Duly noted, lol.Just don't make a spreadsheet on your purchases...
I did that about a year or two ago and it didn't look nearly big enough... haha

Here is the bottom line... you have to want it bad enough to lose the cigs. For me it was purely a mind game. Once I figured that out... I won, cigs lost.Hi everyone. I'm new here. Looking forward to learning new things from you guys. Trying to quit smoking for the last 2 years and vaping on and off for pretty much the same time. I haven't found anything whether it be mod or pod system that keeps me at it. I still find myself reverting to cigarettes. Can anyone of u members maybe have some advice to share with me. I would really appreciate it. Looking forward to hearing what you have to share.
Thanks guys
Hi CharlieGood morning shinies

If you want to lose the smokes Determination and Perseverance will get you where you want to go. Weakness of Mind, or habit, will not. Strength of Mind and a strong Will can carry you far.
You can do this, many have. It all starts within You.![]()
Hello Zach, everyone calls me SMT. Welcome to our little slice of ECF.Hi. My name is Zach, and I have a problem.
That cigarette first thing in the morning was a major PIA for me too. I allowed that 1st morning cigarette have power over me for some time. It stopped once I figured out dripping high nic in the mornings was satisfying my craving. I also figured out I was like on autopilot with mindlessly firing up that 1st AM cig. I had to unlearn that. Now I like to play mind games with myself by changing up when I start vaping in the mornings. I no longer automatically reach for a vape first thing anymore.I struggled for a long time. You are right. It was a mental block and not necessarily an addiction to cigarettes for me. I am sure I was getting way more nic and wta's than I was from smoking but still couldn't let go of that one cigarette first thing in the morning.

That's very seriously messed up that they classified your flavor purchase as a tobacco product. They are not very helpful to the DIY community by doing that as flavors are not a tobacco product. If they are following the PACT Act to the letter then you and your purchase will be reported to the ATF.I thought River Supply had broken away from Nicotine River in order to have their flavor side to be a separate business from their nicotine products.
Yet, when I made a flavoring purchase yesterday from them it's showing up on my CC as a tobacco product purchase...
Did they not reorganize in order to continue selling flavorings? Maybe I'm misremembering..
My problem is indeed, spending too much on new stuff. I would like to kindly ask you to stay away, lol.Hello Zach, everyone calls me SMT. Welcome to our little slice of ECF.
You never said what your problem was. If it's weakness with spending money on cool vaping gear you came to the right thread.

That's what scares me... I bought my original Joyetech mod back in 2015 with an Aspire Atlantis and had never purchased anything other than new prebuilt coils for it. I'm nearing half of what you've acquired over the past 10+ years, in 2 months. And now that I'm getting into RBA/RTA/RDTAs because it's a lot of fun, I fear this is only going to get worse. I'm looking at a Kizoku Techmod 80W TC Box Mod | Healthcabin because I don't have a SBS yet and I think this looks good and has a reasonable price tag. I was never much into the small vape pens and the like. They did help me stop smoking though.

I think I could easily open my own vape store and have a good start on a second one. I really never took threats to vaping seriously until 2019 and that's when I really started stocking up. Now it's a freezer full of nic, and boxes and boxes of vaping hardware in my basement on top of the 14 set ups I have in rotation right now. No regrets on purchases for the most part but I think I have more than I can ever possibly use but if things get bad then I could trade some stuff for other hardware that I need.
agree...for me it was my kids...I never smoked in my house, I tried not to smoke in the car but I found myself more and more smoking in the car after a long day at work picking up the kids from the sitters and told myself I have got to stop because they didn't choose to smoke I did. I mean I smoked a lot, a pack or two a day but just didn't do it around my kids or in the house. Here is the bottom line... you have to want it bad enough to lose the cigs. It is indeed a mind game. For me, I realized it was something I did habitually based on my setting. When I partied, I liked to socially smoke. When I was stressed, I would use it as an excuse to take a break. When I was driving, the first thing I'd do after putting the car in drive, was light up a cig. When I gamed, it was something I did to take a break/alleviate the strain on the eyes (which ironically, probably does the opposite). Knowing I had the capability to stop all of this at my own will, I challenged myself just to know that it was still under control. That challenge alone, with the help of vaping, is where I've ended up.That cigarette first thing in the morning was a major PIA for me too. I would avoid the Techmod SbS. @stabwood is good - had two and both died.I'm looking at a Kizoku Techmod 80W TC Box Mod | Healthcabin because I don't have a SBS yet and I think this looks good and has a reasonable price tag.
Much appreciated advice. The issue I have now is that my palette for what I like is still new, so the exploration is extensive. I have several RTAs/RDAs/RDTAs that I still haven't burned through the first wick yet, because I'm rotationally vaping them all. Trying to use a single flavor to better understand what each tank is giving me, but then getting sick of that flavor and moving onto different kits/flavors. So yeah, I'm just keeping an eye on decently priced sales and trying to be as thrifty as I can w/out trying to vape poo. I have tons of what I like, but is there better out there? That's what is kind of continuously driving me, lol. And mod/tank looks as well.So spend the little time you have left to determine your happy place favorites, and make sure you grab a couple mechs.. Squonk mechs are straightforward so get one that way you you can see and copy it when you start modding.
You could also buy a DNA board or two to save back for future modding projects.
But buying stuff just to have stuff is pointless. Start planning beyond...
Just my advice.
@Z-Lee that ^^^^^^ is exactly what I did to make certain I was set for life.Honestly, your stocking up so late in the game your best bet - and I'm the only one who'll say this - is to find a couple favorites (RTA, RDA, regulated and mechanical mods) and buy multiples of those few favorites.
When push comes to shove, we can mod, but RTA's and RDA's we will always need to purchase so there'll be a black market at some point for those.

The beauty of a good community.oh if I could afford it, I'd have a lot more but...responsibilitiessingle mom of 2 kids, one with special needs, living below the poverty count so I was really limited to what I could afford...in the past few years that's changed a bit and I could splurge more...starting out it was really only due to fasttech that I was able to afford vaping and a few nice folks here in the forums that piffed me some things when my mod broke and I couldn't afford a new one (of which I then piffed along to some other folks who needed them). And I got really lucky/blessed with quite a few giveaways (though mostly seems I win pod mods but hey beggars can't be choosers).
