Thanks! May I ask what percentage flavoring do you use for these average wise? I've been testing 3.5% for all and been OK with that so far.

The Canadian is like a strongly flavored Marlboro (i.e Red USA Mix). While Tab is faintly similar to Number 5. So narrows list to:

Churchill
Congress
Desert Ship
Magic Mix

Of these Churchill is Winston and Congress is Parliament; so somewhat similar. If I got only one, I'd choose Churchill.

And Desert Ship, Churchill, and Magic Mix is a damn fine list. Enjoy!

I like my hangsen tobaccos on the strong side so I do 7% across the board with all hangsen tobaccos. You'll find when using hangsen that they are consistant and most users seem to like 5% regardless of what tobacco is used. The only one that seems to be different is the cigar which most find on the weak side and most use 7% - 9% for that particular one. I also agree with that and went as high as 10% with it. Some have also reported the same with the pipe tobaccos but I have not tried any of the pipe tobaccos so can't confirm that.

Thanks Danny! In about 2 weeks, I might start tweaking the percentages. I'll probably end up staying between 3.5-5 % for most of them.

Just made a batch of Deluxe (Dunhill)-pretty darn good just with a few hours of hot bath. Very promising. less sweet to my taste than DE, smell of fresh cigarettes (mixed it at 7%)

Thanks! From smelling directly from the HS bottles, I find that the Indian and Arabic have the strongest and best aromas for me. And their vapes were satisfactory so far at 3.5%. But the following seems to be weak so far at 3.5%:

RY1
Elder Captain
No 5
Gold & Silver

I might need to adjust percentages of these after about 10 days. It's very early to tell but I'm not finding a big of a diffrence between the last three in that list.

So far Indian and Arabic are winners for me -- Indian with layers of earthiness and Arabic kind of a mix of spices reminding perhaps a leathery cigar wrapper plus earthy goodness

I used to mix Hangsen at 10% but lately I am trying 7% with good results on most. Some may find Arabic overwhelming at 7%. Out of the Hangsen flavors I've mixed, Arabic and Highway are the strongest (which i could even lower next batches to 5%), all the others are good at 7%, being Indian, Fortune Strike and #5 my favorites -and I think Deluxe will be added to my favorites after steeped. The only one that has been a total disappointment is CIGAR because it is really weak.

Here I am going to add: my percentage of satisfaction with a brand (measured by tobacco flavors purchased vs. flavors liked and still I'm using)-TFA 0%, FA 0%, FW 0%, INAWERA 10% ,TOBACCO EXPRESS 25%, HANGSEN 80%. To me nothing beats Hangsen. I am not talking about fruits, drinks, pastries, vegetables, dairy or other kind, I do only Tobacco because I stopped analogs, cigars and pipe back in 2009 and still miss them, but no way back. My apologies if some of the above comments are not pertinent to this HANGSEN thread.

I hope this is the right place to post this. I recently bought a 50ml bottle of Hangsen Butterscotch concentrate from buyhangsen.com. BUYER BEWARE! When the package arrived it was saturated with the liquid. The cap was not tightened all the way under the cellophane and a lot of it leaked out. The smell was horrible. The stamp stated that it was made in 2013. I thought that the flavoring may still be good and mixed some juice to find it did not resemble butterscotch in any way. It tasted like rotting cardboard. I contacted buyhangsen twice with no response which leaves me to believe that they have no intentions of an explaination or making anything right. I have to say that I feel like they ripped me off. That being said does anyone have a suggestion as to what the best company to get Hangsen flavors is?

I'm sorry to here that. If you still have the packaging it came in take a picture of it and go to buyhangsen.com's contact page and email them. If not then still just contact them and explain the bottle was leaking when you received it. There a good bunch of people to work with and they will make this right. If you have an issue PM me and I will contact Tom from Buyhangsen on your behalf. I know them quite well.

OK, so I got 2 jugs of Highway from buyhangsen a couple of weeks ago when the good prices were on. I made 50mls of Highway at 50pg/50vg, 12 mg. nic and 3.5% Highway flavoring. Shook the p--wadden out of the mix, warmed it to 140 for an hour, opened it to breathe air, cloosed and shook hell out of it again and let it set for 8 days, then tried it. It's ok, vapable, but all nutty/buttery popcornish flavor, no tobacco taste perceptible. Meh. I'll use it but it's BORING.

What should I use to get a basic tobacco taste? I've got plenty of AP to add just a little nutty taste in after the basic tobacco flavored juice is made. Just basic, no flowers, pancakes, cinnamon, custard, blueberry, sweets or chemistry lab explosion wanted.

Maybe Hangsen RY1? Only want a basic tobacco taste, then I can screw around with additives.

I just started my diy trip. I havent mixed anything yet, im waiting for my order. I ordered all TFA flavors from wizardlabs, black honey tobacco and flue cured tobacco and ry4. I wish I would have read this thread before i ordered. My biggest question for you tobacco flavor lovers...it seems hangsen is the go to for tobacco flavors (i like tobacco only, no fruit flavors) how much can you make from a 10ml bottle of flavor?

I also experience a lot of "gunking" on my coils from my local B&M premixed juices so hearing that hangsen is clear makes me think that using these flavors will help me get rid of that issue.

Are you guys mostly using VG or PG? i got a 16oz bottle of each and a 120ml bottle of 100mg nic. I figure that would last me for a while.

What are your thoughts guys? What Hangsen flavors would you reccomend to me?

Most people here seems to be very happy with Hangsen tobaccos, including myself. If you mix HS tobaccos at 5%, then you can get 200 ml juice from 10mL HS tobaccos essences.

I'm using 50/50 PG/VG and I'm happy with that.

The Hangsen tobaccos are not clear. Their not real bad on gunking coils but you will need to do some dry burn on your coils and re-wicking occasionally.

You can get close to a cigarette taste with several Hangsen flavors, however for an almost perfect Tobacco flavor (with which you can experiment with additives if you like) i would suggest Inawera's (WG) TA ABSOLUTE CUBAN. Unfortunately I haven't found anything similar from Hangsen.

It's not a matter of money or anything. They have completely ignored me. I have no desire to buy another flavor from them. I just received a 30ml of Butterscotch from RTS and right away I can tell the difference in smell. Just mixed 15ml w/

A good butterscotch has been hard to find I have my fingers crossed on this one. I have contacted hangsen directly and am working out the details of purchasing directly from China. 2 year old flavoring is ridiculous.

The biggest thing I am looking for is good tobacco flavor and also a nice throat hit. I use a mech so i cant adjust anything. im guessing by adjusting my pg/vg levels I can adjust my throat hit. How does 50/50 work for you?

I also seek good tobacco flavor but more like NET tobacco, like fresh leaves and not like burning analogs. But I don't like throat hit! The VT nic I mentioned has none to minimal throat hit. Others might be more helpful to you in this respect. But for DIY tobacco HS seems to be good maybe the best in what's out there, but don't expect a miracle I'm also new to HS tobaccos, and my initial impression is that some flavors are very similar to each other.

Let us know if you are seeking fresh leaf like tobacco or burning/analog tobacco. If you're seeking fresh leaves, you should try the Indian at 4-6%.
