Will Fc be carrying the SX Zero Modz 50W with the sx350 chip? I am assuming the sx350 chip is better. They are selling on EBay for $125.00

I am not sure this ebay listing has an authentic SX350 chip/board. The specs they list for ohms and volts do not match what Yihi says the SX350 has.
The below info is copied directly from Yihi's website.

"Single Battery DC to DC Sustain Subohm 0.2 to 3.0 ohm VV/VW 5W to 50W 1.0V to 9.5V Yihiecigar "

I am certain it is not an authentic SX350. The seller is either ignorant or counting on his customers being so.

The listing states "** WITH AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL YiHi SX-350 CHIP!!! ***" Stating that the chip is an AUTHENTIC when in fact it is not is not a good idea on EBay. I will email the seller and see what he has to say, and report it as a fraud.

I'm dying to know as well.

His listing now has a 2nd "update" and reads:
UPDATE #2: DO NOT BE FOOLED BY OTHERS SELLING A SIMILAR ITEM. ASK THEM IF THERE'S IS MADE BY HOTCIG. IF IT IS, IT IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL CHIP BUT A POORLY MADE COPY. OUR UNITS ARE NOT HOTCIG. THEY HAVE ORIGINAL AUTHENTIC YiHi CHIP.

Zero Modz Style SX 50W SX350 Chip 7 50 Watt Variable Wattage G Sensor | eBay

While I'll not let my hopes get too high, I do know the authentic chip will fit... and I really REALLY want this to be true!!! I was thinking of just getting the focalcig one and swapping the chip when/if it died :2cool:

Please let us know what he says and if it seems legit, I may have to be the guinea pig!

It seems cheap to me! I don't know US prices on YiHI SX350 boards there around £50 just for the board in the UK. Plus the cost of the hotcig mod.

A genuine SX350 is 60W V2.6 firmware
Why is the seal still showing if it has been upgraded? (As only a Carlos Zero has a genuine SX350)
The pictures of the display and USB do not match a real SX350. The board is bigger so all mounts are different the USB/data board is longer with issues where components and wiring are located. It requires some tricky modding there is no way to mount the USB forward enough unless you rework the board (cut) and USB connector (modify and resolder) or steel chassis.

Seems like it is a SX300C 50W to me same as the focale one.

Why it was a genuine SX350 (60W V2.6 firmware) would you advertise it at 50W?

Its my favourite clone so far, I guess its pot luck for us in the UK if we can get any of the new Yosen / Infinite ones (at a reasonable price) and I know the SX Zero cloners are reluctant to sell to Fasttech given price and supply. The disastrous Yosen DNA Zero cost me ($180! including USPS shipping from the US to the UK + customs) its a poor clone and the board is the worst I ever used :( add the cost of a evolv DNA 30/40 (if you can find a 40 that works ;) and I have a clone that costs way more than a YiHi SX Mini! (which are $230 here in the UK) Not to mention the retro fit is one of the hardest you could ever do a Cana is childs play in comparison;)

There is a discussion ecf forums about your Zero Mod having an authentic SX 350 chip. The pictures and specs don't add up to a sx350 chip. "on the last pic i see a sticker, and that sticker is from hotcig ( on wood below 510 connector)."
Can you verify this is a authentic SX 350 chip with a picture of the chip? Love this mod.

Thanks

Oh forgot to update my thoughts on the Yosen SX ...

As I said earlier it is much lighter at 150 grams, the same weight as a SXmini. This threw me off at first because I am used to the hefty feel of my other Zeros.

The build quality, specifically the machining and finish of the frame is much better than the V1 & V2 DNA Zeros. They even sanded down the edges of the frame this time so it doesn't have that sharp feel. The only thing I don't like about the build is that the acrylic body does not meet the edge of the frame at all four corners. At each corner there is a 2mm space, which is not a QC flaw, this is by design because they are all like this ... and I wished it was not. Its like they couldn't figure out how to make the corners meet while keeping the rest of it flush.

This is where I am giving props to Eachely because I have been told that need to go slower with producing the Wood SX in order to make sure every corner is flush and filled to the edge. The pulled it off with their sample which we have already seen ... SXK needs to follow suit.

The acrylic body itself feels sturdy, and hard, not fragile like it would break easy. Thank you Jesus the 510 threads are what you would expect from a manufacturer like SXK. For the record let me say that the reoccurring issues with poor 510 threads on the DNA Zero that showed up throughout ALL BATCHES, was because there were literally thousands of these frames machined and tapped incorrectly at one time ... thousands ... China being China they were not going throw out thousands of stainless steel frames just because they screwed them up .. and that is why to this day they continue to show up.

So again, the 510 threads on the Yosen SX are actually better than the best DNA Zero was. The battery cap is brass, the removable 510 cap is SS. The threading is great on both, like usual SXK great. The new flat switch is nice, I think I like it better than the one on the DNA Zero. The display is not as bright as the Eachely SX but that it due to the design of the Yosen which has a kind of smoked display screen ... as far as the chip, it is the same exact chip as many of us have already been using in the Eachely SX, no difference at all.

Thats all I have right now :D

Thanks for the quick review Nicole I wished I lived in the States for the vapegear! ;) Your SX Mini review was the best yet! :)

Reply from EBay seller:

Dear monkeybizzness01,

This is NOT a hotcig model. The pic is not accurate and taken of a hotcig. But the look is exactly the same. The new models have just left the mfg to me today and are on the way. Once i receive i will update with the actual pics.

And yes, it is an authentic SX-350 chip. Not the fake sx-300 chip that hotcig uses. I used to sell the hotcig until they were caught lying about their chip. And delivery. I was then able to find this manufacturer with much better quality.

I would NOT list a fake or mislead in any way. Especially on eBay which is ALL pro-buyer. You can see I am a powerseller and 100% positive feedback. The last thing I would do is misrepresent an item.

Be assured, I know it sounds too good to be true, but this IS a real YiHi SX350 chip. And a steal at this price considering the units out there with a fake SX300 and the build quality of them. If you are unhappy with the unit in any way shape or form, we will gladly take it back for a full refund.

Nice reply! looks like its down to your own judgement! The hotcig chips from what I could tell (as I have never seen a real Yihi board were not available to modders or the general public) were real, board analysis of components used and board design were all consistent with a design made by YiHi. Just to say not one DNA clone board has the same design as an evolv board all are reversed engineered and use other components and board design.

Authentic YiHi SX350 60W Chip!

It may possibly be YiHi have fire sold SX350s given the movement in the vaping market and are dumping stock I can't wait to see a real review of one which will most probably not happen (a real teardown, hires board pictures and verified firmware not to mention output voltages) I have been vaping SX350s boards (30W before any firmware updates) since March 2013 so i would know exactly if it was a real one.

Varitube are selllng SX350s for $70 plus the mod and thats a loss for us in the UK and USA its China anything is possible but so is the misinformation, trickery and its business after all (No racism I am 50% Chinese myself)

It amuses me sellers advertise vapegear with pictures & specs that are not of the actual vapegear they are selling ;) It's like selling a house online then when you get there the seller says it's this one! ;)

Vaping from China is like the wild west you pay your money and roll the dice!

Just had a look at the listing, here in the UK you only buy from ebay if you have money to burn ;) or think you are lucky;)

UPDATE #2: DO NOT BE FOOLED BY OTHERS SELLING A SIMILAR ITEM. ASK THEM IF THERE'S IS MADE BY HOTCIG.

(The build is very good apart from the sleeve fitting and iffy soldering common with china) IF IT IS, IT IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL CHIP BUT A POORLY MADE COPY (Believe who you want there;)

Same here I haven't used them the focale one has had 30secs vape time ;) I have 2 and destroyed my first evolv DNA 30 doing a retro fit :( I wish I had the time and tools as doing what Hotcig have done mill the top out and tap the chassis for a varitube or possibly a low profile FDV.

Atleast both mine have okish 510s when the weather is better and I have more time I will have a go but don't think the DNA 40 and NI200 would be so hot on the iffy 510 connection, it's not the threads but the Yosen rubbish 510 and connectivity is critical for the TP to work.

Wellllll... I sent him an email asking for clarification on the specification discrepancy. They look like the specs from the SX300 chip. Pending his reply, I just may wind up being the guinea pig:glare:

I really want this thing to be legit. The only reason I have not jumped on one of these, a cloupor mini, or an ipv mini, are their inability to buck the voltage. If he states the chip in this mod will buck the voltage....iiiiiiiiiiiimmaa get it... need like I need a hole in the head though lol... worst comes to worst, he's already offered a full refund.

what don't you like about that 510?

well, besides the exposed wire of course

The Hotcig/Eachly varitube 510 rip off is the best self adjuster to date I have seen on a chinese mod maybe the chinese will stop making $$$ on crappy 510s and the hundreds of thousands of vapers that junk there mods because the chinese (as well as others Hana Modz, Vaproshark, etc) knew how much they could make by building in obsolescence.;)

Lets be fair even a decent SX clone is like a Mercedes in comparison to a cloupor or ipv mini (I have a cloupor mini) P4U I am done with them no way would i buy another product from them (owned sold IPV2 , 3, 2S)

A real SX Zero by Carlos Creations is $500-1000;) with a 6+ months waiting list!

Let us know how you get on he has already made some good money there! Post some pics when it comes personally for me the SX350 is a great chip!
