Do you split it between different types of attys i.e rayon for rtas, cotton for drippers etc?
I switch off between rayon and cotton in everything. If I use rayon in an RTA or rda one week the next time I'll use cotton. Keeps me on my toes with wicking. :D

Although, in the Creek rda's I've found Mavaton's cotton holds more juice than rayon. They have really deep wells that can hold up to 2ml's (depending). Those are the only ones getting a regular diet of cotton. All the rest fare well w/both. ;)

Your picture gave me my memory workout for the day: I looked at it and said, "I know that mod. I have that mod. Two of them, in fact. What the hell is its name?" and in only a few seconds the faulty device I call my brain (which I currently pictures as a rickety computing machine from the fifties) triumphantly spat out "Tribeaut!" I gave my head a congratulatory pat.
50's computing ... all that amazing power!!!

Yeah I'm sure that I want a rebuildable, I've looked around and saw that I could just buy premade coils themself, and would only need to learn how to apply the cotton to it. I just want to go for as low ohms as I can, and my current tank has a low of 0.26 i think, but the mod can go to 0.06 so im willing to try that out
I would suggest learning on an RDA. It is easier to build on one. Wicking an RTA can be a bit finnicky sometimes. I would still pick up an RTA while selection is still good.
Honestly wrapping the coil is the easiest part of building. You can get a 15 foot spool for the cost of a pair of coils. If you are doing low ohm coils you can wrap a coil with about 4 inches of wire.
As someone said earlier, super low ohms aren't necessarily the best option on a regulated mod. My favorite build for clouds is a dual (32×4/40) FC. 6 wraps .14 ohms. Low but no where near .06...Hits hard at 70W. but can handle well over 100W. I have found I get better performance from wire with a higher number of thinner core wires but YMMV. You will have to experiment until you find what works best for you.
As far as RDA suggestions go, I would reccommend the top loading type such as the Dead Rabbit, Drop Dead, Drop, or Yup. They are easy and fun to learn on and IMO perform really well. I still use my DRV1 That I have had for over 2 years. I got a DRV2 recently and I am very happy with it as well.

Thinking about getting a Typhoon4. My love for the OG Taifun was intense as it was my first rebuildable and serious tank. I followed it up with a few others the GT2 and more. Anybody have any thoughts on GT4?
I love the design of the GTIV. Had my eyes on it since it came out. Maybe, someday.

It has great reviews.

Love the Leto 2 titanium mech too!!! Very classy w/the GTIV.

Omg, Fortran in college, 1980. Write a program, spend a couple hours typing (punching) the cards. Take a 3 inch stack of cards to be processed, wait an hour in the hallway, only to get the results: Syntax error on card 4. Go back to step 2, correct and repeat. That was fun!

Spoken like a tried and true General in the Rayonati Army.

Switched from Sally's to the TIDI rayon balls (969162). All the thanks go to @Rossum (TIDI pioneer). :thumb: Very clean, near zero break-in time. Best I've used to date.

The bag is the size of a bed pillow. Don't think I'll ever run out.

I still use cotton too.

Mavaton's Select Gold and Carolina Blend by cottonman. He is a very real cotton farmer and all around great guy. A total blast in phone talk too, always. Best cotton I've ever come across. Lasts 10 days minimum.

Ok, ok ... back to Rayon then. :p
Never tried TIDI But I do have 6 bags of dm Viskose balls that I use regularly. I like it better than Sallys even though it's more work.

I still use cotton as well in RDAs with really shallow wells like the B2K. ;)

goodbye
Hey all! I have a real special treat to share with ya'll today, especially for the Billet Box fans. A good friend of mine here at ecf @BamaChris, that I go back a long way with, has built and opened a new website for Billet Box lovers. Chris and I go all the way back to 2004, when I was into pocket pc's/pda's, and he had the premier forum for them. It was called Aximsite, and was devoted to the Dell Axim pocket pc's. Well, pocket pc's have long since been retired, as has Aximsite, but Chris has had several other tech websites over the years, and even has the distinction of being named an Microsoft MVP. He has also written tech articles for big tech magazines, including PocketPC Magazine, and iPhone Life magazine. Chris has been an Electronics Technician for over 20 years.

Chris quit smoking and started vaping 6 years ago, and became a very enthusiastic vaper, and even got into vaping activism. He has volunteered at his local vape shops, and helped many others come in to the vaping world. He is mostly into squonking and high end RTAs and RDAs, having most all of the Hussar products and a few Monarchy RDAs. Earlier this year, he got his first Billet Box, and immediately caught the bug. He now has 5 Billet Boxes, with his newest one just arriving last Friday. He also has all the accessories that go along with the Billet Box trip down the rabbit hole. He decided he wanted to share his enthusiasm for the BB with many others, so he could help them along their way to Wonderland. He would also welcome input from anyone else willing to share their enthusiasm, experience, and knowledge with their BB journey.

Chris is a really great guy, who puts his all in to anything he does. I've been to his new BB website, and it looks exciting, with the potential to turn in to the default destination for all things Billet Box. So, without further ado, may I present to you, Chris' new Billet Box website.

Welcome to Billet Box Info

Please contact Chris @BamaChris directly if you'd like to help add to this great new resource for all things Billet Box.

Disclaimer: I do not work for Chris. We are friends. He is not a vendor. His website was created solely for the convenience, information, and education of those interested in finding out more about the Billet Box.

@Brewdawg1181, Fortran rocks!!! :D I was on the systems engineering side. Mainframes and large scale networks. Lot's of Earthly travels, but much fun.
Yeah, I guess...it really was a great building block for understanding how computers work. But I got along much better with Basic. I wish I'd had better foresight- I'd have stuck with computer sciences if I'd have known they'd rule the world. But then, I just wanted to be lazy, have fun, get out of college, and make money though. I didn't even realize I had an aptitude for IT until early 90's, but by then another path was chosen.

And in the vaping twilight zone ... o_O ... I received a Swag v1 today from vaporL.

I ordered one from vaporL last August. After two months I ended up getting a refund and no mod. Go figure. FF to today, there are no charges at PP for this. Hmmm.

Looks like a freebie to me!!!

    Morning shinies ;)

I'm a disgrace: I got stuck in a rut months ago (Galaxies, Gate, Doggy, KFL19, and KFL+v2), and almost all of my purchases are sitting untouched in the vape bureau. It's embarrassing.

You are perfect, and have plenty of time to play with your vape bureau

Just for the sake of sharing, here is my collection of Billet Boxes so far :)
I need to take an updated photo, I changed out those messed up stickers and changed up the Fawkes already.
I am 5 weeks into the Billet Box Rabbit Hole and I have 5 2020s.

You did an excellent job Chris (and see ya brought along HB). :thumb:

Wow, it is extensive with much info and many resources. Best BB site I've seen.

The Good: Early 80's and Bell Canada would send a pre-punched card (IIRC) with your bill. I can't remember exactly, but with 1 extra keypunch, they owed me money ;)
Take a 3 inch stack of cards to be processed
Or in my case, drop the deck on the ground. And for those you didn't like, rearrange their sequence.
