in july it'll be 3 years off the smokes for me. yay etc.
if i'm going to treat myself (and it will be up to me as few others care about such things) there's only really one mod left on the list. sure there are others that i'd like to have. some mechanical...some regulated but the one i actually feel a need for (silly, i know) is a kennedy vindicator 25mm with the constant contact switch. black or brass.
knowing my luck they'll be out of production by the time i have the funds (if i ever have the funds).
excuse the rambling but it is a shiny.
right now i have a timesvape saint and dreamer sitting in front of me along with the vert (and plenty more on the shelf) so i'm not at all unhappy with my vaping lot but there will always be...the one.
oh and if you're thinking about using nasal irrigation spray on your eyes? don't.
That reminds me of this (which I feel like I've posted before):

where does tea fit in this taxonomy? ginger, lavender and the like count as minty?
I'm not sure about tea. I would imagine tea is pretty complex and would benifit from steeping for a while. Others would be much more helpful with that one. Try the random DIY thread.

Does anybody have any suggestions of how I can get this delrin back into this switch. I can summon my Thor-like power but it’s only enough to get it in. It refuses to sit and just pops out.
I’ve tried Vaseline, ejuice and I have that Vaseline-y juicy mess on a radiator to see if I can heat it up enough to budge (while being able to handle it)View attachment 877273
any ideas?

I’ve added another dimension! Delrins gone in the freezer

if I throw enough sh*t at the wall, something will stick, right?
Take the circlip off then the pin. Put the delrin back in then re connect the pin and circlip. Thats all I can think of looking at your picture....ignore me if it's not applicable :)

All of NZ went on full lockdown on Wednesday night. At the time the decision was made, we only had 100 people with confirmed cases. So it took a lot of balls for our PM (female ;)) to make that call, and I'm glad she did. We now have 368 cases. The whole situation is just :censored:ing scary, especially for all you guys in more populated areas

Yeah, good aye, stay safe AngeNZ

@virm tea does need a long steep. I use it with my ry4s and that needs a long steep too.

Good luck my friend ;)

Good morning shinies

Up early as the clocks went forward this morning and half past three was actually half past four so I told myself that's my normal broken night get up time....I don't know...does that make sense? No...oh well good morning anyway :D

Our postal service here in France has gone into a three day week. Only delivering Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A good thing really for the postmen and women as their job is pretty high risk when you think about it....

While we are on the subject of mechs - what else can you use to clean contacts?

I always used a white eraser on contacts or the pink eraser on the end of a no. 2 pencil. The pink eraser works good for tights spots, but you can fine the white ones they make for mech. pencils. Works great on PCB boards, memory chips, etc.

Yeah they're very exposed. Our post and courier services only do essential. I've ordered tobacco from the US and PG from here...not sure if i'll get it now. I seriously doubt that :(

morning all.
like @charlie1465 mentioned the clocks have sprung forward so it suits my horrible sleep patterns.
i use heavy duty scotch brite pads and pencil erasers for most contact cleaning. did use isopropyl alcohol until it was required for other applications.
the slow cooker will be employed today and oatcakes made (not in the slow cooker).
the rebirth RTA will probably be rebuilt as I've run out of the cbd liquid which it was being used for.
haven't looked at the news. won't be looking at the news.

A very early good morning shiners. I hope everyone is following the 6 ft separation rule for Covid 19, my grandsons best friends father is on a ventilator after being exposed to the virus. He lives about 7 miles away from me. I truly hope all of you are washing your hands with soap and hot water very frequently, please stay indoors if possible and limit exposure with anything outside of your home.

Sorry to hear this Don. Brings it home to you when it's that close. How old is he? Does he have pre-existing medical stuff going on?

    Hope that he pulls through.

Well, I'm off to make a coffee and walnut cake...my favourite and it's something to keep me occupied too. Have a relaxing Sunday :)

He's a young guy in his late 30's I think. My wife and I just found out late last night that the hospital put him on a ventilator. I again implore everyone to take the precautions that the health experts recommend. This is the 2nd close to home incident I've had with Covid 19 the first being a iron worker at a job site of mine testing positive for the virus.

Until you get a scale, just count drops for SFTesters. If you can get some small disposable pipettes from a pharmacy, they work as well.

I'm using a cheap jewellery scale - your knitter/baker is correct you want it down to 0.01g. The other thing is how long before it auto-shutoffs - the longer the better, in case you get distracted while pouring/measuring ;)

@virm forgot to mention if you buy a scale that you can plug in you usually don't have to worry about the auto shut off.

    Mo-oh-ho-hoa-rning!

thanks all_ gonna look for a plugable calibratable scale tooday.. emptied another 10ml into another, gonna try mixing a couple tea mixes, no cardamom here yet but there's lavender, ginger and mint_ what ya'll think; marshmallow or cactus to smoothen, or leave the testers unenhanced first?
