I've got both something a little bit more restrictive... actually I'm having a hard time describing it because I don't have anything that is exactly like what I want. I'm pretty sure if I almost close the airflow on the destiny especially that it would be the right air flow but I need something that that is normal rather than air flow shut off if that makes any sense
Hmmmm... Maybe the Dvarw MTL FL clone that comes with 10 airflow inserts. I'm running one with the largest insert (2x2mm) w/a .2Ω coil as a DL right now. The way it's currently set up it hits like the Destiny at about 25% airflow. Makes me wonder how open and airy the DL version is.
Blotto mini rda's can be pretty restricted at about 1/2 the airflow. They're dual coil but work better as single imo. Honeycomb airlfow ftw with this one.

I am planning on buying another RTA and wanted to ask you knowledgeable folks your opinion. In regards to clones, is SXK or YFTK considered a better brand?
Been Wondering the same thing. Do far all I've gotten is they are different clone manufactures but what is the difference between them. Posted a similar question at FastTechForum

    Morning shinies ;)

Unfortunately the only Ulton Dvarw I saw on FT was the 16mm version. While I have also heard good things about Ulton clones, 16mm is too small to be practical for my use.

Maybe the Hellvape MD RTA? Apparently you can get a tight RDL from it, as well as MTL

The other day I bought a whole truckload of vaporesso GT coils well what I consider a truckload considering commercial coils last me 6 weeks I bought 10 packs of coils which is only 30 coils but if you consider that that last me a month plus each coil that's a lot of months and considering I have RBA heads that fit the tanks I decided instead to get a swag ttwo because I like the way the tank looks and it's a smaller tank that takes the coils....I went searching for a super restrictive direct RTA and ended up buying a swag 2 kit LOL but I also got some Vinci pods and some more freaking coils and spent less than $50 so I'm not really complaining. Somehow I've circled all the way back to commercial coils and even Vincis I honestly wish I had discovered these Vinci's before I bought a lot of the stuff I have because I would be perfectly happy with a hundred of these coils and five of these devices and maybe 10 less mods... that being said the hellvape MD is exactly the thing that I was trying to look for.. so that's probably coming next week LOL if I don't get distracted and accidentally by a DNA device.

If anyone is looking for a single 18650 device with a max of 80w and is small wrapped in leather and works great I just posted a review of the OBS CUBE-S. Gorgeous little device with every corner or edge rounded.

Just testing. I'm strictly Billet now, no squonks.
You might want to look at this: $11.04 SXK Krma Styled RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - 316 stainless steel / 22mm diameter / w/ BF pin at FastTech - Free Shipping

Use FASTTECH and it takes 50% off; $5.52 with free shipping for a high flavor, pretty leak resistant, RDA is decent.

To convert for non-squonking use, on the underside of the RDA there's a small hole with an Allen screw in it. The rda comes with the Allen wrench of the right size. Remove the little Allen screw and put in into the hole in the 510 connector (it's threaded to take that plug).

I run virtually the same coils and I run them at 22watts. 40 is a bit high imo. And make sure you wick it a bit looser than the OG. The open peek chimney causes the top of the cotton to dry out.

They do need a regular rewick:)

I've been running my SXK Dvarw DL FL at 40w since @Pigs post. No issues. A DL FL with the default AF insert can handle it fine. ;)

Charlie, please forgive me, but what do you mean when you say "The open peek chimney..."??? I am not understanding, sorry. :)

Here is my SXK Dvarw DL FL deck with top cap...
    DLflDeckTopCapCR.jpg
The wick is fully saturated with juice. Same wick since Monday. My wick is on the tighter side in the coil.

The sxk has a slightly different design than the OG and has been giving me some wicking issues. It doesn't have the ' never forget' top chimney cap.
I was comparing SXK DL FL parts with the OG parts at KHW Mods and I don't see any design differences between the two. I think SXK did a great job cloning the DL FL.

You and I have the SXK DL FL and mine has the 'never forget' top cap. It's installed on the PEEK chimney here...
    DLflDeck+TCcr.jpg
A DL FL without the chimney top cap would flood. I'll bet your top cap is installed on the inside of the tank section. Like this one on my spare DL FL...
    DLflTank+CapCR.jpg
Next refill have a look. Take a little flat blade screw driver and pull it out. Lube the o-ring on the top of the top cap. Go heavy with VG like my previous pic. Then when you remove the deck the top cap will come with it. If it doesn't replace the lower o-ring on the top cap. :)

With Exocet wicking you don't want to push the tails too far back into the chimney. The wick tails should be sticking out of the PEEK chimney juice holes ~1mm. :)

I bought one of the recommended generic dvarw mtl fl clones, and yesterday the SXK MTL FL top fill arrived (the ones that's $12 at FT - the $5 part is just a replacement part for the plastic tank body section).

It's up to snuff, good sxk machining as usual, fits fine, JFC works well (spin the 510 mouthpiece to rotate the JFC tank cover).

Only "gotcha" is being careful on wicking. I'd been lazy on take 1, the wicking was sticking out a bit too much from the wick ports (I should have trimmed it flush). Turning the jfc nudged the wick back in, made a small hole, so it leaked [emoji3] Operator error, not a design issue.

I'll do take 2 wicking today, test it on an Armour Pro then move it to the Mixx. Overall I expect it to be a two thumbs up part, I'm really hoping they also come out with the top fill for the dl fl.

Thanks SMT but my wicking is keeping up just fine. Like I said this is not an issue with dry hits. The vape is saturated. Also I'm wicking the v3 identically and it's flavour is always great.

After my last post I opened it up again and found what looked like tiny flakes of a dark green plastic around the edge of the chimney. Needed a 3x glasses to see them properly. No idea where they came from but if they got on the coil they may be the culprit.
Hopefully it was just the tiny flakes of green plastic.

Thanks Charlie. 40W is just fine for the DL. Interesting note about the peek chimney causing the FL to dry out.

Here's my wicking for the DL FL

Your wick looks totally awesome. I've been running at 40w since I read and replied to your post. No issues at all. In the photo I posted my wick isn't drying out. It's rather moist with juice.

I think the SXK Dvarw DL FL rocks!!! :D

IMO they're about the same. Some people prefer one over the other. I don't think it makes a difference.

I agree with Katya. Wouldn't be surprised if they're all made at the same factory. SXK, YFTK, Ulton, Coppervape, ST and the nonames. :D
