Just for the record ;) ... I never said I was for, or against, using sweeteners in DIY. My previous posts very clearly reflect that.

Sweeteners are a tool. Every tool has its place.

Everyone has their preferences. Great. Perfect. Wonderful.

I thought Ford vs Ferrari was a good movie. I don't drink alcohol, so I'll leave the whisky decision up to you. :D
It was a good movie. I'll pretty much watch anything with Christian Bale in it. He's one of my favorite actors.

I’ve been mixing since 1/2014. One thing for sure, as we’ve discrete often, is people taste things differently.
I like sweet in juice that’s meant to be sweet. I gave up on the Random mixing thread after being harassed every time I mentioned sweeteners. But then I also grew frustrated with certain people trying to make candy, bakery, and similar flavors complaining they were too sweet! Seriously... pie is sweet. Pie flavors are going to be sweet even if you add no SS to them.

I have juice that is not, as a food, sweet. To those I add not-sweet flavors rather than ones that lean toward the candy version of that flavor. And no SS.

But I do add SS to my bakery, not because my mix is bad or I don’t know what I’m doing. I know what I like. I make it to suit me. It makes more sense to add a few drops of what I want than 8 kinds of fruit that hint at sweet while sending my other flavors sideways. SS is a stable additive. Unlike a lot of flavors, it doesn’t fade or get weird over time. Stability is a huge thing for me.
Ditto....exactly. The custards and creams especially when they've got tart fruit in them do need a bit of sweetener but I try and use it as low as I can because if the coil gunking issue. It's mainly on my fruit only where I'll not use it because for one fruit is naturally sweet and tart at the same time and two I'm a hater of early coil gunking which doesn't happen in my fruits...they'll go for ages.

I totally agree that it's down to your own specific pallette. I suspect that I'd find some of @ShowMeTwice mixxes too light...but I'd give them a go. How about it SMT?? Post a mix....no MF though as I don't have any :D

I've been stuffing up photos left, right & center. Mainly over/under-exposed and any other mistake I could make  I got one I love from yesterday:

Apologies for the lack of kale
Lovely and you're getting better and better. If you've got PS try swapping the sky with the second foreground. Love the obelisk/fence post and the fence in the bottom pic leading your eye into the picture

Try FLV instead of TFA - I get blandness if I don't use sweetener with my creams, but that's my teenage taste buds showing through

Yup I really must try flavourah sweetener.....I know Chefs have it but sadly no MF :(

    Somewhere between here and there
Has anyone else tried the siren 3 that comes with the Digiflavor Z1? I tried one of the .65 included coils but was getting a little gurgling so wrapped a 3mm mtl Clapton coil but was getting dry hits. Now I’m trying one of the included 1.0 ohm coils and it’s working ok but not very strong flavor. However there’s no dry hits or gurgling. Anyone have better flavor production with it?

In general, creams and vanillas will add sweetness and round out a mix. That depends on which ones as some are sweeter than others. Creams and vanillas will also pull mixes together just like they do in real life recipes. Creams will also add body and mouth feel.

INW Shisha Vanilla has some sweetness. It's on what I call the brighter and lighter side of vanillas.
Hey question for ya. About what percentage of Shisha Vanilla would you use to subtlety boost the sweetness of a recipe?
