I agree with most of that. My 510 is rock solid (for the moment), but to be fair it didn’t get much use because the dani came shortly after. The up and down buttons ARE reversed, which is quite bothersome. Usually I can find a video review to help figure things out. I just didn’t get that far with it. Neither it or the Mixx stirred me up enough to search.Calling all Paramour users! @Nailz , @charlie1465 , @ShowMeTwice @NolaMel
Is there a way to flip the screen? (not in the manual) The way mine came, the up button is down and the down is up. I know I'm in the southern hemisphere but c'mon!
First impression about the 510 is that the actual 510 pin (not the whole assembly) is very springy and even wobbles side to side with easy pressure. It's reading a 0.58 Ohm build at 0.62 Ohms which isn't disastrous but is a bit annoying.
I love the small size with a 21700. Pretty light weight. Threads on the battery cap are a bit crunchy but not terrible - think Pico 75W.
First impression is that it's firing a bit hot but that could be because of the resistance reading.
The placement of the up and down buttons is right in the way of my ring finger. Will need to lock those for sure with the way I hold it.
Not in the same league as the Mixx imo. Not even close.
Only had it for an hour so these are very much first impressions.
Guess what? Was gonna refill my KFL19 and my Paramour 510 is loose again.Mine came loose again, I glued it the 2nd time, and it still has a little play, it's been put away for now, it looks really good, just not made really good unfortunately, it's well over priced for what it is, glad I got it on a good sale.
Guess what? Was gonna refill my KFL19 and my Paramour 510 is loose again.Gee, that didn't take long.

I was thinking of installing a lock washer between the 510 and the nut. Need to do some solder work in order to get a washer on the 510. Doable.
Do you recall if there is a washer installed on yours? I'm like 99.9% certain the lack of a lock washer is the problem with the 510. Design flaw.
I mentioned this in the Evolv-ing thread. BillW50 responded, besides the washer, he suggested trying some Loctite or even nail polish. I have Loctite. I'll try that first. For now the Paramour is back in its box narrowly missing the trash can on its way.
It is a way overpriced mod. And I'm also happy I got it on sale.
There is no way of flipping the screen that I know of. I just tried all possible button combinations. I couldn't find a flip screen option.Calling all Paramour users! @Nailz , @charlie1465 , @ShowMeTwice @NolaMel

That sucks man. I'm sure that is pretty disappointing about the 510.Guess what? Was gonna refill my KFL19 and my Paramour 510 is loose again.Gee, that didn't take long.

Right on. Exactly. You spend more money on a better quality mod like a Dani or an authentic BB and you never regret it.
Very true.Affording it is not always easy and often impossible but forking out lots of 50 to 100 dollar amounts for mods that don't last is getting very old.
I use 24awg ni80 at 50 watts. ~7ml per dayOk straw poll time:
For those of you who build your own setups (wind from spools or buy pre-wound coils but not drop -ins) roughly how long does each coil last you?
Do they last days/weeks/months ?
I stretch my dual core claptons out to at maybe a month or so.
When I wind a new coil and get that fresh blast I sometimes think I should change them more often.
any thoughts??
I roll my own coils. Here are a few RBA's and their current coil life.Ok straw poll time:

Not really. Very similar vape to nichromeI don't use TC much. Is there an advantage to titanium for wattage mode over other wire types apart from longevity? Sometimes I use SS wires but mostly Ni80.
What did the guy at AVS tell you?I follow what they guy at AVS told me as far as maintaining coils
Here is an AVS webpage he told me to checkout. That page has much of what he told me over the phone. What did the guy at AVS tell you?
I dry burn, rinse then brush my claptons/aliens. Is there a recommended technique for long life?
The up/down buttons are reversed on your Paramour? Or your Dani SbS?I agree with most of that. Same here.On my Paramour, when the buttons are facing me, the left button is down and the right is up.
On my Paramour when I am looking at the screen horizontally, the top button on the Paramour turns the values UP and the bottom button turns the values DOWN.Same here.
So if you are looking at the numbers on the screen horizontally, the top button on the Paramour turns the values down and the bottom button turns the values up.
Reverse of most setups. Top button normally turns the values up and bottom button turns values down.
Sorry to disagree again but mathematically speaking that doesn't prove causation only correlation....you need a much bigger sample size to say what your saying....But I'm making a different point. I don't know how many posters here bought Paramours, but if, say, thirty did, and three found fault with the mod, that means 10 percent of the total number of mods purchased had problems. That is not a good record.
