I am so done with drop in coils! So many issues... clogs, "burnt" taste, quality control. I did buy some once on e-bay (yes I was warned) and not surprised I got some bad ones, but now my brand new authentic coil failed.
I need a small RTA for MTL that will work with my small mod (Innokin EZ Watt) The mod only has three wattage ranges: 13-14, 16-18, and 30-35. Must have adjustable airflow (I do MTL but don't like overly restricted airflow, also like restricted DTL) I don't mind making my own coils, but would be nice if the RTA came with a few to get me started.

After looking around, I can see this won't be easy... most are too big, not made for MTL, or just more than my little mod can handle. I did find this one (more than I can afford, but perfect and comes with 2 pre-made coils):

Obviously, I need a better mod (also have a RDA/RDTA that needs a better mod to run dual coils)

The Coppervape Project X Styled RTA is one of the best flavour RTAs I've tried. It's easy to build, and relatively easy to wick. The airflow would suit you, wide open it's restricted DL, close down two holes and it's MTL. I mtl it wide open.

Doesn't come with coils, but grab something like these:
    $1.64 Authentic Clrane Kanthal A1 Twisted Pre-Coiled Wire (10-Pack) 10-pack - 32*2 AWG / 0.2mm*2 dia. / 0.9ohm / 10pcs/pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

    or these:
    $3.83 Authentic Clrane Kanthal A1 Pre-Coiled Wire (50-Pack) - 30*2 AWG / 0.25mm*2 dia. / 1ohm / w/ cotton at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Yep that would be a really good choice - and if you look for ones with MTL in the title or description, your mod will handle them. You may need to keep the coils above 0.8ohms as well for the mod.

The berserker MTL RDAs are 16mm. Dunno how big their RTAs are. Iirc there’s a falcon RTA that is 22mm. Some people here seem to like it. I’ve never used it.

Berserker MTL RDA is 18mm (the newer Berserker V2 is 22mm). The Berserker RTAs have 22mm and 24mm versions.

The Dvarw RTAs come in 16mm and 22mm version (and maybe larger, not sure). Doggystyle is 22mm and pretty nice as well. Clones of Berskerkers, Dvarws, and Doggies can had cheap on FT.

Really? Where’d I get 16mm? It’s annoyingly small at any rate. Smallest atty I got that isn’t an EGO type. And not counting any cigalikes stuff that survived my tackle box purge somehow. 18mm would be a weird choice.
Do the berserker clones come with all the little air inlet blocks?

Technically, my mod is supposed to take max 22 mm, but I don't mind if it hang over a bit. Wow, my head is spinning... need some time to check these out.
AngeNZ, I know where to get pre-wound coils now! Thanks. I also need a few for my RDA/RDTA (still can't believe I got a "Quad Flex" kit for $10 :)

Took a quick look at all of them. Some are out of stock. I still don't understand the Fumytech Rose. You use 4 coils? Can you just use 2? Sure looks nice. Funny thing is every time I search for gear, the stuff I like the best is Geek Vape (no surprise) just out of my budget, but might be worth saving up for! That Innokin also looks great!
