I can’t remember the name of the one I have. It’s similar to this style, but the posts are changeable from 1-3.5mm. I will say, Clapton is easier to wind than that tiny round wire- at least I think so- but nothing is weirder than winding flat. I cannot get a coil that doesn’t look like a freak show with flat.

Watched the video a couple months back and tried doing the coils myself.
Couldn't get them turns all lined up,they were always overlapping each other, after about 2 meters of wire wasted i called it a day,put them thingys in the box and for the sake of my mental stability forgot they ever existed.

No burnt taste in my case. I get darkened tips on the edges of my wick in the Dvarw DL sometimes. Apologies for the blurry photo but you can see its the top/edge that sometimes gets this darker colour. The wick through the centre of the coil isn't burnt. Charlie's speculation that it might be heat transfer from the chimney cap sounds plausible to me.

Need to be honest with you. Saw the photo in your post before reading. I thought "what is a tiny slice of bundt cake doing on Pigs Dvarw deck".

Since I got no vape related stuff (apart from tobacco :p) to talk about, I might as well share some beautiful things..
I got ....ty weather to grow vegetables, but this Russian kale surprises me every year. It grows into a proper tree.

Nice kale.

Your 2nd photo looks like some kind of flowering artichoke. The flower is awesome.

ETA: Is it a cynara cardunculus? That's what I found on google and it looks very much like yours.

First pic looks like a giant broccoli with multiple personality disorder.
Sorry that was the first thing that popped in my mind :lol:

Second pic looks like a punk sex pistols listening, leather jacket wearing and Dr Marten stomping artichoke.

Hello Shiny's
Jks are out for delivery. Discovered I had a 5.00 discount at Liquid Barn when getting a link for someone so ordered a spare 501LB scale for the stash. Shipping was a ridiculous price but still ended up with a decent deal. Doubtful I'll order from them again as I don't use them for flavors.
I am going to be leaving so many points unspent. Since they stopped allowing one to use points and a discount I have let mine stockpile. IN so many places.

I get my second shot on Wednesday. I only had a sore arm from the first one. It sounds like second may be a bit tougher. I'm not looking forward to it, but at least y'all gave me warning.

Wishing you the best, hope it all goes well.
My second one is in May and same as you i am not looking forward to it...

I’m checking 2-3 times a week to see if I’m eligible yet. We’re still doing 65+ and high risk. My daughter qualifies because of a heart condition and she’s signed up, waiting for her appointment. I’m not concerned about side effects, but it’s going to be a long drive - opposite end of the county is the only place to get the shot. I just hope if I do have a reaction it doesn’t happen before I can get home.
there are plenty of places near me to get the vaccine but they are still doing 65+ and high risk does not come in until after that. All states set their own guidelines

OK, so what's up with that? Burnt wicks? With cotton only? How about rayon? I must admit that I haven't been playing with my Dwarvs lately, but those posts made me worried. Which wicking method is preferred if one wants to avoid scorched wicks?

No, you don't need to be worried. My DLs aren't burning wicks and I'm running 5 of them. Snow White/@Redbird11 has a gazillion on the go. From what @charlie1465's said, I think he's just talking about one in particular?

I've never had an issue with scorched wicks in the Dvarw (knock on wood) no matter what method I've used. And I have the wicking skills of a drunk baby. So I'm sure you will be fine.

And in life's great irony.....

@DeloresRose This morning I had perfect photography conditions. A neighbour's huge kale field, an irrigator in the background and pink clouds above the mountain ranges.

And I inadvertently ballsed it up completely. Every pic was way under exposed - which I never realised until I downloaded them  And!! when I put the lens cap back on, I noticed Luna fluff on the lens

Seriously? I couldn't wait to get my second dose. Like getting out of jail... You'll be fine. Even the bad outcomes are not much worse than a very short-lasting flu. Good luck! :thumb:

Thanks, Ange. We're on pins and needles here. I don't want to worry about misbehaving RTAs... :)
