The mechanical Luxotic is a solid mod. I use it every day. Love the ergonomics (yep I know sassy words to ) of it. Lies perfectly in the hand. Only issue is the harder bottle, but i'm used to it by now.

I've got the surface but its still in its box as I've had too many other toys to play with.

I find earthquakes exiting and exhilarating..except those noisy ones that you can hear approaching, and the shockwave passes with an almighty bang....that I hate.
About 4 years ago we had those slow rock and roll ones ( I guess about 50 over a 10 day period...felt like almost constant movement. All of them were slow and easy. Weirdest feeling. I got so used to the earth moving that sometimes I would stand and wonder...is it moving or isn't it, it feels like it is, but it isn't....very exiting times.

Earthquake was in the Mojave desert. Near a small unknown town called Ridgecrest. If you traveled from LA to Vegas you know Ridgecrest as it is a place to get gas before you get too deep into the desert. In LA it felt like a 4.2 but it was a 6.5 (if you were in the desert nearby)
A 4.2 is nothing if you were int he Sylmar one in 1971 (I was) Burbank is only about 12-15 miles from Sylmar and I was only 10 or so. It changed how I felt about the safety of the world. Then there was the Northridge one in like 1994. Very scary, You have not lived until you have felt the ground under you, that you could always count on to be there, rolling and buckling under your feet. Give me the tornadoes of the midwest or the hurricanes of the south any day over earthquakes.

There was a very tiny earthquake here years ago. It felt like a truck going by. It’s quite rare up here though. I guess wherever you live, there’s some kind of extreme nature. Tornadoes don’t scare me as long as I’m home and can hide in the basement, and I’ll take them over earthquakes and hurricanes, tsunamis or mudslides or whatever. We have them every year, 3-4 have buzzed right by my house. Blizzards are another matter. I lived through the one in ‘78 and I still get anxiety when it snows.

I forgot to mention I got this the other day, for all the O rings and miscellaneous that come with the RBAs. It should be sufficient for a small to moderate collection. I’ll probably put the coils and cotton bits in another container though, I never use them but they could be stashed for emergencies I guess.

Kind of chintzy, you have to have a grip on the whole box to wiggle the drawers in and out. For the money it’s okay though.

I had a failed long distance relationship once with a woman who lived in Riverside California. She would tell me often how she would never live in Florida because of the hurricanes. Her home shaking while on the phone with me was never a big deal though.

Finally got round to building my new Ataman V2 clone so that it would sit on top of the Ultroner Mini Stick....

I went with a SS coil 28 gauge 10 wraps which came out too 1 ohm. Cool vape but it should give the 18350 an easier time and obviously I won't be exceeding the 10 amp rating

nearly evening all. a wet commute. the journey is being improved immeasurably by pantera and a bottle of shiraz.
caliburn along with pods and my soulkeeper have taken flight. well, they've shipped at least. caliburn flying singapore post due to internal battery.
might wind some coils this weekend as i found spools of reasonably exotic wire while hurling things around the office (want to find the joker who 'fitted' the network cabling) in an attempt to prepare for the ghastly refurbishment. an invasion of even more numpties once it is done. did get two new monitors out of it.
think I've waffled enough.

It's not actually but I think it looks ok....it's kind of a good way to use the tall atties so that they don't end up being half a metre of the desk

Went to delete all the SALE emails, and accidentally went to the saved file. Almost had a heart attack when I saw all the purchase receipts (omg please tell me I didn’t order more shoes, clothes, yarn, another drone, nic, and four RBAs!) Because I have woken up to emails about stuff I’ve bought in my sleep, but never anything so extreme.

Taking a break from chores, on the porch while the dogs do their business, and suddenly all the house sparrows start screaming. They’re chasing Georgia. I think she’s gone after one of their fledglings. I’m trying to break her of this before she goes after a baby blue jay. Jays don’t mess around.

Yep got a FEV coming which should be good....One of the reasons I bought it was it was relatively unknown, loved the drip tip and it was titanium....

It's made in the Ukraine and the only build vids I could find were in Italian...I understand a bit so it was ok....and I just wanted to eyeball things like the coil level and wicking technique.

It's just what I needed for my foray into the RTA world again after all those years....it's wicking like a champ and produces a lovely smooth vape....i like it a lot although wide open it is a bit too restricted for me....

The thing is, with tornado's and hurricanes you can do what you need to do to take cover with the early forecasts. And then, at least with a tornado, it might miss you entirely. With an Earthquake there is little to no warning and it is getting everyone. The Sylmar one took freeways down on top of other freeways and trucks were just falling onto other cars below. The Northridge one caused so many fires it was like all of So Cal was on fire. Also gas leaks. Most people in So Cal just live with the fact that another is coming and it might devastate their life.
