Yes, just remove that silicone bit. It is there to reduce the holding capacity. Nobody really wants that!
I use 3mm coils in mine but might try a 2.5 soon to see. Only odd thing about the MRs is the direction of the top cap is the opposite of my other RTAs. Takes getting used to.
With the fat bubble tank I use that ugly rubber band for safety in case the mod falls over. I am still using the screws to tighten the coils but may change to grubs eventually. I cut my coil legs at 3.5 height but some cut them a bit longer.
Can't help with wicking as I use rayon but I have had zero wicking or dry hit issues.
Cool thanks for the info.
Yeah i tried searching for the video where it explained that silicone bit but couldn't find it so just wanted to make sure.
My friend from the Vape shop never seen one of these attys so he told me to drop by that way he can take a look at it and maybe order a couple and see if they sell.
Offered to put in a new coil in for me for the hassle of going over there so hey less work for me and i get me a new coil for free
Will post a pic once i get it all setup.
Looking at the functions of the Grus Mod and it seems i can't lock the fire button...huge downer, not a fan of turning mods off and on but oh well.
Read the manual and the only thing you can do is lock the wattage but the fire button is still unlocked.
There is small fluctuation when it comes to Ohms thou, using my Asmodus Colossal (my Destiny RTA) it reads 0.24 ohms, put the same atty on the Grus and it reads 0.26 ohms, meh difference is so small it's nothing to worry about but it does seem a bit odd doesn't it?
Oh yeah forgot one more thing, never realised this before but the Grus doesn't have a volt meter.
In my case it's not an issue since i vape between 30 to 40 watts so yeah not a problem for me.
But i do like the mod, build quality is good, feels solid and heavy just the way i like it.
