@NolaMel HR's post got me thinking so I put a 6 wrap 2.5 mm ribbon in a different jk mini and it came out to .27 and only using 25-26w, vape is better than with the 8 wrap. The wattage is less than where my tri cores sit. Just to give a reference on the quad cores... AVS 6 wrap 2.5 mm ss tri cores come in around .38. Generally I vape them 24-27 watts depending on juice.

@chanelvaps I finally got around to throwing a different coil in the Solomon 3; ss flat 4mm, legs cut at 5mm. This is the sweet spot diameter and height for me but definitely going back to the tri core wire. Flat wire is nice in the minis but kinda bleh in the Solomon.

So far I still prefer my go to tri cores but am liking the flat wire. Admit I'd probably be happier with it if I'd break down and use tc with the flat.

@Skunk! Yes I'm finally dipping a toe into the mech world. Only took around 5-6 years lol.

Couldn't agree more, about the flat wire

    Miss @NolaMel ;)

From what I've found with flat wire - the less wraps the better. If it's going on a regulated mod, then completely ignore the resistance - and just do the minimum wraps needed for optimum flavour.

I'm using 80% unregulated mods now, but I'm still doing the same thing - 4 wrap or 5 wrap kanthal flat wire coils in my lil 22mm RDAs.

@Skunk! 's advice on my first flat wire build was spot on too - always space the wire slightly.

I have a conundrum- I have a 26650 battery in my original Thor stabwood. and the darn thing won’t come out AT ALL LOL! It use to fit but was slightly tight. A bang on my hand would shake it loose and out it would come.

Im wondering if it has to do with humidity altho stabwood supposedly isn’t effected by humidity or so ive been told.

I suppose in the worst case scenario I could charge via the usb hub and use a magnetic connector to reduce the chance of breaking it.

So any suggestions other than the one I came up with??
Option 1: Stick it in the freezer, see if that helps.

    Option 2: One of these:

Wow, small doesnt sum this up.
And yes hits like a freight train with the solid silver contacts.

I’ll give it a try y’alls way then :). Should be here Monday. I was going to run it on the Armageddon. I’ll have to check what batteries I have first. I’m anxious to get the Axial to an optimal vape. It’s really good now, but just a bit of build tweaking might make it WOW.

I have to say i'm surprised every time I try the same build on a higher voltage. Just built a flat wire coil (for the Aromamizer) and to my surprise it came to 1.0ohm. First I wanted to get rid of it, but then the other side of the head said...try it again man :D
I popped it in and ramped up the volts and WOW...it pops (as Mike likes to say ).
It ramps up instantly and hits the back of the throat like no other.
Just don't know how healthy it is...

Here is the generator but it fails after you enter the data at the link I posted earlier.

    ECF Signature Banner Generator

Edit Add: Never mind I see you found it. ;)
