What gauge do you suppose the resistor wire part is on the 1.8 ohm ready wires? or how long between the welds?
I sure wish they had them in 1.5 ohms

It's thin gauge wire... I got 4 wraps around the 3mm silica, and there was just enough NR leg to grab the positive post without trimming.

I received my ready wires today... (1.8 ohm) I torched the R wire before wrapping around a 3mm piece of German silica, and set up the Terminator C rebuildable. I must say I enjoyed this build much better than messing with joining NR R wires. These ready wires are a breeze. :)

I am using the Oddy / GGTS base on the MKB-TS with the Term. I filled er' up with my DIY Hangsen T5, set the air-control, opened up the juice-conrtol, and it's vaping along very nicely.. :vapor: The flavor has a slight edge to it over my usual Kanthal builds, but I think it will mellow after a tank or two.. ;)

You know, I wanted to give the ready wire time to break in, but an hour after I started my job I ended up changing the Steam Machine atty to a Evod because the taste isn't as good as Kanthal. I love my SM and the Euphoria because they taste so GOSH DARN good and using a coil that diminishes the flavor a little just doesn't make sense to me. I will try another coil by burning with a torch a little, but not right now.

The ready made coils i have tried (4). 3mm wick - looks smaller the my 3mm stock. small - not sure what "r" wire that is. nice long non-r wire on each side. But the flavor sucks!!! All 4 premade wicks, ughhh. The 3 Term-c's i do have up, are using .999 non-r silver wire to 1ohm 32g kenthal r wire, back to silver non-r wire. wrapped on a 3mm wick, plus 3mm xtra wick under coil, sitting snug inside the ceramic cup. v2 Terminator parts. liking my Term + Ody gg-ts base, atop the mkb-ts. TYTYTY dwcraig1, for all the great info! I hope every 1 has a great 4th of July.

Me too, or 1.3 ohms (my usual term/euforia build), but not after hearing the taste issues. I remember people comparing kanthal to nichrome when rebuilding was a new thing and having the same comments, that kanthal is much more 'neutral' tasting and doesn't color the taste as much.

It's a shame no vendors sell pre-made NR-R-NR wires using kanthal and either nickel or silver for the NR.

Here's what you might also do for the missing plastic spacer.
Cut off the part that stays on the outside of the walls on the drywall ancholota razor blade, keep it flat.
The second picture is of when I removed the very bottom o-ring to show it doesn't have anything to do with creating leakage. The blue plastic piece is the part of a drywall anchor which I use in all my Terminators between the bottom o-ring and the nut that holds the positive wire, this helps keep the bottom o-ring from sticking to the nut and causing it to unscrew while removing the ceramic housing from the base.
This same plastic piece will work quite well also at the bottom of the ceramic housing.

This ended up working really excellent. I happened to have a couple of these plastic drywall thingies laying around the house and bam, worked perfectly. Thanks a lot.

I've tried several builds so far thing to get a good vape but I'm quite unhappy with the performance I've been getting. All of my builds have been between 1.3 and 1.5ohms using a mix of 30 and 32awg kanthal with 32awg nickel NR wire along with 2.5 and 3mm silica wick using 2 pieces of wick on every build over the coils. Just can't seem to get a good throat hit or vapor production, vapor production is really weak. Is this just me? It must be. Anything above 3.9 volts on my provari and the taste is not very good. I think I've just become to accustomed to the nice .90ohm coils on my RSST in my genies. Gonna give this a few more tries but I have a feeling I'll get the same results.

@ buffalo, you are not going to get probably better vapor production than with a Gen but it should still be quite good. You should be getting way better flavor, enough to cause you to retire those Gen's. IMO
Try cutting two strands from the wicks in each side channel to achieve 2 to 2.5 mm , make sure the wicks are not being strangled where they make the bend to cross the top. Remember the liquid it traveling on the outsides of the silica not through it so the looser the wick in the side channels the better (with in reason)

Thanks for the advice man. Next rebuild I will try that using the 3mm wick again and try and keep the wick a little looser across the bends.

I have to say, without having any of those ridiculously hard to get atomizers I am really impressed with the build quality of these. I can't imagine the real McCoy being leaps and bounds better than this is in that regard.

The real McCoy vapes exactly the same

When I get home from work this morning those ribbon wire coils a coming out. I know the ribbons work really well but I have not perfected my methods using it in this application as yet. The problem it getting it to stay tight enough on the wick.
What I have going is OK but nothing as good as my regular builds. I may torch it after wrapping and before mounting to keep it snug or at least try to.

Have been having the best results with 2mm ekowool on the T C V2.
Double strand at the coil and single down the sides.

Have set up a 2nd one for my provari mini using ekowool, as well. Used 2 inches of 32g Kanthal A-1 with 32g Nickel legs. Coil yields 2.5 ohms. At 4.7 volts, it's vaping perfect.
