Has anyone tried the disposable atomizers from Smartvapes? I could be wrong, but the flavor to me is comparable to any rebuildable. The cost factor also works out because they last forever - several weeks at moderate use. I have dry burned mine at least ten times, and the flavor is still excellent. Am I really missing something by going without a rebuildable? Here is a link:

Ok, I tried the Indian/Rum mix I made about a month ago and it's pretty dang tasty! It's a bit light on tobacco flavor and the Rum and it's missing that 'ashy taste' you guys keep talking about. (NOW I know what you mean!) It tastes...green I guess. I'm gonna mix up another batch because even though it's weak, it's still pretty dang good!

What percentages did you use. I am steeping Indian at 5% and still haven't tried it. Wondering if I should raise it to 7%.

I mixed it at 3% and added only a couple drops of Jamaican Rum. I'm going to bump it up to 5%/1% and speed steep it.

I dropped Indian from my daily vapes. Raised that one to 10% and flavor barely coming through even with AP added. Replaced it with Elder Cpt. which I find mild but at higher percentage comes through with a unique flavor only found in that one.

Just mixed some new flavors. Cherry cigar, usa, and Golden V1. (Hangsen) All at 5%. Anyone try the Golden V1 lately? I haven't seen too many reviews on that flavor.

I like that one. It's a light honey tobacco, sweet, no grass, hay or ash. Good added to another medium body tobacco to bring it down some, or the reverse is true too, adding it to a tobacco that might be too strong. And I probably just wrote the same thing as the reviews you've seen on it. lol

Thanks! I think I will like this flavor.

A little background so you understand my review. I have only been vaping a little over 3 months. I was afraid to go with tobacco flavors at first because I didn't want it to make me want a cigarette. I refused to try any until I encountered a stressful event. My daughter had a couple of premixes that I tried and discovered I really do want to find a good tobacco flavor. She had 2, a caramel tobacco that was nasty and a black honey tobacco that was just ok. I didn't really like it but it would do until I could find better.

I asked here on the forum for suggestions and ended up buying 3 hangsen flavors... highway, RY1 and virginia. I mixed the three at 5% and put them up. This was 11 days ago. They now have a slight pale color to them. I have smelled each and from smell the RY1 smells like a stronger cigarette flavor to me. The Virginia smells sweet and the Highway smells lighter and slightly nutty. I know I was told to try them when mixed and to continue to try them to see how they progress but I decided not to. I didn't want to be discouraged if the initial flavor was not there and being new to DIY I didn't know what to expect.

I decided to try the Highway today. Oh my, I am impressed! This is the first tobacco flavor I have tried that does taste tobacco like. I know it will get better with age and I am looking forward to that. It is light but the tobacco flavor is there. I will be vaping this today. I will try one of the others tomorrow and see how it compares. As a tobacco newbie I want to start with one a day so not to get mixed up on which is which if that makes sense. So far so good!

Thanks Glasseye for your suggestions. :toast:

Congratulations on finding a mix. I think you will like the hangsen flavors. You will most likely find that the flavor you like will quickly get tiring. So don't be afraid to try them all. The selections you have are not a sweet sickening tobacco and are distinctly different from each other. Don't be afraid to switch and go from one to another. The change in flavor throughout the day is what will keep you on track and away from cigarettes. I carry 3 to 4 flavors with me at all times in seperate cartos and switch constantly throughout the day.

As a recent ex smoker the flavors may be a bit light because the old taste buds are still on real cigarette time and until your taste buds recover and taste starts coming back don't be afraid to go to 7% on these flavors.

You could start with this flavor. I think I read about Gitanes brunes once upon a time. It is a darker fire cured tobacco rolled with a rice type paper. I never tried it but this may be a start to what your looking for. I am sure someone here has tried the flue cured. Sadly, I have not tried it yet.

wondering if any of you hangsen vets can help me here, my fav cig was gitanes brunes which had flue cured tobacco, being strong in flavour and aroma,is there any combination of hangsen essences to get near to that flavour.

Hangsen does make a flue cured tobacco but to me it seemed a bit weak in taste. But as every ones taste is different give it a try.

Flue Cured it a light one, to me it's very good but you may need to mix it with a bolder tobacco to get what you want SCOTT-3, I don't know the flavor of Gitanes personally. You might try asking here...I think his name is Kevin, to see if he has recommendations for flavorings.

LOL I just read some reviews on this cigarette. Some funny reviews. They state it is strong kinda like a latakia type tobacco as well. I think you could get that with Hangsen Pipe for a stronger note to compliment the flue cured. On mixing this one may be a experiment for you. The pipe is strong. It's been awhile since I tried the pipe.

thanks for link glasseye, was thinking the same for a bolder favour to add, top vender kevin, had issue with 250ml of nic had a tainted taste, he's e-mail reply was dispose of nic will replace order first morning post, he's hangsen essences are a bit limited in stock.

This is true but the one time I ordered from him, he didn't have one that I wanted on his website but he did have it in stock. :) Also, I think there is some kind of distributor in London. If you go to the main Hangsen website there is a tab for Global Partners.
