I noticed that there's a lot of people who like to buy multiples of rda's and rta's and I was just wondering like what are some of the benefits? Is it so you have multiple colors to match things or so you can run the same RTA or rda on multiple different mods at the same time or am I over estimating the longevity of the average metal RDA?
I almost always but two of everything. I have a 38 yr old daughter that eventually gets one of something I own and like so there is that.
If I like it, I buy two more. One can always break so back ups... and then sometime back ups to the back ups. Scared of deciding I really love something and it is no where to be found anymore plays into things

Well I got me some Rayon. Want to give it a fair go. Is this good stuff?
View attachment 871203

Thats the gear, Its Cellucotton Rayon, which is sometimes confused with Cellucotton Cotton which they also make and often trips people up. The 100% Rayon fibers text or the SKU number on the box are the only way to tell them apart, as the boxes are otherwise pretty much identical

I know people who paid a small fortune to import some here to Australia, only to find they had the Cellucotton Cotton :(

Cheaper to buy in bulk off of Amazon, if you decide you like it, you'll get enough for a lifetime, and several friends lifetimes, but if you just want to test, 1m will do

Always worth asking when it comes to this stuff

I know i made up a table of known good Cellucotton SKU's for our home forum some time ago, to stave off the confusion, and heres what i posted at the time:

Known Cellucotton Rayon SKUs are:

SKU - length or weight
44040 - 1200 feet/365m
44043 - 3lbs/1.36Kg
44060 - 500feet/152m
44130 - 40feet/12m

Note: there is also reinforced Rayon, just to make it even funner, none of the above SKUs are other than full Rayon only

Note 2: Youre lucky, you have no import duties into NZ like we do here in Aus, so you can find good deals on Amazon for it....

https://www.amazon.com/Graham-Cellucotton-Beauty-Rayon-Regular/dp/B00RONH4NW/ref=sr_1_5?crid=39A5AZ62U3R1D&keywords=graham+cellucotton+rayon&qid=1582437101&sprefix=grahams+cell,aps,1982&sr=8-5

Note 3: Top rayon tip given to me (when i first tried it) by Australia's version of @Katdarling, gently reverse toot (blow) about a half dozen to a dozen times through your RTA/RDA etc to avoid the initial rayon taste

Note 4: Recently (though @Rossum will tell you he tipped folks off to them 5 years ago) a new unicorn variety of rayon was being posted about in the Rayon thread called Tidi Balls, though they are much more expensive and harder to find

Amazon.com: TIDI rayon balls

    Good morning shinies

May your Sunday be a fantastically relaxing one with sofas and afternoon tea and lots of comforting food :p

Good Morning Charlie, here's hoping you continue to get healthier day by day. I've been there and it takes a while to get over being in the hospital.

Yes, not to put to finer point on it but you lose so much muscle mass over a 6 week stay in hospital and despite having the exercise bike and walking machine I was totally knackered by the end of it. Of course the exercise went out of the window CV when I had the 40 degree temperatures.

My doctor says it normally takes three months to get back to normal as it happens little by little....we shall keep up the excersising and see how we go.

Thanks for your kind thoughts :)

A juvenile native Scrub Turkey has taken up residence in my backyard.

They were endangered and never seen in Sydney or nearby when I was a kid but the last decade or so has seen their numbers explode. They've adapted now and it's not uncommon to see the big ones crossing the road at the zebra crossing at the local shopping centre. Comical.

This guy has doubled in size in about 3 weeks. They never stop eating.

    Talking of scrub turkeys....

When i was growing up (in QLD), myself and friends used to stop at the local park before school to have a smoke, and one morning came across the corpse of a scrub turkey. My mates, ever up for hijinx, picked it up, took it into the loo, sat it on the seat lid, and stuck a *cigarette in its mouth

Sadly we couldnt wait around to enjoy its discovery....

    * cigarettes back then (early 1980's) were like $2.30 a pack of 25, in Australia now theyre $43.25 a pack of 25.
