF box at this point. I read that filing down part of the airflow holes fixed it but I don’t have metal files and the desire when I have so many other great single coil RDAs

I have an Orion I got for out and about. Performs beautifully but it's tough to not have some cloud that it's tough for stealth. I found the Innokin EQ and now the EQs pods are a great little compromise. Yes, it's mtl, but the flavor is way better than I expected and I can definitely stealth it in public with very little effort. And it's cheap and the pods last a few weeks. It's hard to find a pod that both tastes ok and is stealthy enough for public places without getting the evil eye.
