I think it's a cool and useful hobby. My brother collects flashlights and has shown me some really interesting ones over the years. He also collects knives and utilitarian gadgets. Gave me a gorgeous pocket knife before I went to college and I lost it in the dorms. I miss that thing. These days he's more into pet spiders and snakes

I have something similar on my amazon wishlist. Going to get it for babydoll for Christmas. I know it's gross, but she has an obsession with popping my pimples and black heads - I think this will make the job easier.

THAT is very cool for them to do.

An Armageddon question for you as long as you're around. How do you get the L bar out to polish, especially the fire button contact point? It does come out, right? Otherwise how else could you insert say a new button?

Speaking of buttons, mine has a little squeak to it when released. I guess if I could pop the bar off and get to the button I could touch it p a little, maybe a tiny bit of vape gear safe lubrication. I'm not about to spray WD40 all over it.

I do love the feel of the Delrin. I imagine I'll be checking out whatever might be left in stock soon to add another family member or two if they're not already sold out.

The plows got my streets totally cleared, I’m so impressed! Didn’t get a chance to see how the beast does in the snow, but I did try out the remote starter for the first time. Now I see what all the fuss is about lol. They’ve only been out for what, 20 years or so, and I never thought I needed one, but it’s pretty nice

Got two Zeus and a Solo from FT today. The Solo has a scratch on the screen. Not happy about that, but I think it would be more hassle than it’s worth to open a ticket about it.

Funny you should mention disassembly because I was considering posting an unsolicited tutorial on it the other day when we were all talking about the mod. What I do is take a pair of needle nose pliers and grip that little black piece of Delrin by its edges. Then I gently pry it up and out while wiggling it from side to side.

It's a process but once you free it a little it does slide right out. Once it's free, it's a simple matter to completely disassemble the mod. That closed cell foam behind it keeps the tension and helps hold it in place. I just run all of the parts under warm water in the sink to clean them. When you're done, just insert the metal bar and button and then slide that little Delrin bar back in.
