Are you sure VS carried or tested 5P? The controversy over diketones in 5P liquids started when a UK seller had the stuff tested. There was a big thread about it this summer. 5P sent lawyers to demand the UK vendor pull the test results from their site and the UK vendor caved. I do not think VS would have thrown in the towel quite that easily.
Huum didn't see that. Cloud9 did the testing. They pulled the results eh? Must look around a bit to see where that thread is Rossum. Unless you'll be a gent and post it here?

I did that and only found out Rossum isn't a very good swimmer. Always trying to squonk with one hand and do the back stroke with the other. No wonder he goes through so many squonkers. [emoji1]

VS never carried 5P to begin with. Cosmic Fog did not dispute the results. They just wrote a blog explaining that they were always upfront with their customers ( unlike 5p ) and notified those who inquired, that two of their liquids had AP. They also pointed out that only 3 vendors out of the original 42 vendors tested were completely DA/AP free across the board. Far from disputing VS results, they applauded them for taking the initiative. Now I am not saying I know for a fact that others haven't disputed the VS results, only that I haven't seen evidence of it except for one juice, Colossus by Cyclops Vapors.
No, I don't believe the vendors whose results you find sketchy, just " happened" to be nd across the board. MOV, Mr. Eliquid, Njoy etc... had a company policy to only sell non-diketone liquids. they tweaked, reformulated, tested, retweaked, retested etc.... Only then did they send their liquids to be independently tested and publicized their results. It wasn't happenstance at all, it was all by meticulous design.
There are a lot more vendors tested on the Vapor Shark site now. I believe what you posted is summary bu ECTA of Canada. I wish they would update it ! Perhaps we could provide a link to this in the first post as an addendum.
If i were making stuff to go into somebody else's body, I think the practice of "meticulous" would be front and forward, and of utmost importance.
I can appreciate the forethought and planning put forth here.
Unfortunately, for many vendors who don't take this seriously, its just a dog n' pony show, website advertising copy, just send money. Sorry, but that's the way I feel.
Also, interesting that, with the sheer amount of testing VS has done on so many ejuices, that alone serves as a kind of "resource" for vapers......I mean, in and of itself.

I digged in a bit in the past when seeing a (no diketones) message on many e juice websites, when i dug deeper and said to them ,( if i have your juice independently tested you are positive it will be diketone free) is that right ?
Most responses were " well, we can't absolutely guarantee it's completely free of them , we just post that message because thats what some of our suppliers have claimed " .
No way i would take a juice companies word for it , at this point vendors don't have to (by law), tell you whats really in their juice so many won't , claiming is a lot different than proving in this scenario.
I believe "Five Pawns" also claimed their juice was diketone free , what a joke of a comment that was , they weren't even remotely close to being truthful.
I think they made the claim they were diacetyl free at one point - I don't recall seeing diketones broadly.
