Taifun GTR Clone Update:
Not enjoying the Taifun GTR clone as must as I thought I would. I'm just not a fan of the airflow or the draw. I really love the top cap, Flavor is great, JFC is just fine, and the build is really good. For my preferences, I give it a preliminary 3.8/5 because of the airflow, draw, and plastic-dependent JFC. It's very, very acceptable, but it just doesn't have what I'm looking for. It's as easy to build as an RDA. But high probability that I'll end up retiring it, though I might give it a couple more rewicks until I do so.
DVARW Clone Update:
I can't assess the DVARW clone properly because I need to change the airflow pin (likely to the 0.8mm first) and get the wicking down. But even now, I can definitely see what I kept reading over and over about the flavor. The DVARW has my Kayfuns and other atomizers absolutely beat on flavor. No clue how they do it, but the flavor is fuller, richer, brighter, deeper, etc. and it's only my first wick. It's kind of absurd, because it tastes almost like an RDA. Now I'm not a big flavor guy, but I'm still amazed.
I also like how much the tank holds and the looks. I don't like how it's filled, the setup, the filling, the lack of JFC, or the wick style. I wouldn't recommend it for SBS mods, which I am starting to prefer, because of he bottom filling. But it's a REALLY great atomizer, even as a clone. I give it a preliminary "preference score" of 3.8/5 and a "general score" of 4.3/5. I totally get why it's so popular.
Kayfun X Update:
I revise my grade of the Kayfun X to 4.5/5. It's now officially my 2nd favorite atomizer, despite what I believe are weaknesses due to my rayon/tight-MTL/stealth vape preferences. Honestly, I think its score might creep up a few decimal points So far, the Kayfun Prime is the only 5/5, not because it's perfect but because it's my favorite.

OK that helps me decide. Why not? Nothing to lose by trying it and it could work well. At least it will look different to most others.

My thinking atm is that there are so many angles and grooves that the two tones (satin and SS) make it too busy- looking.
I'll leave it overnight and see how I feel in the morning. Then any SS parts will get polished to a finer finish.

sounds about the same as my journey. I used vape pens and t-3s for about a year in 2011. Nothing much else was around.
Seems the next thing I transitioned to was an MVP and a Kanger Protank.
Not long after this, I found the Eleaf Isticks but the 510 connection was so wonky that if you did not have the adaptor the connection wore out quickly.
I was on to Kanger Subox Mini shortly after and then a lot of Vamo's came and went.
My life changed with the Taifun and learning to build a coil. Box mods with external batteries came about and I was thankful because the Vamo always got knocked over. I remember a Clouper and many other things 2014-2015 ish. I still loved the Taifun and had transitioned up as they went up. TGT ll, etc.
Settling on the Minikin (all colors) and Steam Crave Aromamizer in 2016 and pretty much stayed there for a few years.
Some reviewers offer excellent reviews, some serve up mediocre ones, and others leave ya totally shaking your head ( Jai Haze 
). I don't have a favorite. There have been many good reviewers over the years. Many of which no longer do reviews (bummer).
The one YouTube reviewer I miss a lot is Damian Morter (A Bloody Good Vaping). He called an ace an ace AND a spade a spade. Very honest reviews. He hasn't posted a review in years (2018-19). Even his Safehouse Pictures UK website is gone.

I never tried any of the Kangers though my first B&M vape place carried mainly those and Aspire tanks. Poking around the internet late 2014/early 2015 there seemed to be a lot of talk of them leaking so I went with Aspire.
Vivi Novas at first, then a Nautilus Mini, Triton 2, and the Atlantis EVO.
After that I branched out to some other stores and picked up a couple of SMOK Baby Beasts and a Big Baby Beast.
I had thought about trying out an RTA around that time but then the mesh coils came out and were a big improvement so I just stuck to tanks that were compatible with the Baby style coils.
The Big Baby Beast kit did come with the RBA though I never tried it out until last year.
I'm using mostly RTAs now but usually have one of the Baby coil tanks in rotation. (A TFV9 at the moment)
So many things I never got around to checking out and missed out on over the years but my vape budget was pretty limited a lot of that time.
I guess I kind of made up for it a little bit in the last year and a half though.

I find myself gravitating over time towards reviewers that reflect my own vaping tastes, or show me gear that interests me but I could never afford. Others are more entertainment value.
One thing that really gets my goat is when commercial interests trump honesty. I've unsubbed from a few over the years for that reason.
Another thing that annoys me is when a reviewer gets facts wrong about technical details over and over again. Mike Vapes is the one that springs to mind.

Well spotted. His is a classic, well educated South Australian accent. Definitely more posh sounding than other areas. Not flat and nasal like some of the broad Aussie accents.
Yesterday I received my walnut Limelight Freehand S mech squonker. Good Wood!!! 
It came with a matching walnut drip tip (SS lined), two extra squonk bottles, beauty ring and some spare parts. The gentleman who sold it to me also included four custom made 2 core parallel fused Clapton's (26+26/38) Ni80 0.30Ω.
She hits nice and hard (silver contacts
). I have the Hussar v2 RDA sittin' on top. It's a lovely freakin' vape.

To me, Sam comes across as a "what you see, and hear, is what you get" kind of person. Nothing fake. Genuine honesty. I love his reviews. He cracks me up sometimes. I enjoy watching his videos from start to finish.
With just about everyone else's YT reviews I'm only interested in the details. The beginnings, unboxing, pros/cons and endings usually get skipped.

I wouldn't purchase just one mod, I have a lengthy list. I'd buy a couple Gepetto Workshop mods, OLC Stratum mods and Strangers Mods.
Next I would commission a couple mods each from Parovar Workshop, Aldin Mods and Dendro Mods.
After consulting my financial advisors and team of attorneys the bulk of the lottery winnings would likely be placed in wise investments. I would make 100% certain to not be one of those imbeciles who wins the Big Lottery and then is broke a few years later.
Hmmm, just thinkin' out loud, I would also employ a 30 year old personal assistant/driver/armed bodyguard (ex-Mossad or ex-Spetsnaz; female).

I'd definitely be thinking somewhat the same with a single 21700 squonk mod with a decent chipset, possibly so far as custom made 510 connector.
As for chipset, maybe create 3 mods using the top chipsets on the market.
As for atomisers, stuff it. May as well work on a single coil RDA with under coil airflow.
