The biggest thing I am looking for is good tobacco flavor and also a nice throat hit. I use a mech so i cant adjust anything. im guessing by adjusting my pg/vg levels I can adjust my throat hit. How does 50/50 work for you?

I have #5, Indian and Highway. They all have a nice flavor to me. I'm not much for a punch in the gut throat hit. 45PG/45/VG/10DW at 15% nic is how I like it. I use this in my tanks and drippers. The TH is more with my RDAs. If you haven't checked out the Inawera thread (or their flavors) do so. I think they have some awesome tobacco flavors too. I see the same faces in both threads LOL

Thanks. By benchmark, I meant that I don't have much Hangsen experience from other vendors.

I usually let juices steep at least three days before tasting. Then I sample about twice a week. That gives me a decent idea of how they're progressing.

Yes, indeed made from tobacco! In my experience, Indian tasted like a fine NET, but without gunking coils so far :) I need to test this more though...

Gunking of coils?
I've gone 120ml with the Arabic on rayon. Still nothin' at that point. :)

Thanks Danny! In about 2 weeks, I might start tweaking the percentages. I'll probably end up staying between 3.5-5 % for most of them.

Thank you very much , this is what I needed, a sweet short short list :) BTW, I always keep thinking Churchill as a cigar flavor, thanks for reminding me!

I'll be sampling Elder Pipe in a bit here

Churchill is good but slightly weaker. Does have a bit of a soft fruit backnote. Its in my rotation.

Desert ship is in my rotation. Its got the musty notes. Wheat/ corn notes too to me.

Skip the congress IMO. Nothing special light tobacco. I have some and haven't mixed anymore of it.

Gold and silver you need to check out. It smells like a fresh pack of smokes when you pull the foil off the first time. Its unique, some prune nktes maybe. I run it at 3%, it can get real strong on you if your not careful. Depending on your build, 3-4%

Wow! You're also using a DNA40 device :) Still though... Well last week, I broke my own record vaping a week with the same rayon wick and coil, about 25-30 mLs! Then one tankful of INW Am4a gunked it though -- I don't know what's in that!

The rayon wick is outstanding! Non-believers, check out the Rayon thread :)

Thanks for the heads up. I do have the Gold & Silver -- it's steeping. BTW, I do like the Arabic so far!

No this was done before D40 was even available and no actually I don't have one. I Still use the same zmax v3 for the last year.

That link is at 90ml with rayon at 24w. Its not the juice but the rayon that makes it possible. But compared to dirty nets it might as well be clear. Lol

Ah, got it. For some reason, I thought you were also using DNA40... I feel like I leaped into the next century with Rayon. Last week, I vaped almost exclusively Hangsen tobaccos and the wick+coil worked like a charm -- That was my personal record :) BTW, thanks again for the help in the Rayon thread :toast:

They have a very good rep. I've ordered a lot from them. Nothing to worry about. All there stuff is authentic and packaged in the original manufactures sealed packaging. When I saw they were going out of business I bought 5 50ml bottles of flavor and all were perfect. I'm just sad to see them go.
Thanks dannyv45, I ordered a bunch ( a big bunch, lol) of juices and flavors. At those prices, how can you now experiment? Already got notification that it shipped. Can't wait.

DNA40 is a board that advanced batteries use. Besides other things that board offers high temperature protection by monitoring the wire coil temperature. This prevents burning the juice.

It's very expensive at this time...

You can also buy premade coils with Non-resistance legs from FastTech.

You should check out the Rayon thread. Lots of relevant info there, read my posts and the replies to them there -- I asked lot of newbie questions:

right now i think my mod is at like .8 ohms. I only have a little k101 mod with an igo w. I dont know if I can go back to 1.5 ohms lol. but those precoiled coils look really appealing lol

totally gonna check out the rayon thread. I just use the organic cotton from cvs. I bet i can get some better flavor

FT has other coils too including subohm ones too. But I'm not sure if those have non-resistance (NR) legs. I need those since the coil legs are surrounded by silicone/rubber insulators. In your case NR legs might not be needed.

Yeah check out the Rayon thread and get yourself a big box of Rayon :)

the biggest thing I have been working on lately is just getting the right amount of wick in my coils. I always end up with burnt cotton and nasty coils. I clean my coils really well every rewick but have to rewick like everyday. its crazy that I am still learning how to wick well even after having this mod for 6 months

IMG_20141218_121459.jpg

this is my latest effort.

I suggest you repost this in the Rayon thread. There are lot of wick+coil wizards there :)

Just made a batch of Deluxe (Dunhill)-pretty darn good just with a few hours of hot bath. Very promising. less sweet to my taste than DE, smell of fresh cigarettes (mixed it at 7%)

Thanks Art. I had lumped Deluxe into category with Golden VI, Pure, Eastern, Concentrated, and Bold as having too much "fresh cut hay" for my taste. But you're right, I quite like the Deluxe -- it's very good. Perhaps I need to resample the others now that they've steeped a month.

What about Inawera's Virginias? Their TA Virginia is good, and I've used it as a complement to others.
I just got a bottle of the regular one (not TA). Will report later.
Thanks LoveVanilla.

I have but yet to mix -- just not enough vape hours in a day. Also have some DNB I have yet to try.

I have ~15 Inawera tobaccos and a few that are very good. And a few, like Tob Symphony and Classic Smooth, that I have no idea what to do with. However, went to crawl speed on Inawera after noting a distinctive buttery flavor in one tobacco. This left me with doubts on others that I like e.g. Don Hill, C Tobacco, Coffee Paradise, even Gold Ducat. Only one where I feel comfortable and confident at moment is the S'Camel. Have noted any buttery back notes?

The only Hangsen (tobacco) where I have doubts is their Pipe tobacco.
