ya'll all knew I'm one of a kind.
m-placing-you-on-endangered-species-list-because-baby-youre-45056626.png

I must be the only non tootlepuffer, that only uses single round wire

I still use single round wire from time to time. 26g ss316L. Occasionally 24g. I put the kanthal away for emergency use only.

And while I can tootle with the best on ECF I do jack that wattage up but never beyond 40w. Too afraid >40, tinkin' my face would turn all sorts of purple's.

I was in my 20’s then too... based on pictures of my monster shoulder pads and frizzy do, I’m thankful most of the 80’s are a blur.

sporting spiky usually purple hair (early 80’s)
Please post one of your photos with all of the above in it.

I dare you. ;)

Corporate job brought me to the lovely perm  and bow tie scarves with my shoulder pad suits (ewwwww). Can I go back in time and slap some fashion sense into myself????
No going back in time until you post that photo, Corp Momma. Don't worry we won't make fun of the soccer mom minivan.
And I do remember, so the custom van Himself bought will do.

You brought all this to the attention of Shiny-peeps. Now we want to see those pics. :D

Some say u feel the decate of when you used to be a teenager that it was the "best" and that's happens cause it's nostalgi to you...

But I was born in the late 80s sooo i didn't actually experience them but i really like those times when I see pics or movies i feel nostalgic in the same way as I feel about the 90s that was actually my decate of growing up...sooo I think it was awesome

But ok nowdays it's still ok....we got VAPES :p
I can't help but to feel the 80's were the coolest and especially in SoCal with Hollywood and all right there. The concerts coming into L.A. were phenomenal, the club scene was hopping. I saw both Guns and Roses and Van Halen (then called Mammoth) at local clubs as they were up and coming.

Cool. I'll be waiting for your take on the Arise.

The tolerances on my authentic SQuape Arise are, how do I say this, Swiss tolerances. :) Which is to say the Arise is built like a very fine, and elegant, Swiss watch. Rotating the tank section, closing off juice flow, to get to the deck is easy. Perfect tolerances IMO. Nothing is too tight and nothing is on the loose side. All o-ring tolerances are perfect.

The combined juice flow/airflow control/chamber release work flawlessly. I've vaped 80vg/20pg, 70/30 and 50/50 DIY juices in it and have had zero issues. I've had the JFC wide open with each of those and not had any problems. I even took the JFC down to a trickle and had no dry hits.

Filling the tank section is a breeze. Close off the juice flow by rotating the tank section to the "0" position. Then simply rotate the top cap and fill.

One bit of advice I would offer is to start your coil position lower than you would think, or normally go, with a bottom AF design. 1.5mm above the AF give or take a bit. I knew that before my Arise arrived as one of the folks at StattQualm suggested that to me in an email exchange. In the Squape FB group, and on other sites, people complained about a "strong throat hit". Easily resolved by lowering the coil. Easy to do as well, even with an installed coil and wick in-place.

For those who like a strong throat hit positioning your coil, 2mm give or take, above the AF will totally do the trick. I've tried several coil positions.

Coiling and wicking on the Arise are super easy and a breeze. And that is why I would recommend the Arise to anyone brand new to building an RTA. You are not going to find one this easy IMO. And that comes from years of experience building on Kayfun's. As @Opinionated said here not long ago "once you learn to build on a Kayfun you can build any RTA around". I wholeheartedly agree, I learned on an old Kayfun lite.

IMHO, the Arise is without any doubt in my mind superior, in every way, to many RTA's I own and love. Y'all know how I love my Kayfun's. One month and a few days in, the Arise has removed the mighty Kayfun's from their throne. And that is no easy task. Top spot, easily.

I'm glad to see this  And it's about bloody time your Kayfuns got dethroned, as a Kayfun lite was your first RTA right? Though you haven't tried a Brunhilde MTL RTA yet :sneaky:

How ya gonna put a towering masterpiece like this on the radio?
    But they did...

Believe it or not during the 70's and into the early 80's here FM station WZMF, long gone, used to play all sorts of long songs from those days and full LP's. They rarely had commercials.

For example, it wasn't unusual for them to play Close To The Edge by Yes followed by all of PF's DSOTM. Also one of my fav's Frank Zappa received his fair share of air time. They played all the great music from those days. The Stones, Nektar, Allman Brothers, Led Zep, the Who, CSNY, Santana, Joplin, the early Genesis... on and on. Great times.

Let's put it this way the Kayfun's now have mini thrones on each side of his royal majesty, all rise for... the Arise. ;) Yep, an old KFL, from 2013.

A freakin' Brunhilde??? OMG... Ange, what are trying to do rile up your neighbor.

NVM, I see he's WIDE awake...

    Not yet, but he Will;)
Yes your dear majesty, I will, but please don't hold your breath. But yeah, a Brunhilde is in the works. Soon, real soon.

Tell you what, you buy a Dvarw or a Kayfun and I will buy a BunnyHidle.
    Absolutely, will. :D

@Nailz did your Mechlyfe Paramour SbS ship yet?

I just got a tracking number today for mine. So, it's journey home has begun. :)

And... because I cannot own a mod which has multiple names or personalities. Refresher = MECHLYFE x Fallout Vape x Mrjustright1 Paramour SBS

Mine WILL simply be named Annie, one personality, 1 name. She will grow up in a normal environment. Well, as normal as an SMT environment could possibly be, IOW not too. :D

Yes I got the shipped email this morning  I've been checking it every day for the last 3 days, expecting the 'expected ship' date to change, as it normally does, so was really surprised by the email this moring.

The name is crazy, sure a mouthful when someone asks what it is

Mine will be known as BURT :D

Cool. I wanted to try the 3 hole air disc and this was a good time to do that. Here are some photo's. Not sure what views you were after so you're getting a few.

Side view, to show coil height. It's at 1.5mm above the AF. Also I install my coil legs up to make raising and lowering the coil easy. Legs up = counterclockwise. (Or anti-clockwise for Ange :D).

Another tip, slop some VG, or juice, on the deck o-ring. That will make rotating the tank section for a refill or to get to the build deck easy.

Mavaton's Select cotton tucked into the wells. I trim the tails to the edge of the deck. I used Tidi rayon last and I do like switching off.

Arise on the Mono SQ DNA 75C and vaping nicely.

So my shiny peeps I have something to share. I have been putting of an upcoming review just because I needed to build an RDTA (bare in mind I have never build before) watched some YouTube videos (not many out there yet). I gather the nerve and I did...in saying so my first wicking was to tight sooooo I burned the cotton a bit  in the trash it went. So I said to myself "don't give up" and I tried again with, of course less cotton, and so far no burnt taste so I will call it a win and my first successful build ever

    I feel like a champion :lol::lol:

Do you want a side view pic of the wick tails before or after they're tucked in? Or both?

Here is a top view of the wick tails trimmed, all fluffed, and ready to be tucked in. I didn't post it before cause I thought @Pigs might not need it. Should have just posted it with the rest.
    Arise5.jpg

BTW those tails are ~1.5mm extended from the edge of the SS deck and you can see that best with the lower tail. And yes, I did measure the tails in case I was asked. I made them a little longer because I was filling the tank with 50/50 DIY juice. With 50/50 a little more wick IMO is better because 50/50 is thinner vs 80vg/20pg.

When I use thicker 80/20 I trim the tails right up to the edge of the ematalised aluminium (tan part of the deck) and simply lay the tails into the juice wells.

Per StattQualm, never jam, or pack, the wick tails in the Arise deck, lightly placed is perfect for optimal performance. But as with all things vape, YMMV. Whatever works, works. ;)
