Should I even reconsider Hangsen? Are there others that have a better reviews?

Hangsen makes very good tobacco flavorings but sadly RY4 is not one of them. Try TFA's ry4 double. For me TFA is overly sweet and very light on tobacco taste but the caramel is very pronounced. It seems to be the favorite among RY4 vapers. Also VZ as previously stated is not the best place to get Hangsen. I would go with the previously recommended venders for your flavor purchases. My recommendation would be RTS.

I didn't care for the Hangsen ry4 either. I like the ry4 double from TFA really well but my last bottle of it from WL was weak and the flavor wasn't correct. Bad batch I guess.

Have you tried making your own ry4 type mix. Tobacco, vanilla and carmel are the base flavors with nut if you like it (peanut, almond, hazelnut, etc.). Take a look at the big ry4 thread on here. Loads of good recipes in there.

Hello all. I'm new to this tread but have been vaping Hangsen tobacco flavors for about 9 months now. I do like their RY4, but I cannot mix it myself for the life of me. It's either no flavor, or too sweet. I can't find a middle ground. I've mixed other Hangsen and Inawere flavors with varied degrees of success. But I just can't get the RY4 right.
That's my sad story.

I usually get my Hangsen from China, but I came across buyhangsen.com last night and saw that they were going out of business and had good prices. Do they have a reputation around here? Is the stuff watered down or authentic, even?

Thanks

Glad you like the Indian, it is a fav of mine as well.
As far as coil gunking I havent noticed anything too bad although I vape at higher wattage (30-35) and I think it keeps the coil cleaner longer.

Kurt

Thanks Kurt for reminding me to try the Indian :thumb:

My coil looked fine after 2 mL :)

I got mine from buyhangsen.com and the bottles look authentic. The only thing is the expiration date is a year ahead and it was produced a year ago. I'm not sure how much difference that'll make though.

They have a very good rep. I've ordered a lot from them. Nothing to worry about. All there stuff is authentic and packaged in the original manufactures sealed packaging. When I saw they were going out of business I bought 5 50ml bottles of flavor and all were perfect. I'm just sad to see them go.

I haven't used Hangsen before and these juiices only steeped for 5 days now. So I don't have a good benchmark to compare to.

Overall, I'm happy with Indian, RY1 and Arabic so far -- the ones I sampled so far. There are similarities between them in terms of base tobacco taste. But I'm happy that the base tastes like tobacco, not like fennel :)

I'm thinking that combining the Arabic and Indian might make a very good vape.

Did you taste before steeping. Tasting first then steeping is how you establish a baseline (benchmark).

The reason they taste like real tobacco is because the flavoring is made with real tobacco essence.

Thanks. By benchmark, I meant that I don't have much Hangsen experience from other vendors.

I usually let juices steep at least three days before tasting. Then I sample about twice a week. That gives me a decent idea of how they're progressing.

Yes, indeed made from tobacco! In my experience, Indian tasted like a fine NET, but without gunking coils so far :) I need to test this more though...

Two US sources for Hangsen-packaged flavors that I know, BullCityVaper and BuyHangsen. I've had good results using both as well as RTSVape. As others have mentioned, RY4 is not among their best tobacco flavors.

It sounds like RTS repackages Hangsen but people had no quality issues with them so far?

Hangsen tobaccos are the best tobaccos IMO. 90% of the tobacco mixes I make I use hangsen. At buyhangsen's going out of business prices you can afford to try many of there offerings so I would suggest taking advantage of that. You won't find those prices again.

Wow I can't believe RTS 10 mL Hangsen Tobacco prices, $5.85! Bull City Vapor have both lower prices and original packaging!

Agreed on the buyhangsen's sale... I just need to figure out which ones I should get. For example, I sampled RY1 and Indian. I like both but Indian is like a more complex version of RY1 so far. Well maybe I'm talking too soon. I need let these steep at least 3 weeks before making judgments...

I just checked inventory at buyhangsen, and would recommend:

Arabic
Canadian
Churchill
Congress
Desert Ship
Gold and Silver
Highway
Indian
Magic Mix
Red USA
Number 5
RY1
Tab Blended
USA Mix

All of these available in 10ml size -- and all are winners. Enjoy!

Thanks! May I ask what percentage flavoring do you use for these average wise? I've been testing 3.5% for all and been OK with that so far.

From your list, I have:

Arabic
Indian
Number 5
RY1
Gold and Silver

In addition, I also have Pipe and Elder Captain.

I don't have:

Canadian
Churchill
Congress
Desert Ship
Highway
Magic Mix
Red USA
Tab Blended
USA Mix

I've been reading that Highway and No 5 are similar. Also USA Mix and Red USA are kind of similar and more analog like, so I think I can skip them. I might be wrong about these two though... I'm looking for more fresh tobacco taste.

The short list :

Canadian
Churchill
Congress
Desert Ship
Magic Mix
Tab Blended

Would any of the above be quite unique with respect to the ones below?

Arabic
Indian
Number 5
RY1
Gold and Silver
Pipe
Elder Pipe

Cheers :)

I like my hangsen tobaccos on the strong side so I do 7% across the board with all hangsen tobaccos. You'll find when using hangsen that they are consistant and most users seem to like 5% regardless of what tobacco is used. The only one that seems to be different is the cigar which most find on the weak side and most use 7% - 9% for that particular one. I also agree with that and went as high as 10% with it. Some have also reported the same with the pipe tobaccos but I have not tried any of the pipe tobaccos so can't confirm that.

I hope this is the right place to post this. I recently bought a 50ml bottle of Hangsen Butterscotch concentrate from buyhangsen.com. BUYER BEWARE! When the package arrived it was saturated with the liquid. The cap was not tightened all the way under the cellophane and a lot of it leaked out. The smell was horrible. The stamp stated that it was made in 2013. I thought that the flavoring may still be good and mixed some juice to find it did not resemble butterscotch in any way. It tasted like rotting cardboard. I contacted buyhangsen twice with no response which leaves me to believe that they have no intentions of an explaination or making anything right. I have to say that I feel like they ripped me off. That being said does anyone have a suggestion as to what the best company to get Hangsen flavors is?
