Hey guys .. & gals.. I mixed all my new flavors at 5%, I've tried them after a few days steeping so this is an I initial review with little to no steeping and will see how they come around.

The Arabic @ 5% this was really strong, tasted like cognac or something. Not pleasant to me, may need to steep out or reduce %. Is the alcohol / cognac taste what it is, or does it change w/ steeping?

Gold & silver @ 5% - *Extremely strong , heavy prune or something taste. Not like the premix I had , definately needs to steep out or lower %

Smooth @ 5% - mellow taste did notice a decent TH, will need to steep for sure maybe higher %

Ry3 @ 5% - light taste but the flavor that's there seems good slightly nutty. Need steep for sure but maybe higher %

(Pa/tfa, Dk tab extremely strong @5% without steep)

On a side note this new myfreedomsmoke clean nic seems too flavorless for my
tobacco mixes, none of my flavors taste right anymore. Maybe I need some tobacco adsolute or something now.

Vape on!

Anyway back to the regular scheduled program...I'm wanting to mix a couple of HS tobaccos...any suggestions...I have Ry1, Ry4, Indian, T5, TB and USA mix...would like to mix something with the Indian

Edit: I've been sticking around 7% on my mixes, seems a little on the light side...am I going to high on my percentage or should I lower it...as I see lots of folks talking about 5%

That's what I mix my HS tobaccos at and it's good for me. I tried 5% and it was a bit light. Some do go 9 - 10%. Do watch it though because some tobaccos are stronger then others. The T5, RY1 and USA are good at 7%. The indian has been said to be on the weaker side but I have not tryed it yet. Also I've been mixing a little tobacco absolute with the weaker ones such as the pipe, Smooth and flue cured and that seemed to make them pop a bit. Even the TAB was a bit light for me and the TA did wonders for that one.

I got mine from RTS, I rebuilt the coil on my lil dripper, put new cotton wick in it and tasted the T5 first...my taste buds may just be screwy but on another note, I've been dripping on the same wick a combination of HS tobaccos and finding some really unique tasting blends happening...heck I need to just mix about 4-5 HS tobacco's and create the ultimate tobacco blend :toast:

I wound up mixing the three hangsen flavors I tried with other tobacco flavors to kick them up a little. I'm still going to reorder hangsen because they're so hard to beat for a smooth base flavor that's solidly in the tobacco camp.

Sorry to continue the derailing...
When I searched for info on the Kayfun, I found:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-new-kayfun-clone-aka-dream-bt804-tank-7.html

Then searching for a mini version, this came up:
Mini BT804|Electronic Cigarette Products Dream Series|beauticig

I don't know anything about these things. Maybe the bt804 isn't a Kayfun clone. Looks interesting anyway. The original is more than I can afford right now, so a clone would be my only option.

It rebuilds and wicks the same way as a kayfun. This looks close to a mini. Have you seen any pricing on these or where to order them?

I have four of the dream bt804s and love them to pieces, but they only hold about 1.1 ml and I have to plug the mouthpiece, flip upside down, unscrew the tank and fill, screw the tank back on, flip back up and pull the plug. I use a cut down plunger from a small syringe for the plug. I can do it about as fast as typing it out, so it's not as bad as it sounds, but with 1.2 ohm micro coils and cotton, I breeze through 1ml pdq, let me tell you.

I recommend taking a look at the rocket or one of the other clones on FT. I have the tobeco on it's way at the moment. Search FT kayfun and three or four versions should pop up. The frosted looks interesting as well. It's bound to be a lot lighter than the metal.

I just received my rocket kayfan clone RBA and been playing with new tobaccos myself. What a great explosion of flavor I get with this rocket kayfan. Took me a while to figure out the optimum coil/wick configuration but after that WOW. Who ever gave it bad reviews for being a clone should be shot. This thing is great. I've also got an original kayfan coming so I'll see how they compare. But for a fifth of the price of an original kayfan ($12.99) it is so well worth it. Using it on a itazte MVB right now but can't wait for my vamo series 3 MVB to arrive. Santa's been very good to me this year:)

Congrats on the rocket, Danny. Just in case you haven't seen it, this thread has a couple of tips including that you can cut down the long shank of a ce4 type trip tip and the threads will catch on the rocket. Metal tips and cold weather don't go together imo. :vapor:

Meanwhile, and back on topic, I'm knee deep into a 90 ml bottle made from hangsen ry1, ry4, tob blend, and WL american red as the main ingredients. This was made over two months ago and tossed in the back of a drawer to steep. It's DELICIOUS, and dummy me DIDN'T WRITE DOWN THE PROPORTIONS lol. Oh well, I thought I'd already learned that lesson, but I guess I'm learning it again.

I can't seem to put the rocket down I'm loving it to much. Thanks for the tip on the ce4 drip tip I just happened to have a few with already short shanks that fit perfectly. Would have never thought of it until you mentioned it. So now I have a few extra tips and love the warmer feel of the plastic. Going to read that link now..... Thanks again
