I keep getting packages from Amazon addressed to somebody else with a similar name to mine, and with my address on them. They're never things that I would actually order, like HDMI cables and cell phone cases. I've been on chat 3 times with Amazon, and once on the phone (they called me). Each time, of course, they told me it was taken care of. But the packages keep coming, and we just put the contents in our "charity box", and run them down to the donation locations as it gets full.

Aaah, ok that's what I first thought of that there is some poor chap somewhere with the same name as me that keeps ordering stuff and it doesn't come because amazon keeps sending it to me

precisely the same has been happening to me for the last few months. very odd. 60% of it's makeup stuff...odd bits of electronics fill the other 40%. most of it worthless and useless.

Nice to hear that it's not just me then. First couple of things were absolute trash but this ultrasonic cleaner isn't. I'll have a think about it and maybe contact amazon again....bizarre

It's a real thing/scam that's been around a while. I haven't got the mystery boxes, but have heard about it on the local news. Here's a link about it.

Heey Guys.....strange story alert

About 5 weeks ago a small amazon package arrived it turned out to be a magnetic watch charger. I don't know what watches they work on but probably digital newby types. Anyway, I didn't order it and it didn't show up in either my Amazon or bank account. I decide that it was such a small amount of money that there was no point pursuing it.

About 3 weeks later another amazon package turned up....this time with a seriously cheap mosquito plug in trap..now we do get bothered by mozzies so i thought ah well maybe I clicked on Prime and had forgotten about it. Anyway, when I checked it was the same as before...not in my amazon account or bank.

This time I contacted amazon via their chat service and explained the situation to the guy who said I could keep the products and that he would look into it and contact me back when they had got to the bottom of the situation..At the moment I am still waiting to be recontacted.

Fast forward to today and it's happened again...this time an ultrasonic cleaner came. I have several other items I actually ordered so at first I thought it was one of those. It's only a 600ml unit but actually quite useful to me for atties etc. Extremely bizarre.

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them??? The guy i spoke to said it didn't happen at all so it is really weird. This time the product costs a little more than peanuts ie...30 quid

Always relatively small, and always showing evidence of having been cut open and retaped poorly if at all. The biggest was labelled as a T-shirt, but inside was just a thin square of cardboard that a T-shirt might have been wrapped around. Maybe half a dozen over the past year. Perhaps I'm an end-point in a really inefficient smuggling scheme.

Thanks Cats...yes this certainly would explain what has been happening although i'm not worried that my identity has been stolen. Also the item today is only being sold by one seller on Amazon so if I keep an eye on the product page I should see my name appear under a review....

It seems a bit far fetched actually because most people if contacted by a seller to review free products would gladly say yes....I would have thought..

Incidentally, I get sent a lot of different products from various vape companies and I also buy various things from China....

Anyway....thanks again...i'll report back if I see any reviews under my name

No one ever sends me surprise stuff from Amazon for free. Would be fun even if it was totally useless for me like a kid's Halloween costume. OK, that wouldn't be so fun, but you get the idea.

I dunno...if you think about it, there could be some fun things to do with a kids Halloween costume. For example, you could do a real world trial to see if they're really "flameproof"

BTW--you can make your very own real live flame thrower with nothing more than a piece of pipe, gasoline and phosphate laundry detergent.

I need to make a doctor appointment for my shoulder. Hoping they can do something shy of surgery for it. Getting hard to sleep it hurts so much.

I enjoyed Season 1 of Dark, haven't tried season 2 yet as I should really review S1 first to refresh my memory about who's doing what ... and when.

Sorry to hear about the shoulder. I had frozen shoulder a couple years ago and it sucked big time. A cortisone injection did help, and a fairly large gel-ice pack I could mold around the shoulder, and slowly working to get back range of motion. I got about 80% back, but it still can't take too much work before it acts up (even an average session with the guitar will start to bring pain). Hope you get some relief soon.

I enjoyed Season 1 of Dark, haven't tried season 2 yet as I should really review S1 first to refresh my memory about who's doing what ... and when.

I had surgery when the left one got frozen. It was bad by the time I consulted a doctor though. I could only lift it a few inches up from my side.

It was 80% better the day after surgery, and I did 6 weeks of PT after. I have full range, and it only hurts a bit now and then, like when it rains.

This one is not as bad, but living alone I simply can’t survive without being able to drive, and surgery would mean no driving for a couple weeks at least.

I started doing my old PT exercises a few days ago but I think it’s going to need steroids. Hopefully somewhere I can drive or get a ride to. If not, at least there’s a PT I can walk to.

Me, neither. I pretty much never get something for nothing. My mother and my sister do. I figure it's fair: I'm much more willing to spend money than they are; if they didn't get random free stuff, they'd never get anything, while I buy myself presents all the time.

It's very easy...mine has been done with 220 grit, 400, 600 and then 2 different types of buffing compounds. As far as getting the black off that was done with the 220 grit and it looked shiny already after that. Just put a piece of sandpaper face up on the table and then hold your Luna face down and sand back an forth until you remove all the black....continue with finer and finer grit sandpapers and your mod will look shinier and shinier...

Oh, I thought you used a sander! What you describe sounds like something I could do. It'll be tricky on the Luna-in-progress, however, since I've already buffed it through several grades of micro mesh and don't want to undo what I've done. Loads and loads of painter's tape and working at the edge of a table so I can sand just the rim might do the trick, I guess/hope. The virgin Lunas should be a snap, though.

Not even in the same ballpark as @charlie1465 , @Fidola13 , or @DeloresRose beautiful mods my blue True tank finally came in today. Iv'e been trying to find a tank that I really love in blue to match 2 of my favorite mods in blue, close but I think I missed the color match mark.
