Thanks guys. That will be my entertainment tonight. Should get my term-c tomorrow. One question that I haven't found an answer to yet. Is there any benefit (besides cost of course) to buying ready wires or making your own? Does either perform any better?

I have 49 of the ready wires coming with it. So I won't have to worry about it for a while unless it's worth making your own

Question, does the Ithaka without the 510 ring fit any other mods than the ggts and mkb ts?

Thanks!

Only the DHX-TS (clone of the MKB-TS with crappy threading) that I'm aware of ... I do believe the Adam has GGTS threading, but not 100% certain.

EDIT: Yes, the Adam does have a GG atty adapter available for it...

Hmmm.. if the iSeason (clone of the Adam) shares the same threading, the Adam ADAM2GG adapter should fit, giving us another inexpensive option to run our Term C's (with GG base) & Hercules in hybrid mode.. :) ;)

I would personally probably not buy ready wires. Sometimes I'll set up my term to run an a regulated mod like my Lexi or Provari and if I'm doing they I'm going to build it in the 1.3 - 1.5 ohms neighbourhood. Whereas if I'm know I'm putting it on my mech for a bit then I'll build it closer to .8 - 1.1 ohms. Add the fact that since my last terminator build with twisted 32g I've discovered the wonderful world of ribbon wire, so my next build in there is definitely with ribbon wire.

But I guess if you're ok with the same ohms and same wire thickness every time that the ready made ones are great.

I have ready wire from 1.2 ohms to 3 ohms. I use them pretty much exclusively. I tried to join NR to Kanthal a few times. Each time I was able to join them, but then they didn't fit in my ceramic cup with the silica wick. I was almost gonna sell my Hercules. Then I got some ready wire and had it set up in 1 hour. They really make things much easier. They are not perfect. Some of the ready wires are pretty short, so you have just enough to attach them to the positive post. Another issue I have been having with the ready wires is that they are a bit fragile. If you pull them too tight, they will break.

You will like your Term-C. It is very flavorful!

Thanks for the information!!

Think I'll just stick with my pinoy clones though, I like the gaudiness of those.

So here's something weird that just started happening. MKB-TS with term-c/ggts base. Mind you I have been running this set up for weeks... Lately when I plug my term onto the mkb the bottom cap starts heating up... Without firing it... If I let it go it gets pretty hot. Just to make sure i took the term off and left the battery in. No more heat problem... So I took everything apart, cleaned, and I am still having the same issue. It makes no sense because it does not seem like there is a hard short in the mkb... But if there was a short in the term wouldn't I have to fire it in order for it to heat up? Mind you i can still fire and vape my term c just cant leave the battery screwed down and leave it somewhere. It will get too hot to pick up! ... What is going on!! Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the ggts base is shorting when the center pin is pushed down by the term. If your talking about the bottom battery cap then maye battery is pushing down to the switch. Heat is resistance, electricity is going trough something; apperantly the bottom cap.

And hopefully your using protected batteries. Sounds like a meltdown waiting to happen.

There was a member that posted of a similar problem a while back, he had cleaned the bottom cap assembly in some type of liquid and some crud that would conduct was down inside the cap conducting to the axis. If you have an ohm meter check for resistance between the cap and the axis, there should be none.
